1Identifying paleoflood deposits archived in Zhongba Site,the Three Gorges reservoir region of the YangtzeRiver,China显示文摘Based on the principle that the present is the key to the past , detailed analyses, such as AMS 14C dating, grain size, component and morphology of heavy minerals, micro-morphology of zircon, Rb/Sr, magnetic susceptibility and total organic carbon (TOC), were conducted to identify paleoflood sediments archived in Zhongba Site. The results indicate that the plaeoflood sediments bear great similarities with modern flood sediments in the following aspects: (1) probability cumulative curves mainly show a pattern of 3―4 segments; (2) grain-size distribution of suspended matter ranges between 3 and 10Ф; (3) the sediments are well-sorted, most of which are suspended matter (>50%); (4) the same species, quantity and morphology of heavy minerals; (5) scanning electronic microscope images show that shapes of zircon are mainly oval and nearly spheral, rounded due to long-distance transport; (6) higher Rb/Sr values (0.55―0.66)than those of sediments from cultural layers (0.03―0.26); (7) magnetic susceptibility values (133.73―433.05 10-6m3/kg) are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (959.25―2442.44 10?6 m3/kg); (8) TOC (0.14%―0.33%) are lower than those of sediments from cultural lay-ers (1.13%―2.95%). 2Characteristics of paleoflood deposits archived in unit T0403 of Yuxi Site in the Three Gorges reservoir areas,China显示文摘Based on the detailed analyses,multi-proxies such as AMS 14 C dating,grain size,component and morphology of heavy minerals,micromorphology of zircon,magnetic susceptibility,Rb/Sr and Hg content are used to research the paleoflood sediments archived in the Yuxi Site.The research indicates that, since 7.6 kaBP,at least 16 times of paleoflood with water level above Wusong Elevation 147.024 m(a.s.l.) left deposits in the Neolithic layers of unit T0403 from the Yuxi Site.The results are induced from the following aspects:(1)The plaeoflood sediments take on great similarities with modern flood sediments in the Yuxi Site and Zhongba Site in probability cumulative curves which mainly show a pattern of 3 segments in fluvial pattern.(2)There is some resemblance between the heavy mineral components and the zircon shape characteristics of paleoflood deposits and those of modern flood deposits.(3) Magnetic susceptibility values(40.44―70.10SI)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (59.59―188.68SI).(4)Hg values(290.71―742.51 ng/g)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers(344.16―10518.17 ng/g).(5)Rb/Sr values are higher than those of sediments from cultural layers, while those of the 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th cultural layers are high,which shows that they are inundated by paleoflood.The reason for many flood deposits existing is related to the site situated on the first terrace where the Yuxi River joins with the Yangtze River.As there are some similarities between the plaeoflood sediments and those of the Zhongba Site,it is feasible to confirm the existence of paleoflood sediments based on the above points.ZHU Cheng MA ChunMei XU WeiFeng BAI JiuJiang ZHENG ChaoGui ZHU GuangYao WANG HuiLin CHEN Ye LU XueFeng 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:16
3Engineered three-dimensional scaffolds for enhanced bone regeneration in osteonecrosis显示文摘Osteonecrosis,which is typically induced by trauma,glucocorticoid abuse,or alcoholism,is one of the most severe diseases in clinical orthopedics.Osteonecrosis often leads to joint destruction,and arthroplasty is eventually required.Enhancement of bone regeneration is a critical management strategy employed in osteonecrosis therapy.Bone tissue engineering based on engineered three-dimensional(3D)scaffolds with appropriate architecture and osteoconductive activity,alone or functionalized with bioactive factors,have been developed to enhance bone regeneration in osteonecrosis.In this review,we elaborate on the ideal properties of 3D scaffolds for enhanced bone regeneration in osteonecrosis,including biocompatibility,degradability,porosity,and mechanical performance.In addition,we summarize the development of 3D scaffolds alone or functionalized with bioactive factors for accelerating bone regeneration in osteonecrosis and discuss their prospects for translation to clinical practice.Tongtong Zhu Yutao Cui Mingran Zhang Duoyi Zhao Guangyao Liu Jianxun Ding 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:14
4Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles on reduced graphene oxide as a long-life and high-rate anode material for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles supported on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)are successfully synthesized by a simple process.This composite makes full use of the protection of the carbon layer on the surface,the good conductivity and three-dimensional(3D)structure of rGO,the mesoporous structure and nanoscale size of Co9S8,thereby presenting the excellent electrochemical performances in potassium-ion batteries,407.9 mAh·g^−1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A·g^−1 and 215.1 mAh·g^−1 at 5 A·g^−1 in rate performances.After 1,200 cycles at 1.0 A·g^−1,this composite still remains a capacity of 210.8 mAh·g^−1.The redox reactions for potassium storage are revealed by ex-situ transmission electron microscope(TEM)/high-resolution TEM(HRTEM)images,selected area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra.The application of this composite as the host of sulfur for Li-S batteries is also explored.It sustains a capacity of 431.8 mAh·g^−1 after 800 cycles at 3 C,leading to a degradation of 0.052%per cycle.These results confirm the wide applications of this composite for electrochemical energy storage.Guangyao Ma Xiao Xu Zhenyu Feng Chenjing Hu Yansong Zhu Xianfeng Yang Jian Yang Yitai Qian 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:9
5Environmental archaeology on Longshan Culture (4500-4000 aBP) at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu, Anhui Province显示文摘Based on the samples collected from the west wall of the ABYT2004 at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu,Anhui Province,the multi-environmental substitute indexes such as the grain-size,Rb/Sr,zircon crystal morphology and magnetic susceptibility were analyzed.The age of archaeological strata was determined by AMS14C dating.According to the results,combined with the information of the ancient human activities and the cultural heritage data obtained from the Longshan cultural archaeological strata,it can be concluded that(1) Before 4500 aBP,the climate was humid and water level was high in the Huaihe River and its tributaries,the drainage basin and its surrounding areas were even flooded,so the site area was submerged and there were no human activities around the site.(2) About 4500 aBP,the climate began to become drier and water level of the Huaihe River and its tributaries began to decline,thus floodplain gradually appeared,Yuhuicun Site and Longshan Culture began to appear.(3) Around 4100 aBP,the climate was humid and rainfall was abundant,which resulted in frequent flood disasters in the whole Huaihe River Basin.(4) After 4100 aBP,the climate gradually transited to be cold and dry,agricultural production was constrained to reduce the food source,Yuhuicun Site was almost abandoned.(5) The environmental information in sedimentary strata and historical records based on ancient books agree with each other.In addition,Yuhuicun Site was related to Dayu Zhishui(Yu the Great in taming the floods) in ancient books.ZHANG Guangsheng ZHU Cheng WANG Jihuai ZHU Guangyao MA Chunmei ZHENG Chaogui ZHAO Lanhui LI Zhongxuan LI Lan JIN Aichun 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,3:3
6China's Import–exchange Rate Linkage:Evidence from the China-bound Exports of Japan and Korea显示文摘This paper examines how the China-bound exports of Japan and Korea are related to exchange rates,motivated by the fact that processing trade makes up a large proportion of China's trade,and that Japan and Korea are the leading source countries for processing imports.Because processing imports are inputs for exports,the link between such imports and China's exchange rates are ambiguous.We estimate export functions that include China's RMB real effective exchange rates(REER) along with bilateral real exchange rates(BRER) using Johansen's cointegration method and find that the RMB REER significantly affects Japanese and Korean exports to China,even more so than BRER in most cases examined.These two exchange rates appear in the export equations with opposite signs.Subsequently,we use the estimated model to illustrate the importance of accounting for a concurrent change in BRER when analyzing the effects of a hypothetical RMB revaluation on China's trade balances despite the apparently weak imports–BRER linkage.Chan-Guk Huh Guangyao Zhu 2014China & World Economy2014,22,1:2
7Relations between man and nature reflected by the evolution of the Neolithic production tools in the Three Gorges region of Yangtze River,China显示文摘The relations between man and nature reflected by evolution of Neolithic production tools in the Three Gorges region of Yangtze River is discussed in this paper.Our results show that there is a good correlation between the percentage vibration of cutting tool types and the environmental evolution indicated by the natural profile nearby.It is possible for ancestors from the Three Gorges region to learn the advantage of mortise and tenon in the early Neolithic Age because they used the stones as vital tools for processing woods.The hunting method in the early Neolithic is throwing,which was inherited in the mid-Neolithic Age when hunting with arrow and bow was developed.Fishing tools are found at the same period.Numbers of net sinkers and spinning wheels unearthed from the strata of the Western Zhou Dynasty from Zhongba Site reveal the fact of fishing with net,while a mass of fishbone pits indi- cate the powerful productivity brought by new production tools.Quantity of stone spades and stone hoes proves that cultivation agriculture by hoe is extremely attached importance by the ancestors in the Three Gorges region.Moreover,the developed agriculture in Daxi Culture at Zhongbao Island benefits from the landform,climate,traffic location,etc.Otherwise,the reason that the farming tools declined in the late Neolithic Age is related to the extreme flood during the early Xia Dynasty and the fishing hunting preference of some ancient settlements.This research shows that ancestors of the Three Gorges region during the Neolithic Age attached importance to fish hunting and cultivation, fought against the natural environment by production tools,constantly created and improved them, then comprehensively utilized them to evolve the relations between man and nature.GuangYao Zhu Cheng Zhu GuangYue Shi ZhiBin Sun 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:2

9Efficacy of Renshen(Radix Ginseng) plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata) on myocardial infarction by enhancing autophagy in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To elucidate the protective effects of Renshen(Radix Ginseng)and Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)on myocardial infarction(MI)through regulating myocardial autophagy.METHODS:Thirty-one male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into five groups(n=6 or 7 for each).After treatment for 3 weeks,electrocardiogram(ECG)and cardiac function were recorded.Hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining was used to detect pathological changes in the heart.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect serum B-type brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),cardiac troponin T(c Tn T),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and serum inflammatory cytokines.Metabolomic analysis was used to identify differential biomarkers of MI in rats.Immunohistochemistry and western blotting were used to detect BNP,cTnT,TNF-α,LC3B,Beclin-1,p62,and adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase(AMPK)expression in cardiac tissue.RESULTS:Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)alone or Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)markedly ameliorated cardiac dysfunction and abnormal ECGs,demonstrated by decreases in the heart weight/body weight ratio,BNP,and c Tn T.Pro-inflammation cytokine interleukin(IL)-1αsignificantly decreased and anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 significantly increased in Renshen(Radix Ginseng)single or Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)groups compared with the control group.HE results suggested that co-treatment produced a greater reduction in cardiomyocyte cross-sectional area than Renshen(Radix Ginseng)or Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)alone.Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)reversed these changes to different degrees in MI rats.Furthermore,Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)down-regulated LC3 B,Beclin-1,and AMPK expression in cardiac tissue and upregulated p62 expression.CONCLUSIONS:Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)may have a greater effect on heart injury induced by MI in rats than Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)treatment alone,and the underlying mechanism may be associated with the regulation of myocardial autophagy and anti-inflammation effects.These results provide fresh insight into the mechanism of co-treatment with Renshen(Radix Ginseng)and Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)for MI.YANG Liang HUANG Guangyao WANG Yuguang HAN Baoqi ZHENG Bin ZHU Jinmiao GAO Shan GAO Yue 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6:1
10Biofunctionalized composite scaffold to potentiate osteoconduction,angiogenesis,and favorable metabolic microenvironment for osteonecrosis therapy显示文摘Osteonecrosis is a common orthopedic disease in clinic,resulting in joint collapse if no appropriate treatment is performed in time.Core decompression is a general treatment modality for early osteonecrosis.However,effective bone regeneration in the necrotic area is still a significant challenge.This study developed a biofunctionalized composite scaffold(PLGA/nHA30VEGF)for osteonecrosis therapy through potentiation of osteoconduction,angiogenesis,and a favorable metabolic microenvironment.The composite scaffold had a porosity of 87.7%and compressive strength of 8.9 MPa.PLGA/nHA30VEGF had an average pore size of 227.6μm and a water contact angle of 56.5◦with a sustained release profile of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).After the implantation of PLGA/nHA30VEGF,various osteogenic and angiogenic biomarkers were upregulated by 2-9 fold compared with no treatment.Additionally,the metabolomic and lipidomic profiling studies demonstrated that PLGA/nHA30VEGF effectively regulated the multiple metabolites and more than 20 inordinate metabolic pathways in osteonecrosis.The excellent performances reveal that the biofunctionalized composite scaffold provides an advanced adjuvant therapy modality for osteonecrosis.Tongtong Zhu Mengyang Jiang Mingran Zhang Liguo Cui Xiaoyu Yang Xukai Wang Guangyao Liu Jianxun Ding Xuesi Chen 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:1

13Trace Formulae for the Nonlinearization of Periodic Finite-Bands Dirac Spectral Problem显示文摘This paper deals with a Dirac operator with periodic and finite-bands potentials.Taking advantage of the commutativity of the monodromy operator and the Dirac operator, we define the Bloch functions and multiplicator curve, which leads to the formula of DubrovinNovikov's type. Further, by calculation of residues on the complex sphere and via gauge transformation, we get the trace formulae of eigenfunctions corresponding to the left endpoints and right end-points of the spectral bands, respectively. 14Improved Qualitative Trajectory Calculus for Pair-Activity Analysis显示文摘Trajectory provides the most robust feature for activity recognition in far-field surveillance videos,in which increasing attentions have been given to the use of qualitative methods with symbolic rather than real-value features.Qualitative trajectory calculus(QTC)showed a good performance in pair-activity from video.However,QTC and similar works are not good at dealing with noise,since they are all considering short-term features.To deal with the problems mentioned above,two types of long-term features,including sub-trajectory feature and point-trajectory feature,are designed.The sub-trajectory feature is a long-term feature in a coarse granularity,while the point-trajectory feature is a long-term feature in a relatively fine granularity.Using the sub-trajectory feature,a couple of trajectories are segmented into sub-trajectories and enveloping boxes are used to substitute the original sub-trajectory for capturing the major attributes.The point-trajectory feature describes the relationship between a single point in one trajectory and all parts of the other trajectory.The experiments on the human activity classification data demonstrated that our proposed methods are better than the original QTC and previous short-term features.Shengsheng Wang Guangyao Wang Yungang Zhu Jingwen Shao 2019Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2019,28,2:0
15Improvement of Poplar Bark Extract on Physiological Characters of Lactococcus lactis in Intestine of White Feather Broilers显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to study the improvement of poplar bark extract on intestinal Lactococcus lactis of white feather broilers.[Method]Totally 450 Ross 308 white-feather broilers were randomly divided into five groups:control group,low dose group,medium dose group,high dose group,and antibiotic group(oxytetracycline hydrochloride).The feeding duration was 45 d.The probiotics were screened and isolated through homology,and the physiological and biochemical characteristics of chicken intestinal bacteria in different groups were compared to determine the properties of bacterial strain.The drug resistance,antibacterial ability,proliferation ability,acid resistance and bile salt resistance of isolated strain were tested,and a strain of L.lactis was obtained.[Result]The isolated L.lactis was sensitive to other drugs except natural tetracyclines,and there was no significant difference among the four groups except oxytetracycline group;as the concentration of extract increased,the inhibition of L.lactis against Salmonella sp.increased;the medium dose extract had the largest increase in the ability to tolerate the proliferation of L.lactis.[Conclusion]Feeding poplar bark extract will produce positive effects on the physiological characters of intestinal L.lactis in broiler chicken,which will provide potential probiotic strain for chicken production.Liu Guofang Zheng Guangyao He Pengfei Song Chunlei Yan Linlin Chen Ming Luo Guilan Liu Fu'an Zhu Haoyuan Qin Dongyu 2020Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2020,12,3:0
