1Collagen-binding basic fibroblast growth factor improves functional remodeling of scarred endometrium in uterine infertile women: a pilot study显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion(IUA) is a common cause of uterine infertility and one of the most severe clinical features is endometrial fibrosis namely endometrial scarring for which there are few cures currently. Blocked angiogenesis is the main pathological change in the scarred endometrium. The fibroblast growth factor 2(b FGF), a member of FGF family, is usually applied to promote healing of refractory ulcer and contributes to angiogenesis of tissues. In this study, the sustained-release system of b FGF100 μg was administrated around scarred endometrium guiding by ultrasound every 4 weeks in 18 patients(2–4 times). Results showed that after treatment, the menstrual blood volume, endometrial thickness and the scarred endometrial area were improved.Histological study showed blood vessel density increased obviously. Three patients(3/18) achieved pregnancy over 20 gestational weeks. 3Arabidopsis F-box gene FOA1 involved in ABA signaling显示文摘The expression of FOA1(F-box overexpressed/oppressed ABA signaling) in different organs of Arabidopsis,and in response to ABA and NaCl,was analyzed.The expression level of FOA1 is higher in the root and is lower in the stem,and is induced rapidly by ABA and NaCl.The phenotypes of T-DNA insertion mutant foa1 and FOA1 overexpression lines FOA1ox1 and FOA1ox2 were analyzed.The foa1 mutant exhibited a lower germination rate,shorter root length,more stomatal opening,increased proline accumulation and hypersensitivity to ABA compared with the wild type.In contrast,the overexpression lines showed lower sensitivity to ABA than the wild type.The expression levels of several ABA and stress-responsive transcription factors and genes were altered in the foa1 mutant in response to ABA.Compared with the wild type,the expression levels of ABA-responsive transcription factors were higher,but ABA and stress-responsive genes were lower in foa1 mutant.This study demonstrates that FOA1 is an ABA signaling-related gene,and may play a negative role in ABA signaling.PENG Juan YU DaShi WANG LiQun XIE MinMin YUAN CongYing WANG Yu TANG DongYing ZHAO XiaoYing LIU XuanMing 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,6:12
4Urban expansion in China and its effect on cultivated land before and after initiating'Reform and Open Policy'显示文摘Urbanization in China has expanded at an unprecedented speed since the declaration of 'Reform and Open Policy'and presented many challenges. Unbalanced regional development, appearance of super megacities and concomitant problems,and conflicts between urbanization and cultivated land protection are three critical problems that Chinese urbanization has to face. To develop new plans for foreseeable future urbanization in China, it is critical to understand the evolving history of cities across China. This study maps urban expansion of 60 typical Chinese cities based on large amount of remote sensing data and the labor-intensive image interpretation method, in order to understand the history of urban expansion from the 1970 s to 2013.Results showed that area of cities expanded 5.23 times compared to their area in the 1970 s. Urban expansion in China accelerated three times(1988–1996, 1999–2006, and 2009–2011) and decelerated three times(1997–1998, 2007–2008, and 2012–2013) over the 40 years. The urban area of South China expanded most significantly 9.42 times, while the urban area in Northeast China expanded only 2.37 times. The disparity among different administrative ranks of cities was even greater than(3.81 times) the differences among different regions. Super megacities have been continuously expanding at a fast rate(8.60-fold), and have not shown obvious signs of slowing down. The proportion of cultivated land among the land sources for urban expansion decreased to a small extent in the 1990 s, but cultivated land continues to be the major land source for urban expansion. 5LORELEI-LIKE GPI-ANCHORED PROTEINS 2/3 Regulate Pollen Tube Growth as Chaperones and Coreceptors for ANXUR/BUPS Receptor Kinases in Arabidopsis显示文摘Pollen tube growth is crucial for successful fertilization.In Arabidopsis thaliana,the ANXUR(ANX)/BUPS receptor kinase complex controls and maintains pollen tube growth in response to autocrine rapid alkalin-ization factor 4/19(RALF4/19)signaling;however,the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the ANX/BUPS-mediated regulation of pollen tube growth remain unclear.In this study,we found that pollen-specific LORELEI-like GPI-anchored proteins 2 and 3(LLG2/3)promote pollen tube growth in vitro and in vivo.LLG2/3 interacte with ANX/BUPS in a RALF4-concentration-dependent manner,suggesting that ANX/BUPS and LLG2/3 might form a receptor-coreceptor complex for perceiving RALF peptide signals.Disruption of the ANX/BUPS-LLG2/3 interaction led to the cytoplasmic retention of ANX1/2,in either llg2/3 knockdown mutants or in anx1/2 mutants lacking the J region,which mediates the ANX/BUPS-LLG2/3 interaction.Moreover,we found that RALF4 induced the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which stimulate pollen tube growth and reduce pollen burst rate.ROS levels are reduced in the pollen tubes of LLG2/3 RNAi lines,and application of exogenous H2O2 could partially rescue the defective pollen tube growth of LLG2/3 RNAi lines.Taken together,our study identifies LLG2/3 as novel regulatory components of pollen tube growth,and shows that they chaperone ANX/BUPS for secretion to the apical plasma membrane of pollen tube and act as coreceptors of ANX/BUPS in the acti-vation of ROS production for promoting pollen tube growth.Hanqian Feng Chen Liu Rong Fu Minmin Zhang Hui Li Lianping Shen Qiqi Wei Xiang Sun Lin Xu Bin Ni Chao Li 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,12:10

7The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 8Spatiotemporal evolution of prehistoric Neolithic-Bronze Age settlements and influencing factors in the Guanting Basin, northeast Tibetan Plateau显示文摘For almost two decades, the relationship between prehistoric natural disasters that struck the Guanting Basin in northeast Tibetan Plateau and the destruction of Lajia, an archeological site, has attracted scholarly attention and been widely discussed. Whereas most studies have focused on the impacts of disasters on a single site within the Guanting Basin, few have examined patterns of spatiotemporal evolution of human settlements from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age. Consequently, there is a lack of clarity on the processes and mechanisms underlying the evolution of prehistoric human-land relationships in the Guanting Basin. We therefore examined spatiotemporal variations in settlements in the Guanting Basin during the period, based on the locations, altitudes, and areas of archaeological sites. We found that four sites were located on the third terrace of the Yellow River during the late Yangshao period(5500–5000 cal yr BP) and distributed within a small area. During the period between the Majiayao and Qijia cultures(5300–3600 cal yr BP), the number of sites evidently increased and the scale and distribution of settlements expanded, with settlements generally shifting toward the lower elevation areas of the Guanting Basin.During the Xindian period(3400–2700 cal yr BP), the number and scale of sites showed a downward trend and the distribution of settlements contracted. The Xindian settlement underwent altitude-based spatial differentiation, with some groups moving to areas at higher altitudes and others remained in lower altitude areas. Moreover, we found that the number, scale, and distribution range of Neolithic and Bronze Age sites in the Guanting Basin were closely related to the evolution and distribution patterns of prehistoric cultures in the regions of Gansu and Qinghai, which were further affected by climate change and agricultural development. 9Biochemistry of mammalian ferritins in the regulation of cellular iron homeostasis and oxidative responses显示文摘Ferritin,an iron-storage protein,regulates cellular iron metabolism and oxidative stress.The ferritin structure is characterized as a spherical cage,inside which large amounts of iron are deposited in a safe,compact and bioavailable form.All ferritins readily catalyze Fe(II)oxidation by peroxides at the ferroxidase center to prevent free Fe(II)from participating in oxygen free radical formation via Fenton chemistry.Thus,ferritin is generally recognized as a cytoprotective stratagem against intracellular oxidative damage.The expression of cytosolic ferritins is usually regulated by iron status and oxidative stress at both the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels.The mechanism of ferritin-mediated iron recycling is far from clarified,though nuclear receptor co-activator 4(NCOA4)was recently identified as a cargo receptor for ferritin-based lysosomal degradation.Cytosolic ferritins are heteropolymers assembled by H-and L-chains in different proportions.The mitochondrial ferritins are homopolymers and distributed in restricted tissues.They play protective roles in mitochondria where heme-and Fe/S-enzymes are synthesized and high levels of ROS are produced.Genetic ferritin disorders are mainly related to the L-chain mutations,which generally cause severe movement diseases.This review is focused on the biochemistry and function of mammalian intracellular ferritin as the major iron-storage and anti-oxidation protein.Jianlin Zhang Xuehui Chen Juanji Hong Aifa Tang Yang Liu Ni Xie Guohui Nie Xiyun Yan Minmin Liang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,3:5
10Extraction of Basic Trends of Urban Expansion in China over Past 40 Years from Satellite Images显示文摘If urban sprawl is to be avoided in China in the next ten years, it is not only crucial to understand the overall history, current status, and future trends of urban expansion there, but also these differences, and this is presently lacking. In this study, remotely sensed images with approximately 30 m spatial resolution were used to quantitatively assess the spatial and temporal patterns of urban expansion of 60 Chinese cities(1973–2013). Urban-expansion-process curves of the cities studied were drawn using annual expansion area as an indicator. Curve similarity analysis generated four basic process modes of urban expansion in China. These included cities that: 1) peaked around 2004 and then decelerated; 2) peaked around 2010 and then decelerated; 3) showed sustained acceleration, and 4) showed continued deceleration. Four basic process modes represented cities under different levels of development stage. Geographic location was found to be the most related characteristic to urban expansion process. Regional development policies at the national level in each region also showed highly temporal consistency with fluctuation characteristics of urban expansion process. Urban characteristic such as population size and administrative level were not found to be significantly related to urban expansion-process modes. 11Tetrahydroisoquinolines as novel histone deacetylase inhibitors for treatment of cancer显示文摘Histone acetylation is a critical process in the regulation of chromatin structure and gene expression.Histone deacetylases(HDACs)remove the acetyl group,leading to chromatin condensation and transcriptional repression.HDAC inhibitors are considered a new class of anticancer agents and have been shown to alter gene transcription and exert antitumor effects.This paper describes our work on the structural determination and structure-activity relationship(SAR)optimization of tetrahydroisoquinoline compounds as HDAC inhibitors.These compounds were tested for their ability to inhibit HDAC 1,3,6 and for their ability to inhibit the proliferation of a panel of cancer cell lines.Among these,compound 82 showed the greatest inhibitory activity toward HDAC 1,3,6 and strongly inhibited growth of the cancer cell lines,with results clearly superior to those of the reference compound,vorinostat(SAHA).Compound 82 increased the acetylation of histones H3,H4 and tubulin in a concentration-dependent manner,suggesting that it is a broad inhibitor of HDACs.Danqi Chen Aijun Shen Guanghua Fang Hongchun Liu Minmin Zhang Shuai Tang Bing Xiong Lanping Ma Meiyu Geng Jingkang Shen 2016Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,1:4

14Mixed matrix membrane containing metal oxide nanosheets for efficient CO_(2)separation显示文摘The two-dimensional(2D)nanosheet zinc cobaltate(ZnCo_(2)O_(4))was added into polyether block amide(Pebax)matrix to prepare mixing matrix membrane(MMM)for separating carbon dioxide(CO_(2))/methane(CH4)gas mixture.The 2D porous ZnCo_(2)O_(4)nanosheets were composed of chemically interconnected metal oxide nanoparticles.The ZnCo_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles in the nanosheets constructed large-quantity pores of 11.78 nm and provided abundant transfer channels for gas molecule.Moreover,the synergistic effect of bimetallic Zn^(2+)and Co^(2+)would promote the generation of oxygen vacancies(Oδ-),which could provide more CO_(2)(Cδ+)adsorption sites,thereby increased the selectivity of the membrane.The large aspect ratio of the ultra-thin ZnCo_(2)O_(4)nanosheets showed better dispersion in the membrane.The pure gas separation performance data showed the CO_(2)permeability and CO_(2)/CH4 selectivity of Pebax/ZnCo_(2)O_(4)membrane were 139.10 Barrer and 15.38,respectively,when the filling amount was 0.5 wt%.Compared with pure Pebax membrane,the separation performance(permeability and selectivity)were increased with 165.67%and 75.57%,respectively.Weifang Zhu Fu Liu Minmin Gou Ruili Guo Xueqin Li 2021Green Chemical Engineering2021,2,1:2
15SbMYB3 transcription factor promotes root-specific f lavone biosynthesis in Scutellaria baicalensis显示文摘Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi produces abundant root-specific f lavones(RSFs),which provide various benefits to human health.We have elucidated the complete biosynthetic pathways of baicalein and wogonin.However,the transcriptional regulation of f lavone biosynthesis in S.baicalensis remains unclear.We show that the SbMYB3 transcription factor functions as a transcriptional activator involved in the biosynthesis of RSFs in S.baicalensis.Yeast one-hybrid and transcriptional activation assays showed that SbMYB3 binds to the promoter of flavone synthase II-2(SbFNSII-2)and enhances its transcription.In S.baicalensis hairy roots,RNAi of SbMYB3 reduced the accumulation of baicalin and wogonoside,and SbMYB3 knockout decreased the biosynthesis of baicalein,baicalin,wogonin,and wogonoside,whereas SbMYB3 overexpression enhanced the contents of baicalein,baicalin,wogonin,and wogonoside.Transcript profiling by qRT–PCR demonstrated that SbMYB3 activates SbFNSII-2 expression directly,thus leading to more abundant accumulation of RSFs.This study provides a potential target for metabolic engineering of RSFs.Yumin Fang Jie Liu Minmin Zheng Sanming Zhu Tianlin Pei Mengying Cui Lijing Chang Hanwen Xiao Jun Yang Cathie Martin Qing Zhao 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:2

18A Method for Software Vulnerability Detection Based on Improved Control Flow Graph显示文摘With the rapid development of software technology, software vulnerability has become a major threat to computer security. The timely detection and repair of potential vulnerabilities in software, are of great significance in reducing system crashes and maintaining system security and integrity. This paper focuses on detecting three common types of vulnerabilities: Unused_Variable, Use_of_Uninitialized_Variable, and Use_After_ Free. We propose a method for software vulnerability detection based on an improved control flow graph(ICFG) and several predicates of vulnerability properties for each type of vulnerability. We also define a set of grammar rules for analyzing and deriving the three mentioned types of vulnerabilities, and design three vulnerability detection algorithms to guide the process of vulnerability detection. In addition, we conduct cases studies of the three mentioned types of vulnerabilities with real vulnerability program segments from Common Weakness Enumeration(CWE). The results of the studies show that the proposed method can detect the vulnerability in the tested program segments. Finally, we conduct manual analysis and experiments on detecting the three types of vulnerability program segments(30 examples for each type) from CWE, to compare the vulnerability detection effectiveness of the proposed method with that of the existing detection tool Cpp Check. The results show that the proposed method performs better. 19Study on properties of ultra-low dielectric loss mPPO/MTCLT composites prepared by injection molding显示文摘A novel category of polyphenylene oxide/high-impact polystyrene(PPO/HIPS)alloy was used as the polymer matrix(abbreviated as mPPO)and loaded with different volume fractions(0,10,20,30,40,50 vol.%)of MgTiO_(3)-Ca_(0.7)La_(0.2)TiO_(3)(abbreviated as MTCLT)ceramics to prepare composites by injection molding.Its micromorphology,density,dielectric,thermal and mechanical properties were analyzed in detail.The experimental results show that the composites possess a compact microstructure because HIPS increases the fluidity of PPO.Due to the excellent dielectric properties of both mPPO and MTCLT,the composites have an extremely low dielectric loss.The realization of the high ceramic filler fraction greatly limits the thermal expansion of the polymer chain by introducing the interphase,so that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the composite material could be as low as 21.8 ppm/°C.At the same time,the presence of ceramic particles could reinforce the mechanical property of the compos-ites.When the ceramic filler fraction is higher than 20 vol.%,the bending strength of the composite material is around 110 MPa.When the ceramic filler fraction is 40 vol.%,the composite possesses the best comprehensive performance.The dielectric constant is 6.81,the dielectric loss is 0.00104,the thermal expansion coefficient is as low as 25.3 ppm/°C,and the bending strength is 110.4 MPa.Due to its excellent properties,this material can be a good candidate in the field of microwave communication.Yahan Liu Haiyi Peng Xiaogang Yao Minmin Mao Kaixin Song Huixing Lin 2022Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2022,12,3:1
