1Qinghu zircon:A working reference for microbeam analysis of U-Pb age and Hf and O isotopes显示文摘Zircon is the most useful mineral for studies in U-Pb geochronology and Hf and O isotope geochemistry.Matrix effect is a major problem of the microbeam techniques such as SIMS and LA-(MC)-ICPMS.Therefore,external standardization using well-characterized natural zircon standards is fundamental for accurate microbeam measurements.While the isotopic geochronology and geochemistry laboratories equipped with microbeam analytical facilities have been increasingly established in China during the past decade,applications of the isotopic microanalysis are still limited due to shortage of available standards.We report here the Qinghu zircon as a potential new working reference for microbeam analysis of zircon U-Pb age and O-Hf isotopes.This zircon was separated from the Qinghu quartz monzonite from the western Nanling Range,Southeast China.It is fairly homogeneous in U-Pb age and Hf and O isotopes in terms of large amounts of mircobeam measurements by LA-MC-ICPMS and SIMS at the scales of 20–60 m.SIMS measurements yield consistent206Pb/238U age within analytical uncertainties with that obtained by ID-TIMS.Precise determinations of O isotopes by IRMS and Hf isotopes by solution MC-ICPMS are in good agreement with the statistical mean of microbeam measurements.We recommend U-Pb age of=159.5±0.2 Ma(2SE),18O=5.4‰±0.2‰(2SD)and176Hf/177Hf=0.283002±0.000004(2SD)as the best reference values for the Qinghu zircon.LI XianHua TANG GuoQiang GONG Bing YANG YueHeng HOU KeJun HU ZhaoChu LI QiuLi LIU Yu LI WuXian 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,36:60
2Episodic crustal anatexis and the formation of Paiku composite leucogranitic pluton in the Malashan Gneiss Dome, Southern Tibet显示文摘The Paiku composite leucogranitic pluton in the Malashan gneiss dome within the Tethyan Himalaya consists of tourmaline leucogranite,two-mica granite and garnet-bearing leucogranite.Zircon U-Pb dating yields that(1)tourmaline leucogranite formed at28.2±0.5 Ma and its source rock experienced simultaneous metamorphism and anatexis at 33.6±0.6 Ma;(2)two-mica granite formed at 19.8±0.5 Ma;(3)both types of leucogranite contain inherited zircon grains with an age peak at^480 Ma.These leucogranites show distinct geochemistry in major and trace elements as well as in Sr-Nd-Hf isotope compositions.As compared to the two-mica granites,the tourmaline ones have higher initial Sr and zircon Hf isotope compositions,indicating that they were derived from different source rocks combined with different melting reactions.Combined with available literature data,it is suggested that anatexis at^35 Ma along the Himalayan orogenic belt might have triggered the initial movement of the Southern Tibetan Detachment System(STDS),and led to the tectonic transition from compressive shortening to extension.Such a tectonic transition could be a dominant factor that initiates large scale decompressional melting of fertile high-grade metapelites along the Himalayan orogenic belt.Crustal anatexis at^28 Ma and^20 Ma represent large-scale melting reactions associated with the movement of the STDS.GAO LiE ZENG LingSen HOU KeJun GUO ChunLi TANG SuoHan XIE KeJia HU GuYue WANG Li 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:23
3Separation and Precise Measurement of Lithium Isotopes in Three Reference Materials Using Multi Collector-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Lithium separation technique for three reference materials has been established together with precise determination of lithium isotope using a Neptune multi collector-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS). The solutions of lithium element standard reference materials, potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium and iron single element, were used to evaluate analytical methods applied. Three separate stages of ion-exchange chromatography were carried out using organic cation-exchange resin (AG 50W-X8). Lithium was enriched for the three stages using different eluants, which are 2.8 M HCl, 0.15 M HCl and 0.5 M HCl in 30% ethanol, respectively. The columns for the first and second stages are made of polypropylene, and those for the third stage are made of quartz. Total reagent volume for the entire chemical process was 35 mL for three reference materials. The recovery yielded for the three stages is 98.9-101.2% with an average of 100.0%, 97.6- 101.9% with an average of 99.9%, and 99.8-103.3% with an average of 100.6%, respectively. The precision of this technique is conservatively estimated to be ±0.72-1.04‰ (2σ population), which is similar to the precision obtained by different authors in different laboratories with MC-ICP-MS. The δ 7 Li values ( 7 Li/ 6 Li relative to the IRMM-016 standard) determined for andesite (AGV-2) and basalt (BHVO-2) are 5.68‰ (n=18), 4.33‰ (n=18), respectively. The δ 7 Li value ( 7 Li/ 6 Li relative to the L-SVEC standard) determined for IRMM-016 is -0.01‰ (n=15). All these analytical results are in good agreement with those previously reported. In addition, the results for the same kinds of samples analyzed at the MLR Key Laboratory of Metallogeny and Mineral Assessment, Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, are consistent with those obtained at the Plasma Laboratory, University of Maryland, within analytical uncertainty. 4Emission scenario of non-CO_2 gases from energy activities and other sources in China显示文摘This paper gives a quantitative analysis on the non-CO2 emissions related to energy demand, energy activities and land use change of six scenarios with different development pattern in 2030 and 2050 based on IPAC emission model. The various mitigation technologies and policies are assessed to understand the corresponding non-CO2 emission reduction effect. The research shows that the future non-CO2 emissions of China will grow along with increasing energy demand, in which thermal power and transportation will be the major emission and mitigation sectors. During the cause of future social and economic development, the control and mitigation of non-CO2 emissions is a problem as challenging and pressing as that of CO2 emissions.This study indicates that the energy efficiency improvement, renewable energy, advanced nuclear power generation, fuel cell, coal-fired combined cycle, clean coal and motor vehicle emission control technologies will contribute to non-CO2 emissions control and mitigation.JIANG Kejun HU Xiulian 2005Science China(Life Sciences)2005,48,z2:4
5First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 6First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 7Piezoresistive effect in carbonnanotube films显示文摘The piezoresistive effect of the pristine carbon nanotube (CNT) films has been studied. Carbon nanotubes were synthesized by hot filament chemical vapor deposition. The piezoresistive effect in the pristine CNT films was stud-ied by a three-point bending test. The gauge factor for the pristine CNT films under 500 microstrains was found to be at least 65 at room temperature, and increased with tem-perature, exceeding that of polycrystalline silicon (30) at 35℃. 12Electrochemical investigation on the interaction of benzene sulfonyl 5-fluorouracil derivatives with double-stranded DNA and G-quadruplex DNA显示文摘The interaction of double-stranded(ds) and G-quadruplex(G4) DNA with sulfonyl 5-fluorouracil derivatives(5-fluoro-1-(arylsulfonyl) pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-diones) was investigated in this research,in which Au electrodes modified with ds-DNA or G4-DNAs were used as a working electrode.The investigation showed that the binding affinity with G4-DNA was significantly increased when 5-fluorouracil(5-FU) was modified with arylsulfonyl groups.The presence of strong electron-withdrawing groups on benzene sulfonyl 5-FU greatly enhanced the binding selectivity(k G4-DNA /k ds-DNA).Such results provided new insights into the potential connections between the chemical structure of drug candidates and their anticancer activities.HU Quan ZHANG KeJun JIN HuiLe CHEN XiAn HU MaoLin WANG Shun 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,7:1

17Implications of Carbon and Energy Taxes as Instrument for Environmental Emission Reduction in China's Power Sector显示文摘With the Integrated Resources Planning Assessment (IRPA) model, implications of carbon tax and energy tax on technological selection, power price and environmental pollution in power industry of China were studied. This model is a least-cost generation planning model, with which the technological composition, electricity price and pollutant emission can be calculated by comparing the cost changes for different power generation options due to carbon and energy taxes. The primary simulation result shows that the levy of US$ 25/tC carbon tax or US$ 0.5/Mbtu energy tax can improve the power generation structure and greatly reduce CO2, SO2 and NOX emissions in power industry. 20Regulating off-centering distortion maximizes photoluminescence in halide perovskites显示文摘Metal halide perovskites possess unique atomic and electronic configurations that endow them with high defect tolerance and enable high-performance photovoltaics and optoelectronics.Perovskite light-emitting diodes have achieved an external quantum efficiency of over 20%.Despite tremendous progress,fundamental questions remain,such as how structural distortion affects the optical properties.Addressing their relationships is considerably challenging due to the scarcity of effective diagnostic tools during structural and property tuning as well as the limited tunability achievable by conventional methods.Here,using pressure and chemical methods to regulate the metal off-centering distortion,we demonstrate the giant tunability of photoluminescence(PL)in both the intensity(>20 times)and wavelength(>180 nm/GPa)in the highly distorted halide perovskites[CH_(3)NH_(3)GeI_(3),HC(NH_(2))2GeI_(3),and Cs Ge I_(3)].Using advanced in situ high-pressure probes and first-principles calculations,we quantitatively reveal a universal relationship whereby regulating the level of off-centering distortion towards 0.2 leads to the best PL performance in the halide perovskites.By applying this principle,intense PL can still be induced by substituting CH_(3)NH_(3)^(+)with Cs^(+)to control the distortion in(CH_(3)NH_(3))_(1-x)Cs_(x)GeI_(3),where the chemical substitution plays a similar role as external pressure.The compression of a fully substituted sample of CsGe I_(3)further tunes the distortion to the optimal value at 0.7 GPa,which maximizes the emission with a10-fold enhancement.This work not only demonstrates a quantitative relationship between structural distortion and PL property of the halide perovskites but also illustrates the use of knowledge gained from high-pressure research to achieve the desired properties by ambient methods.Xujie Lv Constantinos Stoumpos Qingyang Hu Xuedan Ma Dongzhou Zhang Songhao Guo Justin Hoffman Kejun Bu Xiaofeng Guo Yingqi Wang Cheng Ji Haijie Chen Hongwu Xu Quanxi Jia Wenge Yang Mercouri G.Kanatzidis Ho-Kwang Mao 2021National Science Review2021,8,9:1
