| 1 | Mechanisms of Solidification Structure Improvement of Ultra Pure 17 wt% Cr Ferritic Stainless Steel by Ti,Nb Addition显示文摘The grain structures and the precipitates in the solidification microstructure of the ultra pure 17 wt% Cr ferritic stainless steels with different Ti and/or Nb micro-alloying were investigated both experimentally and theoretically.It was found by the grain structure observation that the addition of Ti or Nb to the steel reduced the grain size (D) and elongation factor (E),and improved the equiaxed grain proportion (P) and globularity factor (ξ).Among the four steels studied,the minimum grain size and maximum equiaxed grain proportion were obtained by jointly adding both Ti and Nb to the steel.The SEM observation indicated that several kinds of precipitations,such as TiN,MC (rich in Nb),Laves phase (Fe2Nb) and so on,formed in the corresponding steels.In addition,the results calculated using the Thermo-Calc software illustrated that TiN precipitates in the liquid at proper Ti and N contents.Meanwhile,the solidification interval (△T) was enlarged by the addition of Ti or Nb,and the effectiveness of Nb was stronger than Ti.Based on the experimental and calculation results,the mechanisms of grain refinement and increment in equiaxed grain proportion were discussed. | Yating Shan Xinghong Luo Xiaoqiang Hu Shi Liu | 2011 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2011,27,4: | 7 |
| 2 | Numerical study of three phase shifts and dual corrugation pitch modulated(CPM) DFB semiconductor lasers based on reconstruction equivalent chirp technology显示文摘A distributed feedback(DFB) semiconductor laser with three phase shifts based on reconstruction equivalent chirp(REC) technology is proposed and investigated numerically.With the combination of multiple phase shifts and corrugation pitch modulated(CPM) structure,we also propose a novel and more complex structure named dual CPM,which has a flatter light power distribution along the laser cavity compared with the true double phase shifts DFB laser diode(LD),while the P-I curves are nearly the same.The proposed dual CPM structure is also designed and analyzed based on REC technology.The simulation results show that,the DFB semiconductor laser with complex structure such as phase shifts,or even arbitrary variation of the grating period can be achieved equivalently and easily by changing the sampling structure.But its external characteristics are almost the same as those DFB lasers with true phase shifts,or true arbitrary variation of the grating period.The key advantage of the REC technology is that it varies only the sampling structure and keeps the seed grating(actual grating in sampling structure) period constant.So its fabrication needs only low-cost and standard holographic exposure technology.Therefore we believe this method can achieve the high-end and low-cost DFB LD for mass production. | SHI YueChun TU XingHua LI SiMin ZHOU YaTing JIA LingHui CHEN XiangFei | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35: | 4 |

| 5 | Antibacterial Effects of Chinese Herbal Medicines against Streptococcus iniae in Oreochromis niloticus显示文摘In this study,the antibacterial effects of Chinese herbal medicines against Streptococcus iniae in Oreochromis niloticus were investigated by drug sensitivity test. The results indicated that Streptococcus iniae was extremely sensitive to Galla Chinensis,Fructus Hippophae and Fructus Mume,highly sensitive to Sappan Lignum,Pericarpium Granati,Folium Eucalypti and Radix Scutellariae,moderately sensitive to Rhizoma Coptidis,Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,Flos Caryophyllata,Cortex phellodendri and Rabdosia serra( Maxim.) Hara,and insensitive to Herba Portulacae,Herba Houttuyniae,Polygonum hydropiper L.,Herba Menthae,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae,Herba Andrographitis and Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii. Chinese medicinal herbs which Streptococcus iniae was extremely sensitive or moderately sensitive to were selected and prepared into three Chinese herbal medicine formulae for medicated bath of Oreochromis niloticus infected artificially with Streptococcus iniae. The results showed that medicated bath elicited therapeutic effects on infected Oreochromis niloticus. | 6 | Reagent elution combined with positive pressure filtration:A zero-discharge method for cyanide tailings remediation显示文摘At present, the cyanide gold extraction process is still the main technology for gold production. Generated cyanide tailings containing highly toxic substances exhibit potential environmental risks. These tailings are in urgent need of purification treatment, especially after being classified as hazardous waste. In this study, the impacts of elution methods, operating time, tailings/water ratios, reagent types on the elution rates of cyanide were investigated. Furthermore, the composite elution method developed in this research was extended for engineering. Results showed that the optimum elution conditions were determined to be: stirring elution, tailings/water ratio( M/V;1:1) and operating time(10-20 min). Besides, 4 reagents(sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate, cyclodextrin, sodium silicate and calcium hydroxide) were selected from four categories of 21 reagents for further composite elution. The cyanide elution rate was the highest(90.7% ±0.1%) while the molar ratio of these 4 reagents was 5:2:2:1. Moreover, the combination of reagent elution and positive pressure filtration improved the elution efficiency of cyanide(92.6% ±0.8%). And the cyanide content in the toxic leaching solution was lower than the standard value(5.0 mg/L). Furthermore, the composite elution method developed in this study was also extended for engineering. The concentration of cyanide in the leachate was < 5.0 mg/L, and was stable during 189 days of detection. Notably, the effluent can be reused directly, or reused after further treatment. The zero discharge of effluents and solid wastes was realized in the processes. | 9 | Magnesium ion-implantation-based gallium nitride p-i-n photodiode for visible-blind ultraviolet detection显示文摘In this work, a GaN p-i-n diode based on Mg ion implantation for visible-blind UV detection is demonstrated.With an optimized implantation and annealing process, a p-GaN layer and corresponding GaN p-i-n photodiode are achieved via Mg implantation. As revealed in the UV detection characterizations, these diodes exhibit a sharp wavelength cutoff at 365 nm, high UV/visible rejection ratio of 1.2 × 10~4, and high photoresponsivity of 0.35 A/W, and are proved to be comparable with commercially available GaN p-n photodiodes. Additionally, a localized states-related gain mechanism is systematically investigated, and a relevant physics model of electricfield-assisted photocarrier hopping is proposed. | 10 | The deubiquitylase UCHL3 maintains cancer stem-like properties by stabilizing the aryl hydrocarbon receptor显示文摘Cancer stem cells(CSCs)exhibit highly aggressive and metastatic features and resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy.Aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)expression varies among non-small cell lung cancers(NSCLCs),and the mechanisms that support abnormal AhR expression in CSCs remain elusive.Here,we identified ubiquitin carboxyl terminal hydrolase L3(UCHL3),a DUB enzyme in the UCH protease family,as a bona fide deubiquitylase of the AhR in NSCLC.UCHL3 was shown to interact with,deubiquitylate,and stabilize AhR in a manner dependent on its deubiquitylation activity.Moreover,we showed that UCHL3 promotes the stem-like characteristics and potent tumorigenic capacity of NSCLC cells.UCHL3 increased AhR stability and the binding of AhR to the promoter regions of the“stemness”genes ATP-binding cassette subfamily G member 2(ABCG2),KLF4,and c-Myc.Depletion of UCHL3 markedly downregulated the“stemness”genes ABCG2,KLF4,and c-Myc,leading to the loss of selfrenewal and tumorigenesis in NSCLCs.Furthermore,the UCHL3 inhibitor TCID induced AhR degradation and exhibited significantly attenuated efficacy in NSCLC cells with stem cell-like properties.Additionally,UCHL3 was shown to indicate poor prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma.In general,our results reveal that the UCHL3 deubiquitylase is pivotal for AhR protein stability and a potential target for NSCLC-targeted therapy. | Lianlian Ouyang Bin Yan Yating Liu Chao Mao Min Wang Na Liu Zuli Wang Shouping Liu Ying Shi Ling Chen Xiang Wang Yan Cheng Ya Cao Desheng Xiao Lingqiang Zhang Shuang Liu Yongguang Tao | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Thermal stability of Te nanowires and their crystallographydetermined surface evolution at elevated temperatures显示文摘Nanowires are fantastic nanostructures for designing new functional devices because of their extraordinary properties.However,nanowires usually suffer pronounced size and surface effects with decreasing diameter size.Whether their structure and thermal stability can still fill the requirements of practical applications is a critical issue to be figured out.Herein,Te nanowires with diameters ranging from sub-10 to over 80 nm are used as samples to probe into this issue.In situ heating experiments are performed on these Te nanowires using an aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy combined with a chip-based heating holder.It is found that Te nanowires suffer sublimation at elevated temperatures rather than melting,showing sizedependent sublimation scenarios.The Te nanowires with diameter smaller than 20 nm sublimate below 205℃,while the larger ones with diameter around 85 nm require a higher temperature of around 225℃.During sublimation-induced shape evolution,the interfacial wetting equilibrium and crystal orientations play critical roles,leading to the formation of spherical surfaces or featured facets at the free surfaces.A mean contact angle of 107.5°is determined at the C-Te interface when the crystalline Te nanowires stay in a quasi-liquid equilibrium state.However,once the crystalline feature is overwhelming,e.g.,at moderate temperatures,the(1011),(1120),and(1010)facets govern the free surface,despite the wetting condition at the interfaces. | Lei Shangguan Yating Ran Ziyu Lu Yutian Gao Lei Shi Longbing He Litao Sun | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |

| 16 | A unified model of cusp spot, High Latitude Dayside aurora (HiLDA)/(Space Hurricane), and 15MLT-PCA显示文摘Cusp spot,High Latitude Dayside aurora(HiLDA),‘space hurricane’,and 15MLT-PCA(Polar Cap Arc observed around 15:00 Magnetic Local Time)are mesoscale auroral structures observed in the polar cap region.They share many common properties and,at the same time,have notable differences.A 15MLT-PCA is a polar cap arc connected to the auroral oval,but the others are auroral spots detached from the oval.A cusp spot differs from a HiLDA in local time location.A space hurricane differs from a HiLDA in having spiral-arm structures.Until now,relationships among these auroras have not been depicted clearly.Here we propose a unified model,based on lobe reconnection,that encompasses their similarities and differences.We then provide critical supporting evidence for the model.The model suggests that different reconnection sites under different IMF conditions result in these differently-appearing auroral forms.The model explains all the characteristic features of these auroras and has implications for understanding the dawn/dusk and inter-hemispheric asymmetries observed in their occurrence patterns.We anticipate confirmation of the model by observations to be made during the Solar wind-Magnetosphere-Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission.Moreover,since the model indicates that these auroras appear on the footprint of the poleward cusp boundary,we expect data from the SMILE mission to make it possible to estimate the approximate shape of the cusp. | DeSheng Han YaTing Xiong Run Shi HuiXuan Qiu HuiTing Feng | 2023 | Earth and Planetary Physics2023,7,4: | 0 |

| 20 | Largeπ-conjugated indium-based metal-organic frameworks for high‐performance electrochemical conversion of CO_(2)显示文摘The active site engineering of electrocatalysts,as one of the most economical and technological approaches,is a promising strategy to enhance the intrinsic activity and selectivity towards electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction.Herein,an indium-based porphyrin framework(In-TCPP)with a well-defined structure,highly dispersed catalytic center,and good stability was constructed for efficient CO_(2)-to-formate conversion.In-TCPP could achieve a high Faraday efficiency for formate(90%)and a cathodic energy efficiency of 63.8%in flow cells.In situ attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and density functional theory calculation confirm that the crucial intermediate is*COOH species which contributes to the formation of formate.This work is expected to provide novel insights into the precise design of active sites for high-performance electrocatalysts towards electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction. | Zengqiang Gao Yue Gong Yating Zhu Junjie Li Li Li Yongxia Shi Man Hou Xuejiao J.Gao Zhicheng Zhang Wenping Hu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
