1SIDT1-dependent absorption in the stomach mediates host uptake of dietary and orally administered microRNAs显示文摘Dietary microRNAs have been shown to be absorbed by mammals and regulate host gene expression,but the absorption mechanism remains unknown.Here,we show that SIDT1 expressed on gastric pit cells in the stomach is required for the absorption of dietary microRNAs.SIDT1-deficient mice show reduced basal levels and impaired dynamic absorption of dietary microRNAs.Notably,we identified the stomach as the primary site for dietary microRNA absorption,which is dramatically attenuated in the stomachs of SIDT1-deficient mice.Mechanistic analyses revealed that the uptake of exogenous microRNAs by gastric pit cells is SIDT1 and low-pH dependent.Furthermore,oral administration of plant-derived miR2911 retards liver fibrosis,and this protective effect was abolished in SIDT1-deficient mice.Our findings reveal a major mechanism underlying the absorption of dietary microRNAs,uncover an unexpected role of the stomach and shed light on developing small RNA therapeutics by oral delivery.Qun Chen Fan Zhang Lei Dong Huimin Wu Jie Xu Hanqin Li Jin Wang Zhen Zhou Chunyan Liu Yanbo Wang Yuyan Liu Liangsheng Lu Chen Wang Minghui Liu Xi Chen Cheng Wang Chunni Zhang Dangsheng Li Ke Zen Fangyu Wang Qipeng Zhang Chen-Yu Zhang 2021Cell Research2021,31,3:10

3High-throughput Sequencing Reveals vsiRNAs Derived from Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus-infected Watermelon显示文摘Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus(CGMMV) is a member of the genus Tobamovirus, and is a serious pathogen of Cucurbitaceae crops. Virusderived small interfering RNAs(vsi RNAs), which are processed by Dicer-like and Argonaute proteins as well as RNA-dependent RNA polymerase,mediate the silencing of viral genomic RNA and host transcripts. To identify the CGMMV derived vsi RNAs and reveal interactions between CGMMV and watermelon host plant, deep sequencing technology was used to identify and characterize the vsi RNAs derived from CGMMV in infected watermelon plants in present study. A total of 10 801 368 vsi RNA reads representing 71 583 unique s RNAs were predicted in CGMMVinoculated watermelon plants. The CGMMV vsi RNAs were mostly 21 or 22 nt long. The majority of the CGMMV vsi RNAs(i.e., 91.7%) originated from the viral sense strand. Additionally, uracil was the predominant 5′-terminal base of vsi RNAs. Furthermore, the putative targets and functions of some of the CGMMV vsi RNAs were predicted and investigated. 4Intra-abdominal aortic balloon occlusion in the management of placenta percreta显示文摘Background:Massive bleeding is the main concern for the management of placenta percreta(PP).Intra-abdominal aortic balloon occlusion(IABO)is one method for pelvic devascularization,but the efficacy of IABO is uncertain.This study aims to investigate the outcomes of IABO in PP patients.Methods:We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of PP cases from six tertiary centers in China between January 2011 and December 2015.PP cases with/without the use of IABO were analyzed.Propensity score matching analysis was performed to reduce the effect of selection bias.Postpartum hemorrhage(PPH)and the rate of hysterectomy,as well as neonatal outcomes,were analyzed.Results:One hundred and thirty-two matched pairs of patients were included in the final analysis.Compared with the control group,maternal outcomes,including PPH(68.9%vs.87.9%,χ^(2)=13.984,P<0.001),hysterectomy(8.3%vs.65.2%,χ^(2)=91.672,P<0.001),and repeated surgery(1.5%vs.12.1%,χ^(2)=11.686,P=0.001)were significantly reduced in the IABO group.For neonatal outcomes,Apgar scores at 1 minute(8.67±1.79vs.8.53±1.68,t=-0.638,P=0.947)and 5 minutes(9.43±1.55vs.9.53±1.26,t=0.566,P=0.293)were not significantly different between the two groups.Conclusions:IABO can significantly reduce blood loss,hysterectomies,and repeated surgeries.This procedure has not shown harmful effects on neonatal outcomes.Weiran Zheng Ruochong Dou Jie Yan Xinrui Yang Xianlan Zhao Dunjin Chen Yuyan Ma Weishe Zhang Yiling Ding Ling Fan Huixia Yang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,4:2

7The law of oral traditional Chinese medicine for insomnia based on Chinese medical code显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to collect,sort out and excavate the literature on the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia in Chinese Medical Code,and to explore the law of internal administration of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of insomnia.Methods:We used'Chinese Medical Code'as the source of data retrieval,'insomnia','not sleepy','no sleeping'and'eye not sleeping'as the key words,and excluded temporary insomnia,physiological insomnia,insomnia caused by other diseases,and excluded other methods such as acupuncture and massage,the medical cases.Prescriptions of insomnia treated with traditional Chinese medicine were screened out.The database was established by using Microsoft excel 2010.Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the frequency,menstruation of nature,taste and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine.We analyzed the association rules between drugs and mined the rules of prescriptions by the Apriori algorithm in SPSS Modeler 14.1.Results:A total of 147 prescriptions,138 traditional Chinese medicines,20 pairs of core drugs,57 common drug combinations and 3 core pharmaceuticals were included.The basic prescription is:Suan Zao Ren,Bai Zi Ren,Fu Shen,Fu Ling,Yuan Zhi,Dang Gui,Gan Cao(Zhi).Conclusion:In summary,according to the drug analysis above,the main disease of insomnia is in the heart,involving the liver,spleen and kidney.Because it involves different viscera and syndrome,the methods of treatment are also different.However,there is a basic pathogenesis,that’s the loss of mental nourishment.By excavating the law of the use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of insomnia on the Chinese Medical Code,we expect that it can guide the treatment of insomnia.Yuyan Li Yihua Fan Jinxiang Mao Naijin Zhang Aikedai·Abulimiti Kai Zhong 2019Medical Data Mining2019,2,4:0
8Corrosion and Penetration Resistance of Corundum Bricks to High Phosphorus Oolitic Hematite Reducing Materials显示文摘The paper aims at investigating whether corundum bricks can be used for the bottom of the direct reduction furnace of high phosphorus oolitic hematite. The reducing materials including high phosphorus oolitic hematite,bitumite,Ca(OH)_2 and Na_2CO_3 at a mass ratio of 1 0. 15 0. 15 0. 03 were mixed and pressed into carbon containing cylindrical specimens with the size of Φ 15 mm× 20 mm. The specimens were placed on the corundum bricks and reduced in a high temperature tube furnace at 1 200 ℃ for 40,60,80,140 and 220 min,respectively. The corrosion and penetration resistance of corundum bricks to high phosphorus oolitic hematite reducing materials were analyzed with XRD,SEM and EDS. It shows that the reducing slag formed in the reduction process corrodes the surface of corundum bricks to form a product layer of anorthite and hercynite,retarding the further corrosion of the reducing slag; the reducing slag which has penetrated into the interior of the brick goes through the gaps between the particles and generates anorthite and hercynite,filling the gaps and hindering the reducing slag penetration.FAN Duncheng ZHANG Yuyan NI Wen 2017China's Refractories2017,26,3:0

10Smart Bionic Surfaces with Switchable Wettability and Applications显示文摘In order to satisfy the needs of different applications and more complex intelligent devices,smart control of surface wettability will be necessary and desirable,which gradually become a hot spot and focus in the field of interface wetting.Herein,we review interfacial wetting states related to switchable wettability on superwettable materials,including several classical wetting models and liquid adhesive behaviors based on the surface of natural creatures with special wettability.This review mainly focuses on the recent developments of the smart surfaces with switchable wettability and the corresponding regulatory mechanisms under external stimuli,which is mainly governed by the transformation of surface chemical composition and geometrical structures.Among that,various external stimuli such as physical stimulation(temperature,light,electric,magnetic,mechanical stress),chemical stimulation(pH,ion,solvent)and dual or multi-triggered stimulation have been sought out to realize the regulation of surface wettability.Moreover,we also summarize the applications of smart surfaces in different fields,such as oil/water separation,programmable transportation,anti-biofouling,detection and delivery,smart soft robotic etc.Furthermore,current limitations and future perspective in the development of smart wetting surfaces are also given.This review aims to offer deep insights into the recent developments and responsive mechanisms in smart biomimetic surfaces with switchable wettability under external various stimuli,so as to provide a guidance for the design of smart surfaces and expand the scope of both fundamental research and practical applications.Shuyi Li Yuyan Fan Yan Liu Shichao Niu Zhiwu Han Luquan Ren 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,3:0
11Chemokine Ligand 13 Expression is Abundant in the Tumor Microenvironment and Indicates Poor Prognosis of Kidney Clear Cell Carcinoma显示文摘The chemokine ligand 13-chemokine receptor 5(CXCL13-CXCR5)axis has been characterized as a critical tumor-promoting signaling pathway in the tumor microenvironment(TME)in multiple types of solid tumors.In this study,we analyzed the expression profile of CXCL13 in kidney clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)and its correlation with tumor-infiltrating immune cells(TIICs).A monoclonal antibody against CXCL13 with high affinity and purity was generated in our lab for western blot and immunohistochemistry(IHC).Bioinformatic analysis was performed based on bulk-seq data from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)-KIRC and single-cell RNA-seq data from scRNASeqDB and PanglaoDB.Results showed that high CXCL13 expression in TME was associated with shorter progression-free survival(PFS),disease-specific survival(DSS),and overall survival(OS).KIRC cell lines,as well as several other cancer cell lines,had negative CXCL13 expression.IHC staining from the Human Protein Atlas(HPA)and our tissue array indicated that CXCL13 might be mainly expressed by TIICs,but not KIRC tumor cells.CXCL13 expression was strongly and positively correlated withγδT cell abundance in TME.Besides,γδT cell infiltration was associated with poor survival of KIRC.Methylation 450k array data showed that CXCL13 promoter hypomethylation was common in TIICs.The methylation level of cg16361705 within the CXCL13 promoter might play an important role in modulating CXCL13 transcription.In conclusion,our study revealed that CXCL13 expression andγδT cell infiltration in TME is associated with unfavorable survival of KIRC.TIICs,most possiblyγδT cells,are the dominant source of CXCL13 in KIRC TME.MENGDAN WU MENGYAO SUN QINHUAI LAI YIN LU YUYIN FU YUJIA PENG WEIRONG LAI LISHI ZENG SHENGYAN ZHAO YUYAN LI ZHIXIONG ZHANG XIAOFENG CHEN FAN QIAO YIWEN ZHANG SHIJIE ZHOU LANTU GOU JINLIANG YANG 2021BIOCELL2021,45,3:0
12Adjuvant chemotherapy versus adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy after radical surgery for early-stage cervical cancer:a randomized,non-inferiority,multicenter trial显示文摘We conducted a prospective study to assess the non-inferiority of adjuvant chemotherapy alone versus adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) as an alternative strategy for patients with early-stage (FIGO 2009 stage IB–IIA) cervical cancer having risk factors after surgery. The condition was assessed in terms of prognosis, adverse effects, and quality of life. This randomized trial involved nine centers across China. Eligible patients were randomized to receive adjuvant chemotherapy or CCRT after surgery. The primary end-point was progression-free survival (PFS). From December 2012 to December 2014, 337 patients were subjected to randomization. Final analysis included 329 patients, including 165 in the adjuvant chemotherapy group and 164 in the adjuvant CCRT group. The median follow-up was 72.1 months. The three-year PFS rates were both 91.9%, and the five-year OS was 90.6% versus 90.0% in adjuvant chemotherapy and CCRT groups, respectively. No significant differences were observed in the PFS or OS between groups. The adjusted HR for PFS was 0.854 (95% confidence interval 0.415–1.757;P = 0.667) favoring adjuvant chemotherapy, excluding the predefined non-inferiority boundary of 1.9. The chemotherapy group showed a tendency toward good quality of life. In comparison with post-operative adjuvant CCRT, adjuvant chemotherapy treatment showed non-inferior efficacy in patients with early-stage cervical cancer having pathological risk factors. 13Pulse width effect on the dissociation probability of CH_4^+ in the intense femtosecond laser field显示文摘The laser pulse width effect on the dis- sociation probability of CH4+ irradiated by an ultrafast laser has been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The femtosecond laser at 800 nm with an intensity of 8.0 × 1013 W/cm2 was used. The ob- served relative yield of the primary fragment ion CH3+ increases with increasing pulse width and tends to saturate when the pulse width is longer than 120 fs. The field-assisted dissociation (FAD) model and quasi-classical trajectory (QCT) calculation were ap- plied to predicting the dissociation probability of CH4+. The calculated probability is corrected with the mo- lecular orientation effect and the spatial distribution of laser intensity. The modified results show that the dissociation requires at least 23 fs and saturates with long pulse widths (≥100 fs). 14A homogeneous and mechanically stable artificial diffusion layer using rigid-flexible hybrid polymer for high-performance lithium metal batteries显示文摘Artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) is promising to inhibit uncontrollable lithium dendrites and enable long cycling stability for lithium metal batteries. However, the essential mechanical stability is limited since organic layers generally have low modulus whereas intrinsic brittleness for inorganic ones remains a great concern. Polymer-based SEIs with rigid and flexible chains in adequate mechanical properties are supposed to address this issue. Herein, a homogeneous and mechanically stable diffusion layer is achieved by blending rigid chains of polyphenylene sulfone(PPSU) with flexible chains of poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) in a hybrid membrane, enabling uniform diffusion and stabilizing the lithium metal anode. The Li||Cu cell with the protected electrode exhibits a long lifetime more than 450 cycles(0.5 m A cm^(-2), 1.0 m A h cm^(-2))(fourfold longer than the control group) with higher average Coulombic efficiency of 98.7%. Enhanced performances are also observed at Li||Li and full cell configurations. The improved performances are attributed to the controlled morphology and stable interphase, according to scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and electrochemical impedance. 18A forkhead transcription factor contributes to the regulatory differences of pathogenicity in closely related fungal pathogens显示文摘Cryptococcus neoformans and its sister species Cryptococcus deuterogattii are important human fungal pathogens.Despite their phylogenetically close relationship,these two Cryptococcus pathogens are greatly different in their clinical characteristics.However,the determinants underlying the regulatory differences of their pathogenicity remain largely unknown.Here,we show that the forkhead transcription factor Hcm1 promotes infection in C.neoformans but not in C.deuterogattii.Monitoring in vitro and in vivo fitness outcomes of multiple clinical isolates from the two pathogens indicates that Hcm1 mediates pathogenicity in C.neoformans through its key involvement in oxidative stress defense.By comparison,Hcm1 is not critical for antioxidation in C.deuterogattii.Furthermore,we identified SRX1,which encodes the antioxidant sulfiredoxin,as a conserved target of Hcm1 in two Cryptococcus pathogens.Like HCM1,SRX1 had a greater role in antioxidation in C.neoformans than in C.deuterogattii.Significantly,overexpression of SRX1 can largely rescue the defective pathogenicity caused by the absence of Hcm1 in C.neoformans.Conversely,Srx1 is dispensable for virulence in C.deuterogattii.Overall,our findings demonstrate that the difference in the contribution of the antioxidant sulfiredoxin to oxidative stress defense underlies the Hcm1-mediated regulatory differences of pathogenicity in two closely related pathogens.Weixin Ke Yuyan Xie Yue Hu Hao Ding Xin Fan Jingjing Huang Xiuyun Tian Baokun Zhang Yingchun Xu Xiao Liu Ying Yang Linqi Wang 2022mLife2022,1,1:0
19Early intervention improves clinical responses to seasonal allergic rhinitis by stimulation in sphenopalatine ganglion(Xinwu acupoint)显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To examine the efficacy of early intervention(4 weeks before pollen dispersal)with sphenopalatine ganglion(Xinwu acupoint)stimulation in patients with allergies after the onset of seasonal allergic rhinitis(SAR).METHODS:This is a prospective,randomized and unblinded half-open study.Forty-one SAR volunteers were randomly assigned to either the sphenopalatine ganglion(SPG)acupuncture plus supplementary acupuncture(SPG group)or the sham-SPG acupuncture plus supplementary acupuncture(SA group)stimulation 4 weeks before the onset of allergy season.The changes of the total nasal symptom score(TNSS)and the Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ)scores were measured on the first week in the onset of allergy season.RESULTS:Four patients dropped out due to local hematoma and pain in the SPG and SA groups.The remaining 37 patients continued through to the end of the trial.After early intervention 4 weeks before the onset of allergy season,the sneezing,nasal congestion and itchiness scores in the first week of onset time were significantly lower in the SPG group than in the SA group patients(P<0.001).The RQLQ score obtained at the onset of symptoms indicated that symptoms were more significantly ameliorated in the SPG group than in the SA group(P<0.001).CONCLUSIONS:The results of this study confirmed that early intervention by sphenopalatine ganglion(Xinwu acupoint)stimulation can effectively improve the symptoms and the quality of SAR patients'daily lives.GUO Yuhao HUANG Liangran ZHANG Lei YANG Wei HUANG Lixia LIU Wei FAN Yuyan 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4:0
