| 1 | Seafloor hydrothermal activity and polymetallic sulfide exploration on the southwest Indian ridge显示文摘Polymetallic sulfides have attracted more attentions,which are regarded as one of the potential seabed mineral resources for their high grade of precious metal elements such as Cu,Zn,Pb,Au,and Ag.Since2007,there are four China dayang cruises(CDCs)with eight legs totally,which have been carried out to investigate polymetallic sulfides on the southwest Indian ridge(SWIR),and eight hydrothermal vents have been found.In2011,the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association(COMRA)and International Seabed Authority(ISA)signed a 15-year contract for exploration for polymetallic sulfides located on the SWIR between 46°S and 53°S.The area allocated to the COMRA is approximately 10,000 km2.In this paper,we review the recent research advances about hydrothermal activity of the SWIR by the CDCs.As for the sulfides exploration in the future,some aspects should be emphasized,such as the controlling factors of sulfide mineralization on the SWIR,prospecting methods of inactive and buried sulfide deposits,sulfides resources assessment method,and the nearbottom sulfides exploration technology systems. | Chunhui Tao Huaiming Li Xiaobing Jin Jianping Zhou Tao Wu Yonghua He Xianming Deng Chunhua Gu Guoyin Zhang Weiyong Liu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19: | 25 |

| 3 | The new interpretation of support vector machines on statistical learning theory显示文摘This paper is concerned with the theoretical foundation of support vector machines (SVMs). The purpose is to develop further an exact relationship between SVMs and the statistical learning theory (SLT). As a representative, the standard C-support vector classification (C-SVC) is considered here. More precisely, we show that the decision function obtained by C-SVC is just one of the decision functions obtained by solving the optimization problem derived directly from the structural risk minimization principle. | 4 | Isolation of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone and Its Receptor Genes from Scatophagus argus and Their Expression Analyses显示文摘The teleost Scatophagus argus is a species whose females grows faster than males.Growth hormone(gh)mRNA abundance in females pituitary is higher than that in males;however the mechanism underlining such differential is still unknown.Growth hormone(GH)is tightly associated with GH-releasing hormone(Ghrh)in vertebrates.In this study,Ghrh gene(ghrh)and its receptor gene,ghrhr,were isolated from S.argus.Tissue expression analysis showed that ghrh and ghrhr were mainly expressed in hypothalamus while ghrhr was expressed in pituitary and gh was predominantly expressed in pituitary.Twenty cultured S.argus individuals were used to compare ghrh,ghrhr and gh mRNA abundances,120 g and 181 g average weight for male(n=11)and female(n=9),respectively.Real-time PCR indicated that the ghrh and ghrhr mRNA abundances in male hypothalamus were significantly higher than those in female hypothalamus while that of gh mRNA abundance was significantly higher in female pituitary than in male pituitary.The ghrh and ghrhr mRNA abundances were significantly up-regulated in female hypothalamus 3 h after injection of 0.1 mg kg^-1 body weight Ghrh while pituitary ghrhr and gh mRNA abundances were not affected.In female hypothalamus,ghrh and ghrhr m RNA abundances were not affected at 6 h post-injection of 4 mg kg^-1 body weight 17α-methyltes-tosterone(17α-MT)or 17β-Estradiol(E2).In female pituitary,ghrhr m RNA abundance was down-regulated by 17α-MT while that of gh m RNA abundance was up-regulated by E2.Our findings indicated that E2,rather than Ghrh,plays an important role in up-regulating the expression of gh in female S.argus,which should aid to understand the sexual dimorphism of teleost growth. | JIANG Dongneng SHI Hongjuan LIU Qianqing WANG Tuo HUANG Yuanqing HUANG Yang DENG Siping CHEN Huapu TIAN Changxu ZHU Chunhua LI Guangli | 2019 | Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,6: | 6 |

| 13 | Single molecular insight into steric effect on C-terminal amino acids with various hydrogen bonding sites显示文摘Amino acids are basic units to construct a protein with the assistance of various interactions.During this building process,steric hindrance derived from amino acid side groups or side chains is a factor that could not be ignored.In this contribution,adsorption behaviors of C-terminal amino acid derivatives with amino acid residues fused in 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride were investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations at various liquid/solid interfaces.STM results at 1-phenyloctane/HOPG interface show that N,N'-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide(GP)and N,N'-methyl-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide(AP)formed linear and herringbone structures,respectively.The driving force could be attributed to different H-bonding sites induced by steric hindrance at side groups.N,N'-Benzyl-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide(PP)generates both linear and herringbone structures because steric hindrance changes the H-bonding sites between PP molecules,whereas N,N'-isopropyl-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide(LP)failed to be imaged because of strong steric hindrance coming from larger side group.To further investigate the impact of steric hindrance,we utilized octanoic acid(OA)as solvent to capture the adsorption details of LP and PP.We found that OA molecules drag PP and LP molecules in a different direction to generate linear structure,impeding the molecular rotation.The structure–solvent relationship shows that the steric hindrance is brought by the large side group,which makes it easier to recognize OA molecules at the interface.These results demonstrate that steric effect plays a significant role in altering interaction sites of the compounds during the adsorption process at the liquid/solid interface. | Yunzhi Xie Chunhua Liu Linxiu Cheng Yulan Fan Huifang Li Wei Liu Lei Zhu Xun Li Ke Deng Qingdao Zeng Shoufa Han | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,10: | 1 |

| 20 | Promoting oral mucosal wound healing using a DCS-RuB_(2)A_(2) hydrogel based on a photoreactive antibacterial and sustained release of BMSCs显示文摘The high occurrence rate and difficulties in symptom control are listed as the major problems of oral mucosal disease by medical professionals.Following the development of oral mucosal lesions,the oral microenvironment changes,immunity declines,and continuous bacterial stimulation causes wound infection.Traditional antibacterial drugs are ineffective for oral mucosal lesions.To overcome this problem,a light-responsive antibacterial hydrogel containing sustained-release BMSCs was inspired by the trauma environment in the oral cavity,which is different from that on the body surface since it mostly remains under dark conditions.In the absence of light,the hydrogel seals the wound to form a barrier,exerts a natural bacteriostatic effect,and prevents invasion by foreign bacteria.Simultaneously,mesenchymal stem cells are presented,and the released growth factors and other substances have excellent anti-inflammatory and angiogenic effects,which result in rapid repair of the damaged site.Under light conditions,after photo-induced shedding of the hydrogel,RuB_(2)A exerts an antibacterial effect accompanied by degradation of the hydrogel.Results in a rat oral mucosal repair model demonstrate that DCS-RuB_(2)A_(2)-BMSCs could rapidly repair the oral mucosa within 4 days.Sequencing data provide ideas for further analysis of the intrinsic molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways.Taken together,our results suggest that this light-responsive antibacterial hydrogel loaded with BMSCs can be used for rapid wound repair and may advance the development of therapeutic strategies for the treatment of clinical oral mucosal defects. | Wenxin Qi Naijun Dong Lingling Wu Xueqi Zhang He Li Hao Wu Natalie Ward Jian Yu He Liu Jiao Wang Xiaoyong Deng Robert Chunhua Zhao | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,5: | 0 |
