2Approaching the minimum lattice thermal conductivity of p-type SnTe thermoelectric materials by Sb and Mg alloying显示文摘SnTe, as the nontoxic analogue to high-performance PbTe thermoelectric material, has captured the worldwide interest recently. Many triumphant instances focus on the strategies of band convergence, resonant doping, and nano-precipitates phonon scattering. Herein, the p-type SnTe-based materials Sn0.85-xSb0.15MgxTe (x=0-0.10) are fabricated and a combined effect of Sb and Mg is investigated. Sb alloying tunes the hole carrier concentration of SnTe and decreases the lattice thermal conductivity. Mg alloying leads to a nearly hundredfold rise of disorder parameter due to the large mass and strain fluctuations, and as a consequence the lattice thermal conductivity decreases further down to ~0.64Wm^-1K^-1 at 773K, close to the theoretical minimum of the lattice thermal conductivity (~0.50Wm^-1K^-1) of SnTe. In conjunction with the enhancement of the Seebeck coefficient caused by band convergence due to Mg alloying, the maximum zTmax reaches ~1.02 and the device zTdevice of ~0.50 at 773K for Sn0.79Sb0.15Mg0.06Te, suggesting this SnTe-based composition has a promising potential in intermediate temperature thermoelectric applications.Tiezheng Fu Jiazhan Xin Tiejun Zhu Jiajun Shen Teng Fang Xinbing Zhao 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,14:5
3Study on risk factors of extrapyramidal symptoms induced by antipsychotics and its correlation with symptoms of schizophrenia显示文摘Background Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) are one of the most common and neglected side effects during the treatment of schizophrenia. The risk factors of EPS in Chinese patients with schizophrenia and its relationship with psychiatric symptoms and mood symptoms of schizophrenia remain unknown. Aims The main objective of this study is to explore the risk factors of EPS caused by antipsychotics and the relationship between EPS and psychotic symptoms and mood symptoms of schizophrenia. Method This study included 679 patients with schizophrenia who have met the diagnostic criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders- Fourth Edition. Patients were divided into the EPS group and the non-EPS group according to the scale rating criteria and whether the anticholinergics have been used. The differences between demographic data and characters of drug intake were compared between the two groups, and the risk factors of EPS were selected between those factors. Correlation analysis was performed on the severity of schizophrenia (Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale (PANSS), Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia (CDSS) score) and EPS scale (Simpson-Angus Scale (SAS), Barnes Akathisia Rating Scale (BARS), Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) score) in 679 patients. The differences between the PANSS subscale score and the CDSS score between the EPS grong and the non-EPS group were compared. Result Compared with the non-EPS group, the EPS group patients are older, and they have a longer duration since first prescribed antipsychotics. The EPS group patients have higher frequency of atypical antipsychotics polytherapy and typical and atypical antipsychotics polytherapy or combined treatments with mood stabilisers. Logistic regression analysis shows that antipsychotics with high D2 receptor antagonistic effect and illness duration are the risk factors of EPS. The SAS score was significantly correlated with PANSS negative score, PANSS general psychopathological score and PANSS total score. The BARS scale score was significantly correlated with PANSS positive score, PANSS general psychopathological score, PANSS total score and CDSS total score. The AIMS scale score was significantly correlated with PANSS negative score. 7NES1/KLK10 and hNIS gene therapy enhanced iodine-131 internal radiation in PC3 proliferation inhibition显示文摘NES1 gene is thought to be a tumor-suppressor gene.Our previous study found that overexpression of NES1 gene in PC3 cell line could slow down the tumor proliferation rate,associated with a mild decrease in BCL-2 expression.The BCL-2 decrease could increase the sensitivity of radiotherapy to tumors.Thus,we supposed to have an“enhanced firepower”effect by combining overexpressed NES1 gene therapy and 131I radiation therapy uptake by overexpressed hNIS protein.We found a weak endogenous expression of hNIS protein in PC3 cells and demonstrated that the low expression of hNIS protein in PC3 cells might be the reason for the low iodine uptake.By overexpressing hNIS in PC3,the radioactive iodine uptake ability was significantly increased.Results of in vitro and in vivo tumor proliferation experiments and 18F-fluorothymidine(18F-FLT)micro-positron emission tomography/computed tomography(micro-PET/CT)imaging showed that the combined NES1 gene therapy and 131I radiation therapy mediated by overexpressed hNIS protein had the best tumor proliferative inhibition effect.Immunohistochemistry showed an obvious decrease of Ki-67 expression and the lowest BCL-2 expression.These data suggest that via inhibition of BCL-2 expression,overexpressed NES1 might enhance the effect of radiation therapy of 131I uptake in hNIS overexpressed PC3 cells.Jiajia Hu Wenbin Shen Qian Qu Xiaochun Fei Ying Miao Xinyun Huang Jiajun Liu Yingli Wu Biao Li 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,6:1

10Crosslinking and functionalization of acellular patches via the self-assembly of copper@tea polyphenol nanoparticles显示文摘Decellularization is a promising technique to produce natural scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.However,non-crosslinked natural scaffolds disfavor application in cardiovascular surgery due to poor biomechanics and rapid degradation.Herein,we proposed a green strategy to crosslink and functionalize acellular scaffolds via the self-assembly of copper@tea polyphenol nanoparticles(Cu@TP NPs),and the resultant nanocomposite acellular scaffolds were named as Cu@TP-dBPs.The crosslinking degree,biomechanics,denaturation temperature and resistance to enzymatic degradation of Cu@TP-dBPs were comparable to those of glutaraldehyde crosslinked decellularized bovine pericardias(Glut-dBPs).Furthermore,Cu@TP-dBPs were biocompatible and had abilities to inhibit bacterial growth and promote the formation of capillary-like networks.Subcutaneous implantation models demonstrated that Cu@TP-dBPs were free of calcification and allowed for host cell infiltration at Day 21.Cardiac patch graft models confirmed that Cu@TP-dBP patches showed improved ingrowth of functional blood vessels and remodeling of extracellular matrix at Day 60.These results suggested that Cu@TP-dBPs not only had comparable biomechanics and biostability to Glut-dBPs,but also had several advantages over Glut-dBPs in terms of anticalcification,remodeling and integration capabilities.Particularly,they were functional patches possessing antibacterial and proangiogenic activities.Thesematerial properties and biological functionsmade Cu@TP-dBPs a promising functional acellular patch for cardiovascular applications.Qin Li Yuan Gao Jiajun Zhang Yangfeng Tang Yangyong Sun Lujia Wu Hao Wu Meifang Shen Xiaohong Liu Lin Han Zhiyun Xu 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:1

12Achieving robust nitritation in a modified continuous-flow reactor: From micro-granule cultivation to nitrite-oxidizing bacteria elimination显示文摘In this study,a modified continuous-flow nitrifying reactor was successfully operated for rapid cultivation of micro-granules and achieving robust nitritation.Results showed that sludge granulation with mean size of ca.100μm was achieved within three weeks by gradually increasing settling velocity-based selection pressure from 0.48 to 0.9 m/hr.Though Nitrospira like nitrite-oxidizing bacteria(NOB)were enriched in the micro-granules with a ratio between ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)and NOB of 5.7%/6.5% on day 21,fast nitritation was achieved within one-week by gradually increasing of influent ammonium concentration(from 50 to 200 mg/L).Maintaining ammonium in-excess was the key for repressing NOB in the micro-granules.Interestingly,when the influent ammonium concentration switched back to 50 mg/L still with the residual ammonium of 15–25 mg/L,the nitrite accumulation efficiency increased from 90%to 98%.Experimental results suggested that the NOB repression was intensified by both oxygen and nitrite unavailability in the inner layers of micro-granules.Unexpectedly,continuous operation with ammonium in excess resulted in overproduction of extracellular polysaccharides and overgrowth of some bacteria(e.g.,Nitrosomonas,Arenimonas,and Flavobacterium),which deteriorated the micro-granule stability and drove the micro-granules aggregation into larger ones with irregular morphology.However,efficient nitritation was stably maintained with extremely high ammonium oxidation potential(>50 mg/g VSS/hr)and nearly complete washout of NOB was obtained.This suggested that smooth and spherical granule was not a prerequisite for achieving NOB wash-out and maintaining effective nitritation in the granular reactor.Overall,the microgranules exhibited a great practical potential for high-rate nitritation.Wenru Liu Jiajun Song Jianfang Wang Xiaoming Ji Yaoliang Shen Dianhai Yang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:1
13Thermally conductive poly(lactic acid)/boron nitride composites via regenerated cellulose assisted Pickering emulsion approach显示文摘Polymer-based thermally conductive composites have attracted tremendous interest in thermal management of electronics.However,it remains challenging to achieve high thermal conductivity partly because the difficulty to obtain favorable distribution and orientation of conductive fillers within the polymer matrix.Herein,networked boron nitride(BN)conductive pathway was realized within the poly(lactic acid)(PLA)matrix,via regenerated cellulose(RC)-assisted assembly of BN on Pickering emulsion interface based on the noncovalent interaction,followed by solvent evaporation and hot-compressing.The strong noncovalent interactions between BN and RC were found critical to enhance the wettability and stability of BN in aqueous media with a lowest mass ratio of 1:40 of RC and BN.The obtained PLA/BN composites feature a thermal conductivity of 1.06 W/(m K)at 28.4 wt%BN loading,representing an enhancement of 430%comparing to neat PLA,and the crystallinity of the composites could increase significantly from11.7%(neat PLA)to 43.7%.This simple,environmentally friendly and effective strategy could be easily extended for effective construction of thermally conductive composites.Yating Wang Hong Jin Jiajun Shen Bijia Wang Xueling Feng Zhiping Mao Yumei Zhang Xiaofeng Sui 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,6:1

15Causative fault and seismogenic mechanism of the 2010 Suining M5.0 earthquake from joint modeling of seismic and InSAR data显示文摘Although the Sichuan basin is a stable block with low historical seismicity,the Suining M5.0 earthquake on January31,2010 occurred near the center of the basin,causing casualty and substantial damage.Previous studies have shown that the earthquake is very shallow and may occur in the sedimentary cover rocks,but its causative fault has not been identified.Based on local broadband seismic waveform data as well as a pair of ALOS PALSAR ascending orbit data,we explore the seismogenic mechanism via further constraining the source depth and the ruptured fault.The earthquake caused ground uplift in the southeast of the epicenter area,with a maximum line of sight displacement of about 13.6 cm,much larger than the displacement caused by a M5 earthquake at a typical depth of 10 km,which indicates that the earthquake is very shallow.Through joint inversion of seismic waveform and InSAR data,we obtain the moment magnitude of Suining earthquake as MW4.5,with the strike,dip,and rake of its fault plane as 17°,66° and 90°,respectively,and the centroid depth less than 1 km,supporting that the earthquake occurred at the shallow part of a high angle thrust fault dipping to the southeast.It is further confirmed that the earthquake may be triggered by the diffusion of high-pressure fluid migrating from the underside gas reservoir.Wangwang GU Sidao NI Shuofan WANG Baolong ZHANG Xinglin LEI Risheng CHU Aizhi GUO Qiang SHEN Hansheng WANG Liming JIANG Minhan SHENG Jiajun CHONG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,8:0

17How variable progenitor clones construct a largely invariant neocortex显示文摘The neocortex contains a vast collection of diverse neurons organized into distinct layers. While nearly all neocortical neurons are generated by radial glial progenitors(RGPs), it remains largely unclear how a complex yet organized neocortex is constructed reliably and robustly. Here, we show that the division behavior and neuronal output of RGPs are highly constrained with patterned variabilities to support the reliable and robust construction of the mouse neocortex. The neurogenic process of RGPs can be well-approximated by a consistent Poisson-like process unfolding over time, producing deep to superficial layer neurons progressively. The exact neuronal outputs regarding layer occupation are variable;yet, this variability is constrained systematically to support all layer formation, largely reflecting the variable intermediate progenitor generation and RGP neurogenic entry and exit timing differences. 18Therapeutic Effect of Intragastric Administration of Jiangtang Shuxin Recipe Suspension on Diabetic Heart Failure in Rats and Its Mechanism显示文摘[Objectives]To observe the therapeutic effect of intragastric administration of Jiangtang Shuxin recipe on diabetic heart failure(DHF)in rats and to explore its mechanism.[Methods]Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into five groups,with 10 rats in each group.DHF models were prepared in the low-dose group,high-dose group,Western medicine group,and model group except the control group.Rats in the low-dose and high-dose groups were given 1.0 and 1.5 g/(kg·d)Jiangtang Shuxin recipe suspension by gavage,respectively.Rats in the Western medicine group were given gliquidone and benazepril by gavage for 2 months,and were fed with high-fat diet.Rats in the control group were fed with ordinary diet.Fasting blood glucose(FBG),serum triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),pathological morphology of myocardial tissue,NF-κB p65 protein and IκBαprotein were compared among groups.[Results]Compared with the control group,the levels of FBG,serum TG,LDL-C,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α,CK-MB and LDH increased,while the level of serum HDL-C decreased.The myocardial tissue was seriously damaged,and the expression of NF-κB p65 protein increased,while the expression of IκBαprotein decreased in the other four gruops(all P<0.05).Compared with the model group,the levels of FBG,serum TG,LDL-C,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α,CK-MB and LDH decreased,while the serum HDL-C level increased.The myocardial tissue damage was alleviated,and the expression of NF-κB p65 protein decreased,while the expression of IκBαprotein increased in the low-dose group,high-dose group and Western medicine group(all P<0.05).Compared with the Western medicine group,the levels of FBG,serum TG,LDL-C,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α,CK-MB and LDH decreased,and the level of serum HDL-C increased in the high-dose group(all P<0.05).[Conclusions]Jiangtang Shuxin recipe has a therapeutic effect on DHF in rats,with the best effect in the high-dose group.It can not only alleviate high glucose and high fat state,but also reduce myocardial injury and inflammation,and improve the pathological morphology of myocardial cells.The mechanism may be related to its inhibition of NF-кB signaling pathway.Xiaofeng JIANG Jiajun CHEN Guangming HUANG Yaya SHEN Xianzhao FU 2024Medicinal Plant2024,15,2:0
19Giant magneto field effect in up-conversion amplified spontaneous emission via spatially extended states in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites显示文摘Up-conversion lasing actions are normally difficult to realize in light-emitting materials due to small multi-photon absorp-tion cross section and fast dephasing of excited states during multi-photon excitation.This paper reports an easily ac-cessible up-conversion amplified spontaneous emission(ASE)in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(MAPbBr3)films by optically exciting broad gap states with sub-bandgap laser excitation.The broad absorption was optimized by adjust-ing the grain sizes in the MAPbBr3 films.At low sub-bandgap pumping intensities,directly exciting the gap states leads to 2-photon,3-photon,and 4-photon up-conversion spontaneous emission,revealing a large optical cross section of multi-photon excitation occurring in such hybrid perovskite films.At moderate pumping intensity(1.19 mJ/cm2)of 700 nm laser excitation,a significant spectral narrowing phenomenon was observed with the full width at half maximum(FWHM)de-creasing from 18 nm to 4 nm at the peak wavelength of 550 nm,simultaneously with a nonlinear increase on spectral peak intensity,showing an up-conversion ASE realized at low threshold pumping fluence.More interestingly,the up-con-version ASE demonstrated a giant magnetic field effect,leading to a magneto-ASE reaching 120%.In contrast,the up-conversion photoluminescence(PL)showed a negligible magnetic field effect(<1%).This observation provides an evid-ence to indicate that the light-emitting states responsible for up-conversion ASE are essentially formed as spatially exten-ded states.The angular dependent spectrum results further verify the existence of spatially extended states which are polarized to develop coherent in-phase interaction.Clearly,using broad gap states with spatially extended light-emitting states presents a new approach to develop up-conversion ASE in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites.Tangyao Shen Jiajun Qin Yujie Bai Jia Zhang Lei Shi Xiaoyuan Hou Jian Zi Bin Hu 2022Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,2:0
20Surface Passivation of Perovskite Solar Cells Toward Improved Efficiency and Stability显示文摘The advancement of perovskite solar cells(PVSCs)technology toward commercialized promotion needs high efficiency and optimum stability.By introducing a small molecular material such as tetratetracontane(TTC,CH3(CH2)42CH3)at the fullerene(C60)/perovskite interface of planar p-i-n PVSCs,we significantly reduced the interfacial traps,thereby suppressing electron recombination and facilitating electron extraction.Consequently,an improved efficiency of 20.05% was achieved with a high fill factor of 79.4%,which is one of the best performances for small molecular-modified PVSCs.Moreover,the hydrophobic TTC successfully protects the perovskite film from water damage.As a result,we realized a better long-term stability that maintains 87% of the initial efficiency after continuous exposure for 200 h in air.Zhiqi Li Jiajun Dong Chunyu Liu Jiaxin Guo Liang Shen Wenbin Guo 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,3:0
