1An intensive study on aerosol optical properties and affecting factors in Nanjing,China显示文摘The optical properties of aerosol as well as their impacting factors were investigated at a suburb site in Nanjing during autumn from 14 to 28 November 2012. More severe pollution was found together with lower visibility. The average scattering and absorption coefficients(B sca and B abs) were 375.7 ± 209.5 and 41.6 ± 18.7 Mm^(-1), respectively. Higher ?ngstr?m absorption and scattering exponents were attributed to the presence of more aged aerosol with smaller particles. Relative humidity(RH) was a key factor affecting aerosol extinction. High RH resulted in the impairment of visibility, with hygroscopic growth being independent of the dry extinction coefficient. The hygroscopic growth factor was 1.8 ± 1.2 with RH from 19% to 85%.Light absorption was enhanced by organic carbon(OC), elemental carbon(EC) and EC coatings,with contributions of 26%, 44% and 75%(532 nm), respectively. 2Two-Year Observation of Fossil Fuel Carbon Dioxide Spatial Distribution in Xi’an City显示文摘The need for atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO2)reduction in the context of global warming is widely acknowledged by the global scientific community.Fossil fuel CO2(CO2ff)emissions occur mainly in cities,and can be monitored directly with radiocarbon(14 C).In this research,annual plants[Setaria viridis(L.)Beauv.]were collected from 26 sites in 2013 and2014 in the central urban district of Xi’an City.The△14C content of the samples were analyzed using a 3 MV Accelerator Mass Spectrometer,and CO2ff concentrations were calculated based on mass balance equations.The results showed that the CO2ff mixing ratio ranged from 15.9 to 25.0 ppm(part per million,equivalent toμmol mol-1),with an average of 20.5 ppm in 2013.The range of measured values became larger in 2014,from 13.9 ppm to 33.1 ppm,with an average of 23.5 ppm.The differences among the average CO2ff concentrations between the central area and outer urban areas were not statistically significant.Although the year-to-year variation of the CO2ff concentration was significant(P<0.01),there was a distinctly low CO2 ff value observed in the northeast corner of the city.CO2 ff emiissions from vehicle exhaust and residential sources appeared to be more significant than two thermal power plants,according to our observed CO2 ff spatial distribution.The variation of pollution source transport recorded in our observations was likely controlled by southwesterly winds.These results could assist in the optimal placement of regional CO2 monitoring stations,and benefit the local government in the implementation of efficient carbon emission reduction measures.Xiaohu XIONG Weijian ZHOU Shugang WU Peng CHENG Hua DU Yaoyao HOU Zhenchuan NIU Peng WANG Xuefeng LU Yunchong FU 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,6:2
3Investigation of carbonyl amidation and O-methylation during biosynthesis of the pharmacophore pyridyl of antitumor piericidins显示文摘Piericidins are a large family of bacterialα-pyridone antibiotics with antitumor activities such as their anti-renal carcinoma activity exhibited recently in nude mice.The backbones of piericidins are derived fromβ,δ-diketo carboxylic acids,which are offloaded from a modular polyketide synthase(PKS)and putatively undergo a carbonyl amidation beforeα-pyridone ring formation.The tailoring modifications to theα-pyridone structure mainly include the verified hydroxylation and O-methylation of the C-4′position and an unidentified C-5′O-methylation.Here,we describe a piericidin producer,terrestrial Streptomyces conglobatus,which contains a piericidin biosynthetic gene cluster in two different loci.Deletion of the amidotransferase gene pieD resulted in the accumulation of two fatty acids that should be degraded from the nascent carboxylic acid released by the PKS,supporting the carbonyl amidation function of PieD duringα-pyridone ring formation.Deletion of the O-methyltransferase gene pieB1 led to the production of three piericidin analogues lacking C-5′O-methylation,therefore confirming that PieB1 specifically catalyses the tailoring modification.Moreover,bioactivity analysis of the mutant-derived products provided clues regarding the structure-function relationship for antitumor activity.The work addresses two previously unidentified steps involved in pyridyl pharmacophore formation during piericidin biosynthesis,facilitating the rational bioengineering of the biosynthetic pathway towards valuable antitumor agents.Wanlu Li Wenyu Zhang Yijia Cheng Yaoyao Shen Jianzhao Qi Hou-Wen Lin Yongjun Zhou 2022Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2022,7,3:2
4Synchronous constructing ion channels and confined space of Co_(3)O_(4) anode for high-performance lithium-ion batteries显示文摘The yolk–shell structure has a unique advantage in lithium-ion batteries applications due to its ability to effectively buffer the volume expansion of the lithiation/delithiation process.However,its development is limited by the low contact point between the core and shell.Herein,we propose a general strategy of simultaneous construction of sufficient reserved space and multicontinuous active channels by pyrolysis of two carbon substrates.A double-shell structure consisting of Co_(3)O_(4) anchored to hollow carbon sphere and external self-supporting zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)layer was constructed by spray pyrolysis and additional carbon coating in-situ growth.In the process of high-temperature calcination,the carbon and nitrogen layers between the shells separate,creating additional space,while the Co_(3)O_(4) particles between the shells remain are still in close contact to form continuous and fast electron conduction channels,which can realize better charge transfer.Due to the synergy of these design principles,the material has ultra-high initial discharge capacities of 2,183.1 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.2 A·g^(−1) with capacity of 1,121.36 mAh·g^(−1) after 250 cycles,the long-term capacities retention rate is about 92.4%after 700 cycles at 1 A·g^(−1).This unique channel-type double-shell structure fights a way out to prepare novel electrode materials with high performance.Yan Zhou Chao Wang Feiran Chen Tingjuan Wang Yaoyao Ni Hongxia Sun Nan Yu Baoyou Geng 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:2

9Synergy of in-situ heterogeneous interphases tailored lithium deposition显示文摘The implementation of a robust artificial solid electrolyte interphase(ASEI)to replace the unstable natural SEI can regulate lithium deposition behaviors and avoid the safety hazards caused by dendrites permeation in lithium metal batteries.Despite of devoted efforts in tailoring components of ASEI,the intrinsic mechanism of interfacial synergy within the heterogeneous interphases has not been well elucidated yet.Herein,we show that the lithium plating/striping behaviors can be substantially enhanced(over 900 h with an overpotential of less than 20 mV at 1 mA·cm^(−2)in Li|Li symmetric cells and 146 cycles in anode-free cells)by regulating the heterogeneous interphases.This favorable ASEI composed of LiF and Li_(3)N components can be in-situ generated during cycling by large-scale fabricated fluorinated boron nitride coatings.Further,the synergy of each heterogeneous component within ASEI was explored theoretically and experimentally.Li_(3)N has high adsorption energy and low ion diffusion barrier,which facilitates the transport of lithium ions and avoids its local accumulation to evolve into dendrites.Both the substrate and LiF are interfacially stable with high electron tunneling barriers,preventing the electrolyte decomposition and parasitic reactions.Finally,the high stiffness of the boron nitride also ensures lithium dendrites are suppressed once they grow,providing a stable environment for long-term cycling of lithium metal batteries.Yinuo Li Anjun Hu Xingdong Gan Miao He Jun Zhu Wei Chen Yin Hu Tianyu Lei Fei Li Yaoyao Li Yuxin Fan Fan Wang Mingjie Zhou An Wen Baihai Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,6:0
10Highly efficient perovskite solar cells by building 2D/3D perovskite heterojuction in situ for interfacial passivation and energy level adjustment显示文摘Passivating the interfacial defects and reducing the interfacial non-radiative recombination losses are the keys to improving the photovoltaic performance of three-dimensional(3D)perovskite solar cells(PVSCs).Stacking two dimensional(2D)perovskites on 3D perovskite is a promising method for interfacial treatment that improves the stability and efficiency of PVSCs.Herein,we developed conjugated fluorinated benzimidazolium cation(FBIm+)which can be inserted between 3D perovskite and holetransporting layer(HTL)to form 2D perovskite in situ.The 2D single crystal structures of(FBIm)_(2)Pb I4and(FBIm)_(2)Pb Br_(4)were achieved and confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction(XRD),while few single crystals of 2D perovskite based on imidazolium or benzimidazolium anchors have been reported.The 2D perovskite can passivate the interfacial defects,induce better crystallinity and orientation,conduct lower trap density and extend carrier lifetime.Furthermore,the energy level arrangement can be regulated by changing the counterion from iodide to bromide,which can efficiently improve the hole extraction and device performances.As a consequence,the best efficiency of 23.00%for FBIm Br-incorporated devices was achieved,while only 20.72%for the control device.Meanwhile,the PVSCs modified by FBIm Br displayed excellent environmental stability due to the constructed hydrophobic 2D perovskite layer which can effectively block moisture permeation.This work develops a new path to design novel conjugated organic passivants to form 2D/3D perovskite structures.Yaoyao Huang Zhangyu Yuan Jia Yang Shungao Yin Aihui Liang Gang Xie Chuizheng Feng Zhisheng Zhou Qifan Xue Yang Pan Fei Huang Yiwang Chen 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,2:0
11Indoor Propagation of Transgenic Glyphosate-tolerant Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) and Transfer Breeding for Herbicide Tolerance显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the possibility of screening for herbicide resistance in the early stage of rapes growth. [Methods] Eight treatments were set for a herbicide concentration experiment. [Results] Rape sprouts were highly sensitive to the herbicide glyphosate, and even a very low concentration of glyphosate solution(187 mg/L) was sufficient to kill most of the rape seedlings, while the genetically modified herbicide-tolerant rape could tolerate higher concentrations of the herbicide. Low concentrations of glyphosate could be used for screening at the sprout stage, and the results of herbicide-tolerance screening were consistent with PCR testing. 12Biosynthesis of trialkyl-substituted aromatic polyketide NFAT-133 involves unusual P450 monooxygenase-mediating aromatization and a putative metallo-beta-lactamase fold hydrolase显示文摘The bacterial trialkyl-substituted aromatic polyketides are structurally featured with the unusual aromatic core in the middle of polyketide chain such as TM-123(1),veramycin A(2),NFAT-133(3)and benwamycin I(4),which were discovered from Streptomyces species and demonstrated with antidiabetic and immunosuppressant activities.Though the biosynthetic pathway of 1-3 was reported as a type I polyketide synthase(PKS),the PKS assembly line was interpreted inconsistently,and it remains a mystery how the compound 3 was generated.Herein,the PKS assembly logic of 1-4 was revised by site-mutagenetic analysis of the PKS dehydratase domains.Based on gene deletion and complementation,the putative P450 monooxygenase nftE1 and metallo-beta-lactamase(MBL)fold hydrolase nftF1 were verified as essential genes for the biosynthesis of 1-4.The absence of nftE1 led to abolishment of 1-4 and accumulation of new products(5-8).Structural elucidation reveals 5-8 as the non-aromatic analogs of 1,suggesting the NftE1-catalyzed aromatic core formation.Deletion of nftF1 resulted in disappearance of 3 and 4 with the compounds 1 and 2 unaffected.As a rare MBL-fold hydrolase from type I PKSs,NftF1 potentially generates the compound 3 through two strategies:catalyze premature chain-offloading as a trans-acting thioesterase or hydrolyze the lactone-bond of compound 1 as an esterase.Ming Yang Wanlu Li Lin Zhou Xiao Lin Wenyu Zhang Yaoyao Shen Hai Deng Hou-wen Lin Yongjun Zhou 2023Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2023,8,3:0
13A novel TNKS/USP25 inhibitor blocks the Wnt pathway to overcome multi-drug resistance in TNKS-overexpressing colorectal cancer显示文摘Modulating Tankyrases(TNKS),interactions with USP25 to promote TNKS degradation,rather than inhibiting their enzymatic activities,is emerging as an alternative/specific approach to inhibit the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.Here,we identified UAT-B,a novel neoantimycin analog isolated from Streptomyces conglobatus,as a small-molecule inhibitor of TNKS-USP25 protein-protein interaction(PPI)to overcome multi-drug resistance in colorectal cancer(CRC).The disruption of TNKS-USP25 complex formation by UAT-B led to a significant decrease in TNKS levels,triggering cell apoptosis through modulation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.Importantly,UAT-B successfully inhibited the CRC cells growth that harbored high TNKS levels,as demonstrated in various in vitro and in vivo studies utilizing cell line-based and patient-derived xenografts,as well as APC^(min/+)spontaneous CRC models.Collectively,these findings suggest that targeting the TNKS-USP25 PPI using a small-molecule inhibitor represents a compelling therapeutic strategy for CRC treatment,and UAT-B emerges as a promising candidate for further preclinical and clinical investigations.Hongrui Zhu Yamin Gao Liyun Liu Mengyu Tao Xiao Lin Yijia Cheng Yaoyao Shen Haitao Xue Li Guan Huimin Zhao Li Liu Shuping Wang Fan Yang Yongjun Zhou Hongze Liao Fan Sun Houwen Lin 2024Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2024,14,1:0
14Hail impact responses and residual tensile properties of CFRP T-joints显示文摘Hail impact is a major challenge encountered by aircraft in flight,and thus is a key concern in the design of damage-tolerant composite T-joints in aviation.The study uses the Z-pinning technique(the pre-hole insertion technology)in combination with fillets of two radiuses to manufacture four types of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers(CFRP)T-joints.The T-joints are then subjected to hail impact tests at two energy levels,as well as post-impact quasi-static tensile tests.The results show that increasing the size of the deltoid and Z-pin-induced reinforcement has a limited influence on the responses of the T-joints to hail impact,but a significant influence on their residual tensile strength after impact.These influences are not only dependent on the structural characteristics of the T-joints,but are also closely related to the degree of discrete damage within the T-joints caused by hail impact.Acoustic Emission(AE)technology is used to monitor the quantitative evolution of damage to the T-joints in a timely manner during the loading process,and helps characterize the characteristics of evolution of various types of damage over different periods.The research here can help design lightweight and damage-tolerant T-joints.Jianwu ZHOU Zhibin ZHAO Yaoyao SHI Xu WANG Xiaopeng CHEN Chenwei SHAN 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,7:0

16Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution among patients with allergic rhinitis and its correlation with anxiety and depression显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To preliminary investigate the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)constitution among patients with allergic rhinitis(AR)and reveal the related factors with anxiety and depression.METHODS:Between July 2020 and June 2021,specialist doctor recruited AR patients in Beijing and Shanghai.A total of 630 patients admitted to participate in the survey,and 516(81.9%)(male 54.3%,female 45.7%)participants completed the questionnaires.Three scales including Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnaire(CCMQ),Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire(GAD-7)and The Patient Health Queationaire-9(PHQ-9)were applied.Theχ^(2)and the Fisher’s exact test were used to evaluate the classification data,multivariate logistic regression was used to explore the related factors of anxiety and depression.RESULTS:According to 516 AR patients,the most commonly first-constitution was Yang-deficiency(22.1%)and frequent of all constitutions was inherited-special(21.6%).One third of AR patients(33.5%)suffered from anxiety,nearly half of AR patients(46.5%)were found to be depressive.Inherited-special(27.7%)was the most common constitution in patients with anxiety whereas Yang-deficiency(26.7%)was most common constitution in patients with depression.Sex,duration of symptoms,balanced,Qi-deficiency,phlegm-dampness,Qi-stagnation,and inherited-special constitutions were related with anxiety;Sex,income,duration of symptoms,balanced,Qi-deficiency,Yang-deficiency,phlegm-dampness,Qi-stagnation,and inherited-special constitutions were related with depression.CONCLUSIONS:According to our study,the commonly constitution types of AR were Yang-deficiency and inherited-special.We found that the prevalence value of anxiety and depression were high.People with Qi-deficiency,phlegm-dampness,Qi-stagnation,and inherited-special constitutions were more likely to have mental problems than the others.Controlling these influential factors might be beneficial for clinical health management of AR patients,and the government should apply appropriate mental health treatment services to offer psychiatric support.WANG Yaqi ZHAO Weibo WANG Yixing ZHAO Haihong ZHOU Yaoyao YAN Yun WU Taotao LUO Bin WANG Ji 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,6:0
17Simultaneous integration of Fe clusters and NiFe dual single atoms in nitrogen-doped carbon for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Atomically-dispersed iron-based electrocatalysts are promising substitutes for noble metal electrocatalysts because of excellent performance in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Rationally modulating the local coordination environment of the Fe site and optimizing the binding energy of oxygen reduction intermediates are effective strategies to optimize ORR activity.Herein,we report a new method in which Ni is introduced to construct NiFe dual single atoms and iron nanoclusters loaded on the nitrogen-doped carbon with a highly porous structure.This design plays a synergistic role of dual single atoms and clusters,optimizes the 3d orbital and Fermi level of Fe,breaks the symmetrical structure of Fe-N_(4),and effectively improves the adsorption/desorption behavior of the oxygen-containing intermediates.Electrochemical tests show FeNCs/NiFeSAs-NC has an excellent intrinsic activity.Theoretical calculations show the oxygen-containing species on the Ni active site will move to the middle of NiFe(bridge site connection)after optimization and that the key step is OH desorption,with a reaction energy of 0.27 eV.The electron exchange between NiFe-N6 and Fe-cluster is very strong,further indicating the introduction of Ni species and Fe clusters has a regulatory effect on the electronic structure of Fe-N_(4).Jirong Bai Yuebin Lian Yaoyao Deng Mei Xiang Peng Xu Quanfa Zhou Yawen Tang Yaqiong Su 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0

19Computed tomography-based delta-radiomics enabling early prediction ofshort-term responses to concurrent chemoradiotherapy for patients withnon-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective:To explore the potential of computed tomography(CT)-based delta-radiomics in predicting early shortterm responses to concurrent chemoradiotherapy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),in order to determine the optimal time point for the prediction.Methods:A total of 20 patients with pathologically confirmed NSCLC were prospectively enrolled in this study,who did not receive surgical treatment between February 2021 and February 2022.For each case,a total of 1,210 radiomic features(RFs)were extracted from both planning CT(pCT)images along with each of the subsequent three weeks of CT images.EffectiveΔRFs were selected using intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC)analysis,Pearson's correlation,ANOVA test(or Mann-Whitney U-test),and univariate logistic regression.The area under the curve(AUC)of the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the potential to predict short-term responses of different time points.Results:Among the 1,210ΔRFs for 1-3 weeks,121 common features were retained after processing using ICC analysis and Pearson's correlation.These retained features included 54 and 58 of all time points that differed significantly between the response and non-response groups for the first and third months,respectively(P<0.05).After univariate logistic regression,11 and 44 features remained for the first and third months,respectively.Finally,eightΔRFs(P<0.05,AUC=0.77-0.91)that can discriminate short-term responses in both at 1 and 3 months with statistical accuracy were identified.Conclusion:CT-based delta-radiomics has the potential to provide reasonable biomarkers of short-term responses to concurrent chemoradiotherapy for NSCLC patients,and it can help improve clinical decisions for early treatment adaptation.Fengqin Zhou Jianping Bi Shen Wu Yi Ding Jun Chen Mengting Yuan Yaoyao He Guang Han Zilong Yuan 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,4:0
