1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 3Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 4Synthesis and Optimization of TiO_2/Graphene with Exposed {001} Facets Based on Response Surface Methodology and Evaluation of Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Response surface methodology(RSM) was employed to optimize the control parameters of TiO_2/graphene with exposed {001} facets during synthesis, and its enhanced photocatalytic activities were evaluated in the photodegradation of toluene. Experimental results were in good agreement with the predicted results obtained using RSM with a correlation coefficient(R^2) of 0.9345. When 22.06 mg of graphite oxide(GO) and 2.09 mL of hydrofluoric acid(HF) were added and a hydrothermal time of 28 h was used, a maximum efficiency in the degradation of toluene was achieved. X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) were employed to characterize the obtained hybrid photocatalyst. 5Use of donor-specific red blood cell transfusions for patients undergoing liver transplantation during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Background:Increased risks have been found for patients undergoing liver transplantation due to the blood supply shortage following the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.Hence,exploring a method to alleviate this dilemma is urgent.This phase I,nonrandomized,prospective trial aimed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of using donor-specific red blood cell transfusion(DRBCT)as an urgent measurement to alleviate the blood supply shortage in deceased donor liver transplantation(DDLT).Methods:The outcomes of 26 patients who received DRBCT and 37 patients in the control group who only received 3rd party packed red blood cells(pRBCs)transfusion between May 2020 and January 2021 were compared.Results:Patients receiving DRBCT did not develop transfusion-related complications,and the incidence of postoperative infection was similar to that in the control group(23.1%vs.18.9%,P=0.688).Because the patients received the red blood cells from organ donors,the median volume of intraoperative allogeneic red blood cell transfusion from blood bank was 4.0 U(IQR 1.1-8.0 U)in the DRBCT group,which is significantly lower than that(7.5 U,IQR 4.0-10.0 U)in the control group(P=0.018).The peak aspartate aminotransferase(AST)level was significantly lower in the DRBCT group than in the control group(P=0.008)and so were the AST levels in the first two days after the operation(P=0.006 and P=0.033).Conclusions:DRBCT is a safe and effective procedure to lower the need for blood supply and is associated with a reduction in AST levels after transplantation.DRBCT is beneficial to patients receiving life-saving transplantation without sufficient blood supply during the COVID-19 pandemic.Tao Lv Xi Xu Jiulin Song Yifei Tan Li Jiang Jian Yang Diao He Lingxiang Kong Weiyi Zhang Panyu Chen Qiwen Xiang Tao Zhu Hong Wu Tianfu Wen Jiayin Yang 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4:2
6A ROS-responsive,self-immolative and self-reporting hydrogen sulfide donor with multiple biological activities for the treatment of myocardial infarction显示文摘Myocardial infarction(MI),as one of the leading causes of global death,urgently needs effective therapies.Recently,hydrogen sulfide(H2S)has been regarded as a promising therapeutic agent for MI,while its spatiotemporally controlled delivery remains a major issue limiting clinical translation.To address this limitation,we designed and synthesized a novel H2S donor(HSD-R)that can produce H2S and emit fluorescence in response to reactive oxygen species(ROS)highly expressed at diseased sites.HSD-R can specifically target mitochondria and provide red fluorescence to visualize and quantify H2S release in vitro and in vivo.Therapeutically,HSD-R significantly promoted the reconstruction of cardiac structure and function in a rat MI model.Mechanistically,myocardial protection is achieved by reducing cardiomyocyte apoptosis,attenuating local inflammation,and promoting angiogenesis.Furthermore,inhibition of typical pro-apoptotic genes(Bid,Apaf-1,and p53)played an important role in the anti-apoptotic effect of HSD-R to achieve cardioprotection,which were identified as new therapeutic targets of H2S against myocardial ischemia injury.This ROS-responsive,self-immolative,and fluorescent H2S donor can serve as a new theranostic agent for MI and other ischemic diseases.Mengyun Yao Yifei Lu Lin Shi Yong Huang Qing Zhang Jianglin Tan Ping Hu Jianxiang Zhang Gaoxing Luo Ning Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:2
7Study of 2-Propanol Photocatalytic Degradation on Surface of Phase-Ratio-Controlled TiO_2 Nanoparticles显示文摘The crystal form of TiO_2 is a crucial focus of research on the photocatalytic degradation of gaseous pollutants by TiO_2-based composite photocatalysts. To explore the synergistic effect of mixed crystalline TiO_2 on gaseous organic-pollutant photocatalytic degradation, we synthesized a series of TiO_2 nanoparticles with controllable phase ratios. We explored the role of the TiO_2 phase ratio on the photocatalytic activity and degradation pathway in the photodegradation of 2-propanol(IPA). We estimated the crystallite size and crystal proportions of anatase and rutile by X-ray diffraction. We used the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method to calculate the specific surface area and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to characterize the surface chemistry of the samples. Our results show the photocatalytic activities of pure anatase and the sample with 8.6% rutile to be much better than those of the samples with a phase junction and pure rutile. 8Quasi-Spherical Brookite TiO_2 Nanostructures Synthesized Using Solvothermal Method in the Presence of Oxalic Acid显示文摘Brookite TiO_2,the latest TiO_2 photocatalyst,promises to be an interesting candidate for photocatalytic applications because of its unique physical and chemical properties. In this study,pure-phase brookite TiO_2 with a quasi-spherical nanostructure was successfully synthesized via a solvothermal method using tetrabutyl titanate(Ti(OC_4H_9)_4,TBOT) as the Ti source in the presence of oxalic acid. NaOH was used to regulate the pH of solution. The structure and morphology of the samples were then analyzed using multiple methods,such as X-ray diff raction(XRD),Raman spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET) measurements and ultraviolet–visible diff use spectroscopy(UV–Vis). Photocatalytic activities of the as-synthesized brookite TiO_2 were evaluated by degrading aqueous methylene blue solution under UV light irradiation. The effect of thermal treatment temperature on photocatalytic activity of the samples was also investigated. The produced brookite TiO_2 nanopowders calcined at 500 °C for 2 h showed the highest photocatalytic activity,and the corresponding degradation rate of methylene blue(10 mg/L) reached 96.7% after 90 min of illumination. In addition,the formation mechanism of pure-phase brookite TiO_2 was investigated. 9Optical control of transverse motion of ionization injected electrons in a laser plasma accelerator显示文摘We demonstrate an all-optical method for controlling the transverse motion of an ionization injected electron beam in a laser plasma accelerator by using the transversely asymmetrical plasma wakefield. The laser focus shape can control the distribution of a transversal wakefield. When the laser focus shape is changed from circular to slanted elliptical in the experiment, the electron beam profiles change from an ellipse to three typical shapes. The three-dimensional particlein-cell simulation result agrees well with the experiment, and it shows that the trajectories of these accelerated electrons change from undulating to helical. 11Characteristics of Xiao Chai Hu decoction based on randomized controlled trials: A bibliometric analysis显示文摘Objective:To explore the characteristics of Xiao Chai Hu(XCH)decoction in randomized controlled trials(RCTs)using a bibliometric method.Methods:Seven databases including PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,Cochrane library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Chinese Scientific Journal Database(VIP)and Wanfang database were retrieved from inception to May 27,2022.In the study,XCH decoction(or modified)used alone or combined with conventional Western medicine as an intervention measure was included.The basic characteristics,funding support,relevant diseases,intervention methods,and adverse events(AEs)were analyzed.Data analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 software.Results:A total of 813 RCTs were included,published from 1989 to 2022.There was only one Englishlanguage literature with the recent impact factor of 5.374.There were 147 studies were from Chineselanguage core journals,with the highest impact factor of 2.414.Only 6.15%of the literatures mentioned funding support.96.31%of the included literature reported the statistical significance of using XCH decoction.The diseases treated mainly included chronic hepatitis B(9.35%),cough variant asthma(5.66%),dizziness(5.54%),bile reflux gastritis(4.43%),and fever(4.18%).However,the overall research design of the included literature was poor,and large sample size,multicenter RCTs are needed.The incidence of AEs of XCH decoction alone was 8.86%,which was significantly lower than that of conventional Western medicine treatment.The combination of XCH decoction and conventional Western medicine treatment could reduce the incidence of AEs,and no serious adverse event was reported.Conclusion:Although the included studies show that XCH decoction is widely used,and has good efficacy and few AEs.Due to the low quality of the included RCTs,there may be some bias,and its rational use based on the specific conditions is recommended in clinical practice.Zhongyi Pan Mei Han Yifei Zhang Tianzhe Liu Lijun Zhou Daiying Tan Qi Wang Zhe Liu Yanling Fu 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,1:0
12Collimated gamma rays from laser wakefield accelerated electrons显示文摘Betatron radiation from laser wakefield accelerated electrons and X-rays scattered off a counter-propagating relativistic electron bunch arecollimated and hold the potential to extend the energy range to hard X-ray or gamma ray band. The peak brightness of these incoherent radiations could reach the level of the brightest synchrotron light sources in the world due to their femtosecond pulse duration and source sizedown to a few micrometers. In this article, the principle and properties of these radiation sources are briefly reviewed and compared. Then wepresent our recent progress in betatron radiation enhancement in the perspective of both photon energy and photon number. The enhancement istriggered by using a clustering gas target, arousing a second injection of a fiercely oscillating electron bunch with large charge or stimulating aresonantly enhanced oscillation of the ionization injected electrons. 13Transplantation of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for repair of neurological damage in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy显示文摘Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is often associated with permanent cerebral palsy,neurosensory impairments,and cognitive deficits,and there is no effective treatment for complications related to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.The therapeutic potential of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for various diseases has been explored.However,the potential use of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy has not yet been investigated.In this study,we injected human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle of a neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy rat model and observed significant improvements in both cognitive and motor function.Protein chip analysis showed that interleukin-3 expression was significantly elevated in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy model rats.Following transplantation of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells,interleukin-3 expression was downregulated.To further investigate the role of interleukin-3 in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy,we established an in vitro SH-SY5Y cell model of hypoxic-ischemic injury through oxygen-glucose deprivation and silenced interleukin-3 expression using small interfering RNA.We found that the activity and proliferation of SH-SY5Y cells subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation were further suppressed by interleukin-3 knockdown.Furthermore,interleukin-3 knockout exacerbated neuronal damage and cognitive and motor function impairment in rat models of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.The findings suggest that transplantation of hpcMSCs ameliorated behavioral impairments in a rat model of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy,and this effect was mediated by interleukin-3-dependent neurological function.Lulu Xue Ruolan Du Ning Bi Qiuxia Xiao Yifei Sun Ruize Niu Yaxin Tan Li Chen Jia Liu Tinghua Wang Liulin Xiong 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,9:0
14An Indoor Environment Sensing and Localization System via mmWave Phased Array显示文摘In this paper,an indoor layout sensing and localization system with testbed in the 60-GHz millimeter wave(mmWave)band,named mmReality,is elaborated.The mmReality system consists of one transmitter and one mobile receiver,both with a phased array and a single radio frequency(RF)chain.To reconstruct the room layout,the pilot signal is delivered from the transmitter to the receiver via different pairs of transmission and receiving beams,so that multipath signals in all directions can be captured.Then spatial smoothing and the two-dimensional multiple signal classification(MUSIC)algorithm are applied to detect the angle-of-departures(AoDs)and angle-of-arrivals(AoAs)of propagation paths.Moreover,the technique of multi-carrier ranging is adopted to measure the path lengths.Therefore,with the measurements of the receiver in different locations of the room,the receiver and virtual transmitters can be pinpointed to reconstruct the room layout.Experiments show that the reconstructed room layout can be utilized to localize a mobile device via the AoA spectrum.Yifei Sun Jie Li Tong Zhang Rui Wang Xiaohui Peng Xiao Han Haisheng Tan 2022Journal of Communications and Information Networks2022,7,4:0
15Towards a next-generation production system for industrial robots: A CPS-based hybrid architecture for smart assembly shop floors with closed-loop dynamic cyber physical interactions显示文摘Given the multiple varieties and small batches,the production of industrial robots faces the ongoing challenges of flexibility,self-organization,self-configuration,and other“smart”requirements.Recently,cyber physical systems have provided a promising solution for the requirements mentioned above.Despite recent progress,some critical issues have not been fully addressed at the shop floor level,including dynamic reorganization and reconfiguration,ubiquitous networking,and time constrained computing.Toward the next generation production system for industrial robots,this study proposed a hybrid architecture for smart assembly shop floors with closed-loop dynamic cyber physical interactions.Aiming for dynamic reorganization and reconfiguration,the study also proposed modularized smart assembly units for the deployment of physical assembly processes.Enabling technologies,such as multiagent system(MAS),self-organized wireless sensor actuator networks,and edge computing,were discussed and then integrated into the proposed architecture.Furthermore,a multijoint robot assembly process was selected as a target scenario.Thus,an MAS was developed to simulate the coordination and negotiation mechanisms for the proposed architecture on the basis of the Java Agent Development Framework platform.Qingmeng TAN Yifei TONG Shaofeng WU Dongbo LI 2020Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,1:0

17A Gold Nanoparticle‑enhanced Surface Plasmon Resonance Aptasensor for the Detection of 2,4,6‑trinitrotoluene显示文摘A gold nanoparticle‑enhanced surface plasmon resonance(SPR)aptasensor was developed for high‑specificity and high‑sensitivity detection of 2,4,6‑trinitrotoluene(TNT).Self‑assembly film‑forming technology was used to modify the gold surface of the sensor chip with 2,4,6‑trinitrophenyl glycine,a TNT analogue,using polyethylene glycol to which the thiol group and carboxyl group are attached.Aptamer‑gold nanoparticle complexes were formed through Au‑S bonding.To detect TNT,the samples were incubated with the aptamer‑gold nanoparticle complexes,and the solution competition method was applied through the SPR aptasensor.The results showed that the SPR aptasensor achieved fast,real‑time detection of TNT.This gold nanoparticle‑enhanced SPR aptasensor is suitable for TNT detection in the field of public safety and environmental monitoring.Junpeng Tan Bin Hao Chuo Wang Yifei Ren Hongxia Hao Ruiqin Yang 2016Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2016,2,4:0
