1Collagen-binding basic fibroblast growth factor improves functional remodeling of scarred endometrium in uterine infertile women: a pilot study显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion(IUA) is a common cause of uterine infertility and one of the most severe clinical features is endometrial fibrosis namely endometrial scarring for which there are few cures currently. Blocked angiogenesis is the main pathological change in the scarred endometrium. The fibroblast growth factor 2(b FGF), a member of FGF family, is usually applied to promote healing of refractory ulcer and contributes to angiogenesis of tissues. In this study, the sustained-release system of b FGF100 μg was administrated around scarred endometrium guiding by ultrasound every 4 weeks in 18 patients(2–4 times). Results showed that after treatment, the menstrual blood volume, endometrial thickness and the scarred endometrial area were improved.Histological study showed blood vessel density increased obviously. Three patients(3/18) achieved pregnancy over 20 gestational weeks. 2Small molecule inhibitors reveal allosteric regulation of USP14 via steric blockade显示文摘The ubiquitin system is important for drug discovery,and the discovery of selective small-molecule inhibitors of deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) remains an active yet extremely challenging task. With a few exceptions,previously developed inhibitors have been found to bind the evolutionarily conserved catalytic centers of DUBs,resulting in poor selectivity. The small molecule IU1 was the first-ever specific inhibitor identified and exhibited surprisingly excellent selectivity for USP14 over other DUBs. However,the molecular mechanism for this selectivity was elusive. Herein,we report the high-resolution co-crystal structures of the catalytic domain of USP14 bound to IU1 and three IU1 derivatives. All the structures of these complexes indicate that IU1 and its analogs bind to a previously unknown steric binding site in USP14,thus blocking the access of the C-terminus of ubiquitin to the active site of USP14 and abrogating USP14 activity. Importantly,this steric site in USP14 is very unique,as suggested by structural alignments of USP14 with several known DUB X-ray structures. These results,in conjunction with biochemical characterization,Indicate a coherent steric blockade mechanism for U5P14 inhibition by compounds of the IU series. 4Optimization of mechanical property, antibacterial property and corrosion resistance of Ti-Cu alloy for dental implant显示文摘Ti-Cu alloys with different Cu contents(3, 5 and 7 wt%) were fabricated and studied as novel antibacterial biomaterials for dental application. The Ti-Cu alloys were annealing treated at different temperatures(740℃, 830℃ and 910℃) in order to obtain three typical microstructures, β-Ti + Ti2Cu, β-Ti + transformed α-Ti, and transformed α-Ti. Mechanical, antibacterial and biocorrosion properties of Ti-Cu alloys with different microstructures were well analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), tensile test, electrochemical test and antibacterial test. The results indicated that the Ti-Cu alloys with microstructure of β-Ti + Ti2 Cu showed the best ductility compared with other Ti-Cu alloys with microstructures of β-Ti + transformed α-Ti and complete transformed α-Ti, and meanwhile, increase of the Cu content significantly contributed to the decreased ductility due to the increasing amount of Ti2 Cu, which brought both solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening. 5Interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism induced by phase boundary toward better aqueous Zn-ion battery显示文摘Biphasic and multiphasic compounds have been well clarified to achieve extraordinary electrochemical properties as advanced energy storage materials.Yet the role of phase boundaries in improving the performance is remained to be illustrated.Herein,we reported the biphasic vanadate,that is,Na_(1.2)V_(3)O_(8)/K_(2)V_(6)O_(16)·1.5H_(2)O(designated as Na0.5K0.5VO),and detected the novel interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism induced by phase boundaries.Firstprinciples calculations indicated that large amount of Zn^(2+)and H^(+)ions would be absorbed by the phase boundaries and most of them would insert into the host structure,which not only promote the specific capacity,but also effectively reduce diffusion energy barrier toward faster reaction kinetics.Driven by this advanced interfacial adsorption-insertion mechanism,the aqueous Zn/Na_(0.5)K_(0.5)VO is able to perform excellent rate capability as well as long-term cycling performance.A stable capacity of 267 mA h g^(-1)after 800 cycles at 5 A g^(-1)can be achieved.The discovery of this mechanism is beneficial to understand the performance enhancement mechanism of biphasic and multiphasic compounds as well as pave pathway for the strategic design of highperformance energy storage materials.Lutong Shan Yiren Wang Shuquan Liang Boya Tang Yongqiang Yang Ziqing Wang Bingan Lu Jiang Zhou 2021InfoMat2021,3,9:8
6Simultaneous regulation of cations and anions in an electrolyte for high-capacity, high-stability aqueous zinc–vanadium batteries显示文摘Safe,inexpensive aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)are regarded as promising energy storage devices.However,they still face issues,including dissolution and collapse of the cathode as well as H_(2)evolution and the growth of Zn dendrites on the Zn anode.Herein,we simultaneously regulate the cations and anions in the electrolyte for high-capacity,high-stability aqueous zinc–vanadium(Zn–V)batteries based on a bimetallic cation-doped Na_(0.33)K_(0.1)V_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O cathode.We demonstrate that Na^(+) cations suppress cathode dissolution and restrain Zn dendrite growth on the anode via an electrostatic shield effect.We also illustrate that ClO_(4)^(-) anions participate in energy storage at the cathode and are reduced to Cl^(-),generating a protective layer on the Zn anode surface and providing a stable interface to decrease Zn dendrites and H_(2)evolution during long-term cycling.When Na^(+) and ClO_(4)^(-) are introduced into an aqueous ZnSO_(4) electrolyte,a Zn/Zn symmetric cell shows durable and reversible Zn stripping/plating for 1500 h at a current density of 1 mA cm^(-2) and with an area capacity of 1 mAh cm^(-2).Zn/Na_(0.33)K_(0.1)V_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O full batteries exhibit a high capacity of 600 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1) and long-term cycling performance for 5000 cycles,with a capacity of 200 mAh g^(-1) at 20 Ag^(-1).Ziqing Wang Miao Zhou Liping Qin Minghui Chen Zixian Chen Shan Guo Liangbing Wang Guozhao Fang Shuquan Liang 2022eScience2022,2,2:8

8Highly reversible lead-carbon battery anode with lead grafting on thecarbon surface显示文摘A novel C/Pb composite has been successfully prepared by electroless plating to reduce the hydrogen evolution and achieve the high reversibility of the anode of lead-carbon battery(LCB). The deposited lead on the surface of C/Pb composite was found to be uniform and adherent to carbon surface. Because lead has been stuck on the surface of C/Pb composite, the embedded structure suppresses the hydrogen evolution of lead-carbon anode and strengthens the connection between carbon additive and sponge lead.Compared with the blank anode, the lead-carbon anode with C/Pb composite displays excellent charge—discharge reversibility, which is attributed to the good connection between carbon additives and lead that has been stuck on the surface of C/Pb composite during the preparation process. 10Classification of traditional Chinese medicine constitution based on facial features in color images显示文摘Objective:To explore the possible correlation between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution and facial features in color images and to improve the accuracy of automated constitution classification.Methods:Color images were taken of 5150 individuals of different professions.Automated face detection and key point positioning were performed on the collected images,which were then transformed into a standard size.The relationship between facial features and TCM constitution based on the red,green,blue(RGB)pixel and the local binary pattern(LBP)texture features was explored.Results:The overall accuracy rate and robustness of TCM constitution classification based on RGB features were low.Classification results of the phlegm-dampness,damp-heat,blood stasis,and balance constitutions achieved high accuracy rates.Classification accuracy rate using the LBP texture feature was higher than that of the RGB feature,with the best accuracy observed for the balance constitution.Conclusion:Application of computer image acquisition and processing of facial features may serve as an adjunct to the TCM diagnostic method of inspection.Jian Zhang Shujuan Hou Ji Wang Lingru Li Pin Li Junwen Han Haiqiang Yao Ranran Sun Ziqing Li Zhen Lei Qi Wang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2016,3,3:5
11Molecular cloning and expression under abiotic stresses and hormones of the ethylene response factor Ⅶ gene FmRAP2.12 from Fraxinus mandshurica显示文摘RELATED TO AP2.12(RAP2.12)is one of the Ethylene Response Factors(ERF)transcription factor and plays a key role in controlling plant root bending and responding to multiple abiotic stresses including hypoxia stress.In this study,FmRAP2.12 gene was isolated and characterized from Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.The open reading frame(ORF)of FmRAP2.12 was 1170 bp and encoded a protein of 389 amino acids.The conserved domains,three-dimensional phylogenetic relationship of FmRAP2.12 was also investigated.Quantitative real-time(qRT-PCR)analyzed the expression of FmRAP2.12 in different tissues.The expression level of FmRAP2.12 was highest in roots followed by leaves,and lowest in male flowers.Abiotic stress and hormone signal-induced expression was established using qRT-PCR.Salt stress induced FmRAP2.12 to a double peak pattern:the first peak value was at 6 h and the second at 72 h.Drought stress also induced FmRAP2.12 to a double peak pattern:the first at6 h and the second at 48 h.FmRAP2.12 was up-regulated after initiation of gibberellic acid(GA3)treatment,with a one peak pattern at 24 h.FmRAP2.12 may not respond to cold stress and Abscisic acid(ABA)treatment.The transient overexpression of FmRAP2.12 caused the up-expression of downstream key genes of abiotic stress response and gibberellin pathway.Our research reveals the molecular characteristic and expression patterns under abiotic stress and hormone condition of FmRAP2.12,providing support for the genetic improvement of F.mandshurica at a molecular level.Nansong Liang Lei Yu Chunhao Liu Ziqing Wang Xingtang Zhao Yaguang Zhan 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4:3

13Application of imputation methods to genomic selection in Chinese Holstein cattle显示文摘Missing genotypes are a common feature of high density SNP datasets obtained using SNP chip technology and this is likely to decrease the accuracy of genomic selection. This problem can be circumvented by imputing the missing genotypes with estimated genotypes. When implementing imputation, the criteria used for SNP data quality control and whether to perform imputation before or after data quality control need to consider. In this paper, we compared six strategies of imputation and quality control using different imputation methods, different quality control criteria and by changing the order of imputation and quality control, against a real dataset of milk production traits in Chinese Holstein cattle. The results demonstrated that, no matter what imputation method and quality control criteria were used, strategies with imputation before quality control performed better than strategies with imputation after quality control in terms of accuracy of genomic selection. The different imputation methods and quality control criteria did not significantly influence the accuracy of genomic selection. 14Preliminary study of microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of antibacterial Ti-15Zr-xCu alloy for dental application显示文摘Ti-15 Zr-xCu(3≤x≤7,wt.%) novel antibacterial and antibiofilm alloys with competitive mechanical properties,biological responses and corrosion resistance were designed and fabricated.Annealing heat treatment on Ti-15 Zr-7 Cu(TZC-7 A),after holding for 2 h at slightly above their beta transus temperature(BTT) ensured their tensile strength(UTS),yield strength(YS) and hardness(HRV) were improved by31.2%,20% and 12.3% respectively compared to the control without Cu,Ti-15 Zr(T-15 ZA).Although the3 wt.% Cu alloy displayed the highest elongation(26%),the TZC-7 A alloy also possessed a good ductility.Presence of evenly dispersed Ti2 Cu and Zr2 Cu Cu-rich intermetallic phases formed as interwoven and alternating lamellae within the α+β matrix as a result of Cu addition,as revealed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).These greatly contributed to their strengthening and bactericidal properties.Over 98% antibacterial effect against E.coli and S.aureus have been imparted,coupled with excellent biofilm inhibition.Potentiodynamic polarization curves showed that the TZC-7 A alloy possessed higher corrosion resistance than commercially pure titanium,cp-Ti;contact angle test revealed enhanced hydrophilicity;while confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) and cell counting kit(CCK-8) assays also displayed drastically lowered bacterial adhesion rate with comparatively no cytotoxicity.Cell attachment on all alloys was similar but the best spread was obtained on TZC-7 A after 24 h.The developed alloy has good potential as an antibacterial implant material with combination of optimized properties.Sharafadeen Kunle Kolawole Wang Hai Shuyuan Zhang Ziqing Sun Muhammad Ali Siddiqui Ihsan Ullah Wei Song Frank Witte Ke Yang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15:2
15The prognostic landscape of genes and infiltrating immune cells in cytokine induced killer cell treated-lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma显示文摘Objective:Patients with non–small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)respond differently to cytokine-induced killer cell(CIK)treatment.Therefore,potential prognostic markers to identify patients who would benefit from CIK treatment must be elucidated.The current research aimed at identifying predictive prognostic markers for efficient CIK treatment of patients with NSCLC.Methods:Patients histologically diagnosed with NSCLC were enrolled from the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital.We performed whole-exome sequencing(WES)on the tumor tissues and paired adjacent benign tissues collected from 50 patients with NSCLC,and RNA-seq on tumor tissues of 17 patients with NSCLC before CIK immunotherapy treatment.Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was used to analyze the association between clinical parameters and prognostic relevance.WES and RNA-seq data between lung squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)and adenocarcinoma(Aden)were analyzed and compared.Results:The pathology subtype of lung cancer was the most significantly relevant clinical parameter associated with DFS,as analyzed by multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression(P=0.031).The patients with lung SCC showed better CIK treatment efficacy and extended DFS after CIK treatment.Relatively low expression of HLA class II genes and checkpoint molecules,and less immunosuppressive immune cell infiltration were identified in the patients with lung SCC.Conclusions:Coordinated suppression of the expression of HLA class II genes and checkpoint molecules,as well as less immune suppressive cell infiltration together contributed to the better CIK treatment efficacy in lung SCC than lung Aden.Jian Wang Fan Yang Qian Sun Ziqing Zeng Min Liu Wenwen Yu Peng Zhang Jinpu Yu Lili Yang Xinwei Zhang Xiubao Ren Feng Wei 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:1

19Accumulation, transportation, and distribution of tetracycline and cadmium in rice显示文摘Co-exposure to heavy metal and antibiotic pollution might result in complexation and synergistic interactions,affecting rice growth and further exacerbating pollutant enrichment.Therefore,our study sought to clarify the influence of different Tetracycline (TC) and Cadmium(Cd) concentration ratios (both alone and combined) on rice growth,pollutant accumulation,and transportation during the tillering stage in hydroponic system.Surprisingly,our findings indicated that the interaction between TC and Cd could alleviate the toxic effects of TC/Cd on aerial rice structures and decrease pollutant burdens during root elongation.In contrast,TC and Cd synergistically promoted the accumulation of TC/Cd in rice roots.However,their interaction increased the accumulation of TC in roots while decreasing the accumulation of Cd when the toxicant doses increased.The strong affinity of rice to Cd promoted its upward transport from the roots,whereas the toxic effects of TC reduced TC transport.Therefore,the combined toxicity of the two pollutants inhibited their upward transport.Additionally,a low concentration of TC promoted the accumulation of Cd in rice mainly in the root tip.Furthermore,a certain dose of TC promoted the upward migration of Cd from the root tip.Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry demonstrated that Cd mainly accumulated in the epidermis and stele of the root,whereas Fe mainly accumulated in the epidermis,which inhibited the absorption and accumulation of Cd by the rice roots through the generation of a Fe plaque.Our findings thus provide insights into the effects of TC and Cd co-exposure on rice growth.Chunfeng He Jini Zhou Chen Yang Zhiyi Song Junheng He Ziqing Huang Yurong Deng Jinling Wang Yu Xiong Zhi Dang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:1
