1Mitochondrial DNA variation analysis suggests extreme low genetic diversity in Guizhou snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus brelichi)显示文摘Guizhou snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus brelichi) is a unique, endangered primate in China, mainly distributed in Fanjing Mountain National Natural Reserve, Guizhou Province, in an area of 275 km2. Recently, habitat loss and fragmentation have caused population isolation. To assess genetic diversity within this species and its population structure, we sequenced 400 bp of the hypervariable I segment from the mitochondrial DNA control region for 128 individuals. Only one haplotype was identified from these individuals. 2Increased serum IL-10 in lupus patients promotes apoptosis of T cell subsets via the caspase 8 pathway initiated by Fas signaling显示文摘We sought to investigate the expression of Fas and FasL on T cell surface and caspase 8 involvement in T cell apoptosis promoted by serum IL-10 in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) patients.Cells and sera were obtained from 35 SLE patients.Apoptosis of T cells in patients with SLE was increased and associated with the SLE disease activity index(SLEDAI).Elevated expression of Fas and FasL on T cell surface contributed to increased apoptosis of T cells.Increased IL-10 in the sera of SLE patients was capable of inducing Fas and FasL expression on CD4^+T cell surface,promoting apoptosis of this cell subset.Decreased IL-10 serum levels and low expression of Fas were found in 5 patients of the first follow-up group after 2-month treatment.In another group with one-year treatment,the SLEDAI declined to inactive scores.Serum IL-10 was decreased significantly,and expression of Fas and FasL on T cells was also reduced.Declined apoptosis was predominant only in CD4^+T cell subset.When sera with high level of IL-10 were used to culture PBMCs from healthy controls,activated caspase 8 was elevated in CD3^+T,CD4^+T and CD8^+T cells.The study showed that serum IL-10 induced apoptosis of T cell subsets via the caspase8 pathway initiated by Fas signaling.Increased apoptosis of T cells contributes to autoantigen burden,which is pathogenic in the development of SLE.Xiaofan Yang Bin Sun Huijuan Wang Cheng Yin Xiaole Wang Xiaohui Ji 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,3:9
3Highly Efficient Adsorption of Copper Ions by a PVP-Reduced Graphene Oxide Based On a New Adsorptions Mechanism显示文摘Polyvinylpyrrolidone-reduced graphene oxide was prepared by modified hummers method and was used as adsorbent for removing Cu ions from wastewater. The effects of contact time and ions concentration on adsorption capacity were examined. The maximum adsorption capacity of 1689 mg/g was observed at an initial p H value of 3.5 after agitating for 10 min. It was demonstrated that polyvinylpyrrolidone-reduced graphene oxide had a huge adsorption capacity for Cu ions, which was 10 times higher than maximal value reported in previous works. The adsorption mechanism was also discussed by density functional theory. It demonstrates that Cu ions are attracted to surface of reduced graphene oxide by C atoms in reduced graphene oxide modified by polyvinylpyrrolidone through physisorption processes, which may be responsible for the higher adsorption capacity. Our results suggest that polyvinylpyrrolidone-reduced graphene oxide is an effective adsorbent for removing Cu ions in wastewater. 5A new method of combined rock drilling显示文摘Based on the technologies of traditionally mechanical drilling and water jet,we propose a new method of abrasive water jet in combination with rock drilling,and establish a combined rock drilling system for the gas pre-drainage.This study chose the common sandstone and silicon limestone as the rock sample.A series of experiments were completed in the case of dry drilling,existing technology drilling,combined drilling with high pressure water jet and combined drilling with abrasive water jet,respectively.The drilling efficiency and performance were contrasted and analyzed in detail.The results indicate that it is better to choose the method of combined drilling with the high-pressure water jet for soft rocks.The method of combined drilling with abrasive water jet is feasible for the hard rock drilling and has higher drilling efficiency and performance.In this paper,compared with the existing technology,the drilling depth has increased by about 65%,the axial force and torque have reduced by about 14%and 17%,respectively,and the drill wear reduces obviously in the same conditions.Tang Jiren Lu Yiyu Ge Zhaolong Xia Binwei Sun Huijuan Du Peng 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1:5

7Antimicrobial effect of sodium houttuyfonate on Staphylococcus epidermidis and Candida albicans biofilms显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study antimicrobial effect of Sodium houttuyfonate(SH) on Staphylococcus epidermidis(SE) and Candida albicans(CA). METHODS: The prepared strain broths(OD600 =0.05) containing SE and CA were firstly used to test the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of SH, azithromycin(AZM) and fluconazole(FLU) by micro-dilution method. Then the biofilms of SE and CA were matured in 96-well plates, and co-cultured with SH, AZM and FLU for 1, 2 and 3 days to assess the antibiofilm efficacies of the agents with different concentrations by crystal violet staining method. At last, the treated biofilms of SE and CA by 2× MIC agents were observed by scanning electronic microscope. RESULTS: The MICs of SE and CA were 256 and 1024 μg/mL, respectively. After the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of medications, the suppressions of biofilm were about 60%(P<0.01), 76%(P=0.000) and 75%(P=0.000) by 2×MIC SH, the suppressions of biofilm were about 90%(P=0.000), 88%(P=0.000) and 90%(P=0.000) by 2×MIC SH, which could be testified by scanning electron microscope results. However, the inhibitions of biofilm attachment had no significant difference for SE by SH and azithromycin and CA by SH and fluconazole. 8Synthesis, DNA-binding and photocleavage studies of ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes [Ru(btz)_3]^(2+) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)_2]^(2+)显示文摘Two new ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes, [Ru(btz)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)2](ClO4)2 (2) (btz = 4,4′-bithi-azole, dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, ES-MS and X-ray crystallography. The DNA binding behaviors of two complexes have been studied by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that complex 1 binds to CT-DNA via an electrostatic mode, while complex 2 via an intercalative mode. Under irradiation at 365 nm, both complexes were found to promote the cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from supercoiled form Ⅰ to nicked form Ⅱ. 9Serum IL-10 from systemic lupus erythematosus patients suppresses the differentiation and function of monocyte-derived dendritic cells显示文摘The role played by cytokines,other than interferon(IFN)-α,in the differentiation and function of dendritic cells(DCs) in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),remains unclear.Serum interleukin-10(IL-10) levels are generally elevated in SLE patients,which might modulate the differentiation of DCs.In this study,DCs were induced from monocytes either by transendothelial trafficking or by culture with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) + IL-4 + tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α.Both systems were used to investigate the effects of elevated serum IL-10 level on DC differentiation in SLE patients.The results showed that monocyte-derived DCs induced by either SLE serum or exogenous IL-10 reduced the expression of human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-DR and CD80,decreased IL-12p40 level,and increased IL-10 level,and exhibited an impaired capacity to stimulate allogenic T-cell proliferation.These results indicate that serum IL-10 may be involved in the pathogenesis of SLE by modulating the differentiation and function of DCs.Zhida Sun Rong Zhang Huijuan Wang Pengtao Jiang Jiangquan Zhang Mingshun Zhang Lei Gu Xiaofan Yang Miaojia Zhang Xiaohui Ji 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,6:3
10Beach Morphology and Coastline Evolution in the Southern Bohai Strait显示文摘The beach studied in this paper spans a length of 51 km and is one of several long sandy beaches in the southern Bohai Strait. Due to the obstruction of islands in the northeast and the influence of the underwater topography, the wave environment in the offshore area is complex; beach types and sediment transport characteristics vary along different coasts. The coastlines extracted from six aerial photographs in different years were compared to demonstrate the evolving features. Seven typical beach profiles were selected to study the lateral beach variation characteristics. Continuous wind and wave observation data from Beihuangcheng ocean station during 2009 were employed for the hindcast of the local wave environment using a regional spectral wave model. Then the results of the wave hindcast were incorporated into the LITDRIFT model to compute the sediment transport rates and directions along the coasts and analyze the longshore sand movement. The results show that the coastline evolution of sand beaches in the southern Bohai Strait has spatial and temporal variations and the coast can be divided into four typical regions. Region(I), the north coast of Qimudao, is a slightly eroded and dissipative beach with a large sediment transport rate; Region(II), the southwest coast of Gangluan Port, is a slightly deposited and dissipative beach with moderate sediment transport rate; Region(III), in the central area, is a beach that is gradually transformed from a slightly eroded dissipative beach to a moderately or slightly strong eroded bar-trough beach from west to east with a relatively moderate sediment transport rate. Region(IV), on the east coast, is a strongly eroded and reflective beach with a weak sediment transport rate. The wave conditions exhibit an increasing trend from west to east in the offshore area. The distribution of the wave-induced current inside the wave breaking region and the littoral sediment transport in the nearshore region exhibit a gradual weakening tendency from west to east, which is opposite to the trend of the wave conditions outside the breaking region. The presence of submerged shoal(Dengzhou Shoal), deep trough(Dengzhou Channel), islands and irregular topography influnces the wave climate, beach types, wave-induced current features, littoral sediment transport trends and coastline evolution patterns in the southern Bohai Strait. 15Multiple Mild Stimulations Reduce Membrane Distribution of CX3CR1 Promoted by Annexin al in Microglia to Attenuate Excessive Dendritic Spine Pruning and Cognitive Deficits Caused by a Transient Ischemic Attack in Mice显示文摘A transient ischemic attack(TIA)can cause reversible and delayed impairment of cognition,but the specific mechanisms arestill unclear.Annexin al(ANXA1)is a phospholipid-binding protein.Here,we confirmed that cognition and hippocampal synapses were impaired in TIA-treated mice,and this could be rescued by multiple mild stimulations(MMS).TIA promoted the interaction of ANXAl and CX3CR1,increased the membrane distribution of CX3CR1 in microglila,and thus enhanced the CX3CR1 and CX3CL1 interaction.These phenomena induced by TIA could be reversed by MMS.Meanwhile,the CX3CR1 membrane distribution and CX3CR1-CX3CL1 interaction were upregulated in primary cultured microglia overexpressing ANXAl,and the spine density was significantly reduced in co-cultured microglia overexpressing ANXAl and neurons.Moreover,ANXAl overexpression in microglia abolished the protection of MMS after TIA.Collectively,our study provides a potential strategy for treating the delayed synaptic injury caused by TIA.Lu Zheng Yi Wang Bin Shao Huijuan Zhou Xing Li Cai Zhang Ning Sun Jing Shi 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,7:1

20Comparison of short period InAs/GaSb superlattices on GaSb and GaAs substrates显示文摘Type II superlattices (SLs) short period InAs(4ML)/GaSb(8ML) were grown by molecular-beam epitaxy on lattice-mismatched GaAs substrates and on GaSb substrates. A smooth GaSb epilayer was formed on GaAs substrates by inserting mulit-buffer layers including an interfacial misfit mode AlSb quantum dot layer and AlSb/GaSb superlattices smooth layer. SLs grown on GaAs substrates (GaAs-based SLs) showed well-resolved satellite peaks in XRD. GaSb-based SLs with better structural quality and smoother surface showed strong photoluminescence at 2.55 μm with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 20 meV, narrower than 31 meV of GaAs-based SLs. Inferior optical absorption of GaAs-based SL was observed in the range of 2―3 μm.
