1Review of gallium-oxide-based solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors显示文摘Solar-blind photodetectors are of great interest to a wide range of industrial, civil, environmental, and biological applications. As one of the emerging ultrawide-bandgap semiconductors, gallium oxide(Ga_2O_3) exhibits unique advantages over other wide-bandgap semiconductors, especially in developing high-performance solar-blind photodetectors. This paper comprehensively reviews the latest progresses of solar-blind photodetectors based on Ga_2O_3 materials in various forms of bulk single crystal, epitaxial films, nanostructures, and their ternary alloys.The basic working principles of photodetectors and the fundamental properties and synthesis of Ga_2O_3, as well as device processing developments, have been briefly summarized. A special focus is to address the physical mechanism for commonly observed huge photoconductive gains. 3Development and validation of a questionnaire-based risk scoring system to identify individuals at high risk for gastric cancer in Chinese populations显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to develop and validate a risk scoring system to identify high-risk individuals carrying malignant lesions in stomach for tailored gastric cancer screening.Methods:A gastric cancer risk scoring system(GC-RSS)was developed based on questionnaire-based predictors for gastric cancer derived from systematic literature review.To assess the capability of this system for discrimination,risk scores for 8,214 and 7,235 outpatient subjects accepting endoscopic examination in two endoscopy centers,and 32,630 participants in a community-based cohort in China were calculated to plot receiver operating characteristic curves and generate area under the curve(AUC).To evaluate the performance of GC-RSS,the screening proportion,sensitivity and detection rate ratio compared to universal screening were used under different risk score cutoff values.Results:GC-RSS comprised nine predictors including advanced age,male gender,low body mass index(<18.5 kg/m^(2)),family history of gastric cancer,cigarette smoking,consumption of alcohol,preference for salty food,irregularity of meals and consumption of preserved food.This tool performed well in determining the risk of malignant gastric lesions with AUCs of 0.763,0.706 and 0.696 in three validation sets.When subjects with risk scores≥5 were evaluated with endoscopy,nearly 50%of these endoscopies could be saved with a detection rate of over 1.5 times achieved.When the cutoff was set at 8,only about 10%of subjects with the highest risk would be offered endoscopy,and detection rates for gastric cancer could be increased 2-4 fold compared to universal screening.Conclusions:An effective questionnaire-based GC-RSS was developed and validated.This tool may play an important role in establishing a tailored screening strategy for gastric cancer in China.Ren Zhou Hongchen Zheng Mengfei Liu Zhen Liu Chuanhai Guo Hongrui Tian Fangfang Liu Ying Liu Yaqi Pan Huanyu Chen Zhe Hu Hong Cai Zhonghu He Yang Ke 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,6:3

5Copper‑Based Catalysts for Electrochemical Carbon Dioxide Reduction to Multicarbon Products显示文摘Electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide into fuel and chemicals with added value represents an appealing approach to reduce the greenhouse effect and realize a carbon-neutral cycle,which has great potential in mitigating global warming and effectively storing renewable energy.The electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)usually involves multiproton coupling and multielectron transfer in aqueous electrolytes to form multicarbon products(C_(2+) products),but it competes with the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),which results in intrinsically sluggish kinetics and a complex reaction mechanism and places higher requirements on the design of catalysts.In this review,the advantages of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction are briefly introduced,and then,different categories of Cu-based catalysts,including monometallic Cu catalysts,bimetallic catalysts,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)along with MOF-derived catalysts and other catalysts,are summarized in terms of their synthesis method and conversion of CO_(2) to C2+products in aqueous solution.The catalytic mechanisms of these catalysts are subsequently discussed for rational design of more efficient catalysts.In response to the mechanisms,several material strategies to enhance the catalytic behaviors are proposed,including surface facet engineering,interface engineering,utilization of strong metal-support interactions and surface modification.Based on the above strategies,challenges and prospects are proposed for the future development of CO_(2)RR catalysts for industrial applications.Fangfang Chang Meiling Xiao Ruifang Miao Yongpeng Liu Mengyun Ren Zhichao Jia Dandan Han Yang Yuan Zhengyu Bai Lin Yang 2022Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,3:2
6Heteroepitaxial growth of thick α-Ga_2O_3 film on sapphire(0001)by MIST-CVD technique显示文摘The 8 μm thick single-crystalline α-Ga2O3 epilayers have been heteroepitaxially grown on sapphire(0001) substrates via mist chemical vapor deposition technique. High resolution X-ray diffraction measurements show that the full-widths-at-halfmaximum(FWHM) of rocking curves for the(0006) and(10-14) planes are 0.024° and 0.24°, and the corresponding densities of screw and edge dislocations are 2.24 × 106 and 1.63 × 109 cm-2, respectively, indicative of high single crystallinity. The out-ofplane and in-plane epitaxial relationships are [0001] α-Ga2O3//[0001] α-Al2O3 and [11-20] α-Ga2O3//[11-20] α-Al2O3, respectively.The lateral domain size is in micron scale and the indirect bandgap is determined as 5.03 eV by transmittance spectra. Raman measurement indicates that the lattice-mismatch induced compressive residual strain cannot be ruled out despite the large thickness of the α-Ga2O3 epilayer. 9Protein N-myristoylation:functions and mechanisms in control of innate immunity显示文摘Protein N-myristoylation is an important fatty acylation catalyzed by N-myristoyltransferases(NMTs),which are ubiquitous enzymes in eukaryotes.Specifically,attachment of a myristoyl group is vital for proteins participating in various biological functions,including signal transduction,cellular localization,and oncogenesis.Recent studies have revealed unexpected mechanisms indicating that protein N-myristoylation is involved in host defense against microbial and viral infections.In this review,we describe the current understanding of protein N-myristoylation(mainly focusing on myristoyl switches)and summarize its crucial roles in regulating innate immune responses,including TLR4-dependent inflammatory responses and demyristoylation-induced innate immunosuppression during Shigella flexneri infection.Furthermore,we examine the role of myristoylation in viral assembly,intracellular host interactions,and viral spread during human immunodeficiency virus-1(HIV-1)infection.Deeper insight into the relationship between protein N-myristoylation and innate immunity might enable us to clarify the pathogenesis of certain infectious diseases and better harness protein N-myristoylation for new therapeutics.Bin Wang Tong Dai Wenhuan Sun Yujun Wei Jiang Ren Long Zhang Mengdi Zhang Fangfang Zhou 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,4:1

11Comprehensive Humoral and Cellular Immune Responses to SARS-CoV-2 Variants in Diverse Chinese Population显示文摘The SARS-CoV-2 variants have been emerging and have made great challenges to current vaccine and pandemic control strategies.It is urgent to understand the current immune status of various Chinese populations given that the preexisting immunity has been established by national vaccination or ex posure to past variants.Using sera from 85 individuals(including 21 convalescents of natural infection,15 cases which suffered a breakthrough infection after being fully vaccinated,and 49 healthy vaccinees),we showed signifcantly enhanced neutralizing activities against SRAS-CoV-2 variants in convalescent sera,especially those who had been fully vaccinated.The neut ralizing antibodies against Omicron were detectable in 75%of convalescents and 4.9%of healthy vaccinees(p=0.006),with a GMT of 289.5,180.9-463.3,and 42.6,31.3-59,respetively.However,the neutralizing activities were weaker in young convalescents(aged<18y),with a detectable rate of 50%and a GMT of 46.4 against Omicron.We also examined and found no pan.sarbecovirus neutralizing activities in vaccinated SARS-CoV-I survivors.A booster dose could further increase the breadth and magnitude of neutralization against WT and variants of concern(VOCs)to different degrees.In addition,we showed that COVID-19-inactivated vaccines can elicit Omicron-specific T-cell responses.The positive rates of ELISpot reactions were 26.7%(4/15)and 43.8%(7/16)in the full vaccination group and the booster vaccination group,respectively,although without statistically significant difference.The neutralizing antibody titers declined while T-cell responses remain consistent over 6 months.These findings will inform the optimization of public health vaccination and intervention strategies to protect diverse populations against SARS-CoV-2 variants.Advances.Breakthrough infection significantly boosted neutralizing activities against SARS-CoV-2 variants a compared to booster immunization with inaclivated vaccine.Vaccine-induced vir us-specific T-cell immunity,on the other hand,may compensate for the shortall.Furthermore,the public health system should target the most vulnerable group due to a poorer protective serological response in both infected and vaccinated adolescents.Jiwei Li Jing Wu Qiuyue Long Yan'an Wu Xiaoyi Hu Yukun He Mingzheng Jiang Jia Li Lili Zhao Shuoqi Yang Xiaoyong Chen Minghui Wang Jianshi Zheng Fangfang Wu Ruiliang Wu Lihong Ren Liang Bu Houzhao Wang Ke Li Lijuan Fu Guojun Zhang Yali Zheng Zhancheng Gao 2022Research2022,,2:1
12Magnesium ion-implantation-based gallium nitride p-i-n photodiode for visible-blind ultraviolet detection显示文摘In this work, a GaN p-i-n diode based on Mg ion implantation for visible-blind UV detection is demonstrated.With an optimized implantation and annealing process, a p-GaN layer and corresponding GaN p-i-n photodiode are achieved via Mg implantation. As revealed in the UV detection characterizations, these diodes exhibit a sharp wavelength cutoff at 365 nm, high UV/visible rejection ratio of 1.2 × 10~4, and high photoresponsivity of 0.35 A/W, and are proved to be comparable with commercially available GaN p-n photodiodes. Additionally, a localized states-related gain mechanism is systematically investigated, and a relevant physics model of electricfield-assisted photocarrier hopping is proposed. 16An effective bimetallic oxide catalyst of RuO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4) for alkaline overall water splitting显示文摘The rational design of effective bifunctional electrocatalysts is of paramount importance for overall water-splitting technology in sustainable energy conversion.Herein,bimetallic oxide catalysts(RuO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4))derived from Ru combined MOF-derivatives(MOF=metal-organic framework)were demonstrated effective for overall water splitting in an alkaline solution,owing to the combined merits such as the two-dimensional interconnected network structure,the synergetic coupling effects and increased chemical stability.The as-prepared RuO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4) only requires an overpotential of 260 mV for oxygen evolution and 75 mV for hydrogen evolution at 10 mA/cm^(2) in 1 M KOH solution;a low cell voltage of 1.54 V was required to reach the kinetic current density of 10 mA/cm^(2) for the water electrolysis when supporting on glass carbon electrode,and very good stability for 40 h was observed.Experimental and theoretical results demonstrated the electronic structure optimization of bimetallic RuO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4) compared to the individual metal oxide,which promoted interface charges redistribution and the d-band center downshift,resulting in increased activity and stability for water-splitting reactions.This work provides a feasible approach for developing bimetallic oxides for application in energy-relevant electrocatalysis reactions.Fangfang Ren Jiayu Xu Ligang Feng 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0

19Somatic mutation landscape of a meningioma and its pulmonary metastasis显示文摘Background:Extracranial metastasis(ENM)of meningiomas is extremely rare,and typically occurs several years after a primary tumor is diagnosed.However,the genetic changes underlying ENM events have not yet been investigated.Case presentation:A 58-year-old male patient was sent to the emergency room of our hospital because of a sudden fall.Magnetic resonance imaging detected a mass at the right frontal sagittal sinus.He underwent tumor resection and recovered well,but post-operative computed tomography revealed three lumps on the right side of his chest.Thoracic surgery was performed to remove two of the lumps.Pathological findings revealed that the brain and lung tumors were grade I meningiomas.The patient received no additional radiation or chemotherapy post-surgery,and there was no sign of tumor recurrence in the brain or progression of the remaining lump in the chest 1 year after surgery.We performed whole exome sequencing of the patient’s blood,primary brain tumor,and lung metastatic tumor tissues to identify somatic genetic alterations that had occurred during ENM.This revealed that a frameshift deletion of the neurofibromin 2 gene likely drove formation of the meningioma.Surprisingly,we found that the brain tumor was relatively homogeneous and contained only one dominant clone;both the pulmonary metastasis and the original brain tumor were derived from the same clone,and no obvious additional driver mutations were detected in the metastatic tumor.Conclusion:Although ENM of meningiomas is very rare,brain tumor cells appear to be more adaptable to tissue microenvironments outside of the central nervous system than was commonly thought.Yaran Du Ting Lu Song Huang Fangfang Ren Gang Cui Jian Chen 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:0
