1Regional assessment of cadmium pollution in agricultural lands and the potential health risk related to intensive mining activities: A case study in Chenzhou City, China显示文摘The purpose of this study was to assess the extent of cadmium (Cd) contamination in agricultural soil and its potential risk for people. Soils, rice, and vegetables from Chenzhou City, Southern China were sampled and analyzed. In the surface soils, the 95% confidence interval for the mean concentration of Cd varied between 2.72 and 4.83 mg/kg (P < 0.05) in the survey, with a geometric mean concentration of 1.45 mg/kg. Based on the GIS map, two hot spot areas of Cd in agricultural soils with high Cd concentrations were identified to be located around the Shizhuyuan, Jinshiling, and Yaogangxian mines, and the Baoshan and Huangshaping mines, in the center of the city. About 60% of the total investigated area, where the agricultural soil Cd concentration is above 1 mg/kg, is distributed in a central belt across the region. The critical distances, at which the soil Cd concentration were increased by the mining activities, from the mines of the soils were 23 km for the Baoshan mine, 46 km for the Huangshaping mine, and 63 km for the Shizhuyuan mine, respectively. These are distances calculated from models. The Cd concentrations in rice samples ranged from 0.01 to 4.43 mg/kg and the mean dietary Cd intake from rice for an adult was 191 μg/d. 2Identification and fine mapping of quantitative trait loci for seed vigor in germination and seedling establishment in rice显示文摘Seed vigor is an index of seed quality that is used to describe the rapid and uniform germination and the establishment of strong seedlings in any environmental conditions.Strong seed vigor in low-temperature germination conditions is particularly important in direct-sowing rice production systems. However, seed vigor has not been selected as an important breeding trait in traditional breeding programs due to its quantitative inherence. In this study, we identified and mapped eight quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for seed vigor by using a recombinant inbred population from a cross between rice(Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica) cultivars ZS97 and MH63.Conditional QTL analysis identified qSV-1, qSV-5b, qSV-6a, qSV-6b, and qSV-11 influenced seedling establishment and that qSV-5a, qSV-5c, and qSV-8 influenced only germination. Of these,qSV-1, qSV-5b, qSV-6a, qSV-6b, and qSV-8 were low-temperature-specific QTLs. Two major-effective QTLs, qSV-1, and qSV-5c were narrowed down to 1.13-Mbp and 400-kbp genomic regions, respectively. 4Synthesis, insecticidal activities and SAR studies of novel anthranilic diamides containing trifluoroethoxyl substituent and chiral amino acid moieties显示文摘Ryanodine receptors(RyRs) activator has become one class of popular insecticide because of its unique mode of action. In order to find more new RyRs activators as insecticidal agents, a series of 18 novel chiral anthranilic diamides were designed by introducing the D-alanine acid and D-serine acid esters as well as trifluoroethoxyl group into the anthranilic diamide skeleton and synthesized successfully based on anthranilic diamide and FKI-1033 structures. The structures of the title compounds Ia–i and IIa–i were confirmed by melting points,~1H NMR,^(13)C NMR, elemental analysis and specific optical rotation analysis.The preliminary bioassay results indicated that most of the title compounds exhibited considerable larvicidal activities against oriental armyworm at 10 mg/L, especially Ib, Ie and IIh showed remarkable insecticidal activities at 0.5 mg/L. The larvicidal activity against diamondback moth of Ia and IId were 80%and 90% respectively at 0.0001 mg/L, which was similar to that of chlorantraniliprole. 5Anti-VEGF therapy prevents Müller intracellular edema by decreasing VEGF-A in diabetic retinopathy显示文摘Background:Although vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A)is known to play a key role in causing retinal edema,whether and how VEGF-A induces intracellular edema in the retina still remains unclear.Methods:Sprague-Dawley rats were rendered diabetic with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin.Intravitreal injection of ranibizumab was performed 8 weeks after diabetes onset.rMC-1 cells(rat Müller cell line)were treated with glyoxal for 24 h with or without ranibizumab.The expression levels of inwardly rectifying K^(+)channel 4.1(Kir4.1),aquaporin 4(AQP4),Dystrophin 71(Dp71),VEGF-A,glutamine synthetase(GS)and sodium-potassium-ATPase(Na^(+)-K^(+)-ATPase)were examined using Western blot.VEGF-A in the supernatant of the cell culture was detected with ELISA.The intracellular potassium and sodium levels were detected with specific indicators.Results:Compared with normal control,protein expressions of Kir4.1 and AQP4 were down-regulated significantly in diabetic rat retinas,which were prevented by ranibizumab.The above changes were recapitulated in vitro.Similarly,the intracellular potassium level in glyoxal-treated rMC-1 cells was increased,while the intracellular sodium level and Na^(+)-K^(+)-ATPase protein level remained unchanged,compared with control.However,ranibizumab treatment decreased intracellular sodium,but not potassium.Conclusion:Ranibizumab protected Müller cells from diabetic intracellular edema through the up-regulation of Kir4.1 and AQP4 by directly binding VEGF-A.It also caused a reduction in intracellular osmotic pressure.Tianqin Wang Chaoyang Zhang Hai Xie Mengmeng Jiang Haibin Tian Lixia Lu Guo-Tong Xu Lin Liu Jingfa Zhang 2021Eye and Vision2021,8,1:3
6Patch-Based Dark Channel Prior Dehazing for RS Multi-spectral Image显示文摘Remote sensing(RS) multi-spectral images are usually suffered from cloud and fog cover, which can lead to analysis troubles and application limitations. A novel patch-based dark channel prior dehaze method is proposed for solving this problem. An Atmospheric light(AL) curved surface hypothesis, instead of globally invariable plane, is applied to describe AL distribution, and a patch-based approach is given to estimate curved surface.By using AL curved surface estimation, a new recovering model for RS multi-spectral images is given to obtain dehaze-free images. 9Design, Synthesis, Biological Evaluation and SARs of Novel Anthranilic Diamides Derivatives Containing Amide, Carbamate, Urea, and Thiourea Moieties显示文摘In order to discover potential ryanodine receptor insecticides, 21 novel anthranilic diamides analogues (C, D, E,and F) containing amide, carbamate, urea, and thiourea moieties were designed and synthesized based on bioiso-steric approach. The biological assays against oriental armyworm (Mythirnna separata) and diamondback moth(Plutella xylostella) indicated that these compounds displayed moderate to excellent activities. Especially, com-pound D1 showed 100% larvicidal activities against oriental armyworm at 1.0 mg.L^-1, equivalent to the standardchlorantraniliprole (100%, 1.0 mg·L^-1). Moreover, the larvicidal activity of D1 against diamondback moth was100% at 0.1 mg·L^-1, more effective than that of chlorantraniliprole (90%, 0.1 mg·L^-1). Therefore, D1 can be used asa new lead structure for the development of insecticidal agents. 11Facile synthesis of Li2S@C composites as cathode for Li–S batteries显示文摘Lithium sulfide (Li2S) provides a promising route for lithium storage due to high theoretical specific capacity (1166 mAh g-1). The electrochemical performance of Li2S can be significantly enhanced by forming Li2S-carbon composites with the introduction of carbon. However, the complex synthesis method of Li2S-carbon composites restrains the large-scale productivity. Herein, we propose a facile route to prepare carbon coated Li2S-carbon nanotube composites (Li2S@C-CNT) via spray drying and heat treatment, which is a low-cost and large-scale method for facile synthesis of Li2S-carbon composites. For the Li2S@C-CNT composites, Li2S nanoparticles are contacted with surrounding particles due to the 3D CNTs framework. The novel construction not only suppresses the diffusion of polysulfides during cycling, but also remarkably accelerates the transport of electron and ion, resulting in a high specific capacity (1100 mAh g^-1) and good cycling performance.
