1Effects of process parameters on pore structure of semi-coke prepared by solid heat carrier with dry distillation显示文摘The semi-coke was prepared by solid heat carrier with dry distillation in single factor method. The pore structures of raw coal and semi-coke were characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the adsorption and desorption isotherm of semi-coke are not coincident. There was a wide pore distribution on the semi-coke, in which mesopores and micropores account for a considerable proportion. Also there are many more secondary pores. With the increase of the final temperature of heat carrier and constant temperature, as well as the decrease of volume ratio of coal and hot carrier reactor, specific surface area and pore volume of semi-coke increased rapidly first and then decreased and finally increased, along with the rapidly reduction of average pore size. 3PIP5k1β controls bone homeostasis through modulating both osteoclast and osteoblast differentiation显示文摘PIP5k1βis crucial to the generation of phosphotidylinosotol(4,5)P2.PIP5k1βparticipates in numerous cellular activities,such as B cell and platelet activation,cell phagocytosis and endocytosis,cell apoptosis,and cytoskeletal organization.In the present work,we aimed to examine the function of PIP5k1βin osteoclastogenesis and osteogenesis to provide promising strategies for osteoporosis prevention and treatment.We discovered that PIP5k1β deletion in mice resulted in obvious bone loss and that PIP5k1β was highly expressed during both osteoclast and osteoblast differentiation.Deletion of the gene was found to enhance the proliferation and migration of bone marrow-derived macrophage-like cells to promote osteoclast differentiation.PIP5k1β-/-osteoclasts exhibited normal cytoskeleton architecture but stronger resorption activity.PIP5kip deficiency also promoted activation of mitogen-activated kinase and Akt signaling,enhanced TRAF6 and c-Fos expression,facilitated the expression and nuclear translocation of NFATC1,and upregulated Grb2 expression,thereby accelerating osteoclast differentiation and function.Finally,PIP5k1β enhanced osteoblast differentiation by upregulating master gene expression through triggering smad1/5/8 signaling.Therefore,PIP5k1βmodulates bone homeostasis and remodeling.Xiaoying Zhao Penglei Cui Guoli Hu Chuandong Wang Lei Jiang Jingyu Zhao Jiake Xu Xiaoling Zhang 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,1:4
4Extraction,Isolation and Structural Characterization of Polysaccharides from a Red Alga Gloiopeltis furcata显示文摘Three kinds of polysaccharides:GFW,GFH and GFA,were sequentially extracted from a red alga Gloiopeltis furcatawith 25℃and 85℃water,and 60℃ 4%NaOHwater solution.Based on the defatted alga,the yields of the polysaccharide were57.9%,2.5%and 2.6%,respectively.Their monosaccharide compositions,average molecular weights and structural characters weredetermined by gas chromatography(GC),high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)or13C-NMR spectroscopy.The results showed that GFW,GFH and GFA were all composed of D-galactose(Gal)and3,6-anhydro-L-galactose(AnG),and particularly GFA also contained xylose(Xyl).The average molecular weights of GFW,GFHand GFA were 22.6 kD,26.5 kD and 49.8 kD,respectively,with the respective sulfate content 31.2%,25.1%and 22.7%.The data ofFTIR and13C-NMR confirmed the sulfate ester location at C6 of galactose.It is concluded that all the three polysaccharides extractedfrom Gloiopeltis furcata were sulfated galactans,two being sulfated-agarose,and one being xylose-containing sulfated galactan.YU Guangli HU Yannan YANG Bo ZHAO Xia WANG Peipei JI Guoli WU Jiandong GUAN Huashi 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,2:3
5The cellular niche for intestinal stem cells: ateam effort显示文摘The rapidly self-renewing epithelium in the mammalian intestine is maintained by multipotent intestinal stem cells(ISCs) located at the bottom of the intestinal crypt that are interspersed with Paneth cells in the small intestine andPaneth-like cells in the colon. The ISC compartment is also closely associated with a sub-epithelial compartmentthat contains multiple types of mesenchymal stromal cells. With the advances in single cell and gene editingtechnologies, rapid progress has been made for the identification and characterization of the cellular componentsof the niche microenvironment that is essential for self-renewal and differentiation of ISCs. It has becomeincreasingly clear that a heterogeneous population of mesenchymal cells as well as the Paneth cells collectivelyprovide multiple secreted niche signals to promote ISC self-renewal. 6Early Mesozoic structural deformation in the Chuandian N-S Tectonic Belt,China显示文摘The Helan-Chuandian N-S Tectonic Belt is a mantle transitional belt in China.The southern part,forming the Chuandian N-S Tectonic Belt,comprises several tectonic systems,each displaying different characteristics.The Chuandian N-S Tectonic Belt along the western margin of Yangtze Block is a strike-slip tectonic belt with a series of echelon left-lateral slip faults.The strike-slip fault systems experienced two stages of structural deformation:early NW-SE striking thrust faults formed under a NE-SW compression stress field,and later sinistral strike-slip structures formed along thrust faults under a NW-SE compression stress field.Mesozoic basins developed between the left-lateral slip faults.Sedimentary facies and paleocurrent directions indicate that basin development was controlled by the strike-slip faults.The oldest strata in the Chuandian N-S Tectonic Belt constrain its formation to early Mesozoic.In fact,The slip tectonic belt formed by clockwise rotation and north-directed subduction-collision of the Yangtze Block in Late Triassic-Jurassic.The strike-slip faults that developed within the belt also formed at this time.CHEN Hong HU JianMin QU HongJie WU GuoLi 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,11:2

9Technologies and practice of CO2 flooding and sequestration in China显示文摘The latest advancement of CO2 flooding and sequestration theory and technology in China is systematically described, and the future development direction is put forward. Based on the geological characteristics of continental reservoirs, five theories and key technologies have been developed:(1) Enriched the understandings about the mass transfer characteristics of components between CO2 and crude oil in continental reservoirs, micro-flooding mechanism and sequestration mechanism of different geological bodies.(2) Established the design method of reservoir engineering parameters, injection-production control technology and development effect evaluation technology of CO2 flooding, etc.(3) Developed a series of production engineering technologies such as separated layer CO2 injection technology, high efficiency lifting technology, on-line wellbore corrosion monitoring and protection technology.(4) Innovated a series of surface engineering technology including CO2 capture technology, pipeline CO2 transportation, CO2 surface injection, and production gas circulation injection, etc.(5) Formed a series of supporting technologies including monitoring, and safety and environmental protection evaluation of CO2 flooding reservoir. On this basis, the technological development directions in the future have been put forward:(1) Breakthrough in low-cost CO2 capture technology to provide cheap CO2 gas source;(2) Improve the miscibility technology between CO2 and crude oil to enhance oil displacement efficiency;(3) Improve CO2 sweeping volume;(4) Develop more effective lifting tools and technologies;(5) Strengthen the research of basic theory and key technology of CO2 storage monitoring. 13Overexpression of mechanical sensitive miR-337-3p alleviates ectopic ossification in rat tendinopathy model via targeting IRS1 and Nox4 of tendon-derived stem cells显示文摘Tendinopathy,which is characterized by the ectopic ossification of tendon,is a common disease occurring in certain population,such as athletes that suffer from repetitive tendon strains.However,the molecular mechanism underlying the pathogenesis of tendinopathy caused by the overuse of tendon is still lacking.Here,we found that the mechanosensitive miRNA,miR-337-3p,had lower expression under uniaxial cyclical mechanical loading in tendon-derived stem cells(TDSCs)and negatively controlled chondro-osteogenic differentiation of TDSCs.Importantly,downregulation of miR-337-3p expression was also observed in both rat and human calcified tendons,and overexpressing miR-337-3p in patellar tendons of rat tendinopathy model displayed a robust therapeutic efficiency.Mechanistically,we found that the proinflammatory cytokine interleukin-1^was the upstream factor of miR-337-3p that bridges the mechanical loading with its downregulation.Furthermore,the target genes of miR-337-3p,NADPH oxidase 4,and insulin receptor substrate 1,activated chondro-osteogenic differentiation of TDSCs through JNK and ERK signaling,respectively.Thus,these findings not only provide novel insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying ectopic ossification in tendinopathy but also highlight the significance of miR-337-3p as a putative therapeutic target for clinic treatment of tendinopathy.Yiyun Geng Xiaoying Zhao Jiajia Xu Xudong Zhang Guoli Hu Sai-Chuen Fu Kerong Dai Xiaodong Chen Yung shu-huang Patrick Xiaoling Zhang 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,4:0
14Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 15Application of silk fibroin coatings for biomaterial surface modification:a silk road for biomedicine显示文摘Silk fibroin(SF)as a natural biopolymer has become a popular material for biomedical applications due to its minimal immunogenicity,tunable biodegradability,and high biocompatibility.Nowadays,various techniques have been developed for the applications of SF in bioengineering.Most of the literature reviews focus on the SF-based biomaterials and their different forms of applications such as films,hydrogels,and scaffolds.SF is also valuable as a coating on other substrate materials for biomedicine;however,there are few reviews related to SF-coated biomaterials.Thus,in this review,we focused on the surface modification of biomaterials using SF coatings,demonstrated their various preparation methods on substrate materials,and introduced the latest procedures.The diverse applications of SF coatings for biomedicine are discussed,including bone,ligament,skin,mucosa,and nerve regeneration,and dental implant surface modification.SF coating is conducive to inducing cell adhesion and migration,promoting hydroxyapatite(HA)deposition and matrix mineralization,and inhibiting the Notch signaling pathway,making it a promising strategy for bone regeneration.In addition,SF-coated composite scaffolds can be considered prospective candidates for ligament regeneration after injury.SF coating has been proven to enhance the mechanical properties of the substrate material,and render integral stability to the dressing material during the regeneration of skin and mucosa.Moreover,SF coating is a potential strategy to accelerate nerve regeneration due to its dielectric properties,mechanical flexibility,and angiogenesis promotion effect.In addition,SF coating is an effective and popular means for dental implant surface modification to promote osteogenesis around implants made of different materials.Thus,this review can be of great benefit for further improvements in SF-coated biomaterials,and will undoubtedly contribute to clinical transformation in the future.Jinxing HU Zhiwei JIANG Jing ZHANG Guoli YANG 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2023,24,11:0
16Screening and Assessing 11 Mycobacterium tuberculosis Proteins as Potential Serodiagnostical Markers for Discriminating TB Patients from BCG Vaccinees显示文摘Purified protein derivative (PPD) skin tests often yield poor specificity, so that to develop new serological antigens for distinguishing between Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and Bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination is a priority, especially for developing countries like China. We predicted the antigenicity for selected open reading frames (ORFs) based on the genome sequences of M. tuberculosis H37Rv and M. bovis BCG, as well as their functions and differences of expression under different stimulus. The candidate ORFs were cloned from H37Rv sequences and expressed as recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli. We studied the serodiagnostic potential of 11 purified recombinants by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and involving a cohort composed of 58 TB patients (34 males and 24 females), 8 healthy volunteers and 50 PPD-negative individuals before and after BCG vaccination. For all the 11 antigens, the median OD values for the sera from TB patients were statistically significantly higher than those for PPD-negative individuals before or after BCG vaccination (P<0.01). They had at least 92% specificity in healthy controls and six seroantigens (Rv0251c, Rv1973, Rv2376c, Rv2537c, Rv2785c and Rv3873A) were never reported with seroantigenicities previously. 17Human-pose estimation based on weak supervision显示文摘Background In computer vision,simultaneously estimating human pose,shape,and clothing is a practical issue in real life,but remains a challenging task owing to the variety of clothing,complexity of de-formation,shortage of large-scale datasets,and difficulty in estimating clothing style.Methods We propose a multistage weakly supervised method that makes full use of data with less labeled information for learning to estimate human body shape,pose,and clothing deformation.In the first stage,the SMPL human-body model parameters were regressed using the multi-view 2D key points of the human body.Using multi-view information as weakly supervised information can avoid the deep ambiguity problem of a single view,obtain a more accurate human posture,and access supervisory information easily.In the second stage,clothing is represented by a PCA-based model that uses two-dimensional key points of clothing as supervised information to regress the parameters.In the third stage,we predefine an embedding graph for each type of clothing to describe the deformation.Then,the mask information of the clothing is used to further adjust the deformation of the clothing.To facilitate training,we constructed a multi-view synthetic dataset that included BCNet and SURREAL.Results The Experiments show that the accuracy of our method reaches the same level as that of SOTA methods using strong supervision information while only using weakly supervised information.Because this study uses only weakly supervised information,which is much easier to obtain,it has the advantage of utilizing existing data as training data.Experiments on the DeepFashion2 dataset show that our method can make full use of the existing weak supervision information for fine-tuning on a dataset with little supervision information,compared with the strong supervision information that cannot be trained or adjusted owing to the lack of exact annotation information.Conclusions Our weak supervision method can accurately estimate human body size,pose,and several common types of clothing and overcome the issues of the current shortage of clothing data.Xiaoyan HU Xizhao BAO Guoli WEI Zhaoyu LI 2023Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2023,5,4:0
