Reactive oxygen species signaling and stomatal movement in plant responses to drought stress and pathogen attack显示文摘Stomata, the pores formed by a pair of guard cells, are the main gateways for water transpiration and photosynthetic CO_2 exchange, as well as pathogen invasion in land plants. Guard cell movement is regulated by a combination of environmental factors, including water status, light, CO_2 levels and pathogen attack, as well as endogenous signals, such as abscisic acid and apoplastic reactive oxygen species(ROS). Under abiotic and bioticstress conditions, extracellular ROS are mainly produced by plasma membrane-localized NADPH oxidases, whereas intracellular ROS are produced in multiple organelles. These ROS form a sophisticated cellular signaling network, with the accumulation of apoplastic ROS an early hallmark of stomatal movement. Here, we review recent progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of the ROS signaling network, primarily during drought stress and pathogen attack. We summarize the roles of apoplastic ROS in regulating stomatal movement, ABA and CO_2 signaling, and immunity responses. Finally, we discuss ROS accumulation and communication between organelles and cells. This information provides a conceptual framework for understanding how ROS signaling is integrated with various signaling pathways during plant responses to abiotic and biotic stress stimuli. | Junsheng Qi Chun-Peng Song Baoshan Wang Jianmin Zhou Jaakko Kangasjarvi Jian-Kang Zhu Zhizhong Gong | 2018 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,9: | 38
Cotton-derived oxygen/sulfur co-doped hard carbon as advanced anode material for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Hard carbon is regarded as promising anode materials for potassium-ion batteries(KIBs)owing to their low price and easy availability. However, the limited rate capability still needs to be improved.Herein,we demonstrate the fabrication of oxygen/sulfur co-doped hard carbon through a facile hydrolyzationsulfuration process of skimmed cotton. The simultaneous dopants significantly improve potassium ion diffusion rate. When served as the anode for KIBs,this hydrolyzed hard carbon delivered a high reversible capacity(409 mAh/g at 0.1 A/g),superior rate capability(135 mAh/g at 2 A/g)and excellent cyclability(about 120 mAh/g overt 500 cycles at 2 A/g).This work provides a facile strategy to prepare low-cost doped-hard carbon with superior potassium storage property. | Baolin Xu Shihan Qi Fang Li Xiaoxin Peng Jinfeng Cai Jiaojiao Liang Jianmin Ma | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1: | 12
Genetic diversity and DNA fingerprinting in jute(Corchorus spp.) based on SSR markers显示文摘Genetic diversity analysis and DNA finger printing are very useful in breeding programs, seed conservation and management. Jute(Corchorus spp.) is the second most important natural fiber crop after cotton. DNA fingerprinting studies in jute using SSR markers are limited. In this study, 58 jute accessions, including two control varieties(Huangma 179 and Kuanyechangguo) from the official variety registry in China were evaluated with 28 pairs of SSR primers. A total of 184 polymorphic loci were identified. Each primer detected 3 to 15 polymorphic loci, with an average of 6.6. The 58 jute accessions were DNA-fingerprinted with 67 SSR markers from the 28 primer pairs. These markers differentiated the 58 jute accessions from one another, with Co SSR305-120 and Co SSR174-195 differentiating Huangma 179 and Kuanyechangguo, respectively. NTSYS-pc2.10 software was used to analyze the genetic diversity in the 58 jute accessions. Their genetic similarity coefficients ranged from 0.520 to 0.910 with an average of 0.749, indicating relatively great genetic diversity among them. The 58 jute accessions were divided into four groups with the coefficient 0.710 used as a value for classification, consistent with their species and pedigrees. All these results may be useful both for protection of intellectual property rights of jute accessions and for jute improvement. | Liwu Zhang Rongrong Cai Minhang Yuan Aifen Tao Jiantang Xu Lihui Lin Pingping Fang Jianmin Qi | 2015 | The Crop Journal2015,3,5: | 8
Mobile Edge Computing and Field Trial Results for 5G Low Latency Scenario显示文摘Through enabling the IT and cloud computation capacities at Radio Access Network(RAN),Mobile Edge Computing(MEC) makes it possible to deploy and provide services locally. Therefore,MEC becomes the potential technology to satisfy the requirements of 5G network to a certain extent, due to its functions of services localization, local breakout, caching, computation offloading, network context information exposure, etc.Especially,MEC can decrease the end-to-end latency dramatically through service localization and caching, which is key requirement of 5G low latency scenario. However, the performance of MEC still needs to be evaluated and verified for future deployment. Thus, the concept of MEC is introduced into5 G architecture and analyzed for different 5G scenarios in this paper.Secondly, the evaluation of MEC performance is conducted and analyzed in detail, especially for network end-to-end latency. In addition, some challenges of the MEC are also discussed for future deployment. | Jianmin Zhang Weiliang Xie Fengyi Yang Qi Bi | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,S2: | 7
De novo assembly of chloroplast genomes of Corchorus capsularis and C.olitorius yields species-specific InDel markers显示文摘Jute(Corchorus spp.)is a member of the Malvaceae family, which comprises more than 100 species. The systematic positions of jute species have remained unsettled.Chloroplasts are maternally inherited and their genomes are widely used for plant phylogenetic studies. In the present study, the chloroplast genomes of Corchorus capsularis and C.olitorius were assembled, with sizes of respectively 161,088 and 161,766 bp.Both genomes contained 112 unique genes(78 protein-coding,four rRNA,and 30 tRNA genes).Four regionswith high variation between the two species were located in single-copy rather than inverted-repeat regions.A total of 66 simple sequence repeats(SSRs)were identified in the C.capsularis chloroplast genome and 56 in that of C.olitorius.Comparison of the two chloroplast genome sequences permitted the evaluation of nucleotide variation including 2417 single-nucleotide polymorphisms sites and 294 insertion or deletion sites,of which one marker(cpInDel 205)could discriminate the two jute species.Comparison of the C.capsularis and C.olitorius chloroplast genomeswith those of other species in theMalvaceae revealed breakpoints in the accD locus, which is involved in fatty acid synthesis,in C.capsularis and C.olitorius.This finding suggests that genes from the chloroplast genomemight have been transferred to the nuclear genome in some Corchorus species. This hypothesis was supported by synteny analysis of the accD region among the nuclear, chloroplast, and mitochondrial genomes. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the assembled chloroplast genome sequences of C.capsularis and C.olitorius.C.capsularis and C.olitorius are closely related to Gossypium species and there are abundant microstructure variations between these two genera. These results will expand our understanding of the systematics of species in the Malvaceae. | Shusheng Fang Liemei Zhang Jianmin Qi Liwu Zhang | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,1: | 5
Porous surfur-doped hard carbon for excellent potassium storage显示文摘Hard carbon is promising anode for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs),however, the poor rate capability hinders its development as potential anode. To address this question,we design a sulfur-doped porous hard carbon(S-HC)for PIBs through the combination of structural design and composition adjustment. The as-designed S-HC exhibits a long cycling life with^191 mAh/g after 300 cycles at 1 A/g,and an excellent rate capability with^100 mAh/g at 5 A/g,which was attributed to its structural characteristics and compositions. The S-HC demonstrates to be promising anode in the future. | Xuan Xie Shihan Qi Daxiong Wu Huaping Wang Fang Li Xiaoxin Peng Jinfeng Cai Jiaojiao Liang Jianmin Ma | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1: | 4
First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. We for the first time extended the limit to the m_(χ)<6 GeV/c^(2) region. | Yi Wang Zhi Zeng Qian Yue LiTao Yang KeJun Kang YuanJing Li Mehment Agartioglu HaiPeng An JianPing Chang JingHan Chen YunHua Chen JianPing Cheng Cheng Yi Chiang WenHan Dai Zhi Deng ChangHao Fang XinPing Geng Hui Gong QiuJu Guo XuYuan Guo HongJian He Li He ShengMing He JinWei Hu TuChen Huang HanXiong Huang HaiTao Jia LiPing Jia Xi Jiang HauBin Li JianMin Li Jin Li MingXuan Li RenMingJie Li Xia Li YuLan Li Bin Liao FongKay Lin ShinTed Lin ShuKui Liu YanDong Liu Yu Liu YuanYuan Liu ZhongZhi Liu Hao Ma YuCai Mao QiYuan Nie JinHua Ning Hui Pan NingChun Qi Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ChangSong Shang Vivek Sharma Ze She Lakhwinder Singh Monoj Kumar Singh TianXi Sun ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang Yang Tian GuangFu Wang Li Wang Qing Wang Yu Chen Wang YunXiang Wang Zhen Wang Henry Tsz-King Wong ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue YuLu Yan Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu JianFeng Yue Ming Zeng BingTao Zhang Lei Zhang FengShou Zhang ZhenYu Zhang KangKang Zhao MingGang Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,8: | 3

Heat Transfer during the Solidification of Hot Dip Aluminizing Coating显示文摘Hot dip aluminizing is one of the most effective methods of surface protection for steels and is gradually gaining popularity.Although the pulling speed is one of the most important parameters to control the coating thickness of aluminizing products, however, there are few publications on the mathematical modeling of pulling speed during the hot dip process. In order to describe the correlation among the pulling speed, coating thickness and solidification time, the principle of mass and heat transfer during the aluminizing process is investigated in this paper. The mathematical models are based on Navier-Stokes equation and heat transfer analysis.Experiments using the self-designed equipment are carried out to validate the mathematical models.Specifically, aluminum melt is purified at 730 ℃.The Cook-Norteman method is used for the pretreatment of Q235 steel plates. The temperature of hot dip aluminizing is set to 690 ℃ and thedipping time is set to 3 min.A direct current motor with stepless speed variation is used to adjust the pulling speed. The temperature change of the coating is recorded by an infrared thermometer, and the coating thickness is measured by using image analysis. The validate experiment results indicate that the coating thickness is proportional to the square root of pulling speed for the Q235 steel plate, and that there is a linear relationship between coating thickness and solidification time when the pulling speed is lower than 0.11 m/s.The prediction of the proposed model fits well with the experimental observations of the coating thickness. | XIAO Gang SHANGGUAN Qi LU Yuheng HUANG Caimin ZENG Jianmin | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,3: | 2
Single-atom Sn-Zn pairs in CuO catalyst promote dimethyldichlorosilane synthesis显示文摘Single-atom catalysts are of great interest because they can maximize the atom-utilization efficiency and generate unique catalytic properties;however, much attention has been paid to single-site active components, rarely to catalyst promoters.Promoters can significantly affect the activity and selectivity of a catalyst, even at their low concentrations in catalysts. In this work,we designed and synthesized CuO catalysts with atomically dispersed co-promoters of Sn and Zn.When used as the catalyst in the Rochow reaction for the synthesis of dimethyldichlorosilane, this catalyst exhibited much-enhanced activity, selectivity and stability compared with the conventional CuO catalysts with promoters in the form of nanoparticles.Density functional theory calculations demonstrate that single-atomic Sn substitution in the CuO surface can enrich surface Cu vacancies and promote dispersion of Zn to its atomic levels.Sn and Zn single sites as the co-promoters cooperatively generate electronic interaction with the CuO support, which further facilitates the adsorption of the reactant molecules on the surface, thereby leading to the superior catalytic performance. | Qi Shi Yongjun Ji Wenxin Chen Yongxia Zhu Jing Li Hezhi Liu Zhi Li Shubo Tian Ligen Wang Ziyi Zhong Limin Wang Jianmin Ma Yadong Li Fabing Su | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,3: | 2
Mitochondrion-targeted PENTATRICOPEPTIDE REPEAT5 is required for cis-splicing of nad4 intron 3 and endosperm development in rice显示文摘Endosperm as the storage organ of starch and protein in cereal crops largely determines grain yield and quality.Despite the fact that several pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR)proteins required for endosperm development have been identified in rice, the molecular mechanisms of many P-type PPR proteins in endosperm development remains unclear. Here,we isolated a rice floury endosperm mutant ppr5 that developed small starch grains and an abnormal aleurone layer, accompanied by decreased starch, protein, and amylose contents.Map-based cloning combined with a complementation test demonstrated that PPR5 encodes a P-type PPR protein that is localized to the mitochondria. The mutation in PPR5 caused reduced splicing efficiency of mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase 4(nad4)gene intron 3 and reduced complex I assembly and activity.Loss of PPR5 function greatly upregulated expression of alternative oxidases(AOXs),reduced ATP production, and affected mitochondrial morphology. We demonstrate that PPR5,as a P-type PPR protein,is required for mitochondrial function and endosperm development by controlling the cis-splicing of mitochondrial nad4 intron 3. | Long Zhang Yanzhou Qi Mingming Wu Lei Zhao Zhichao Zhao Cailin Lei Yuanyuan Hao Xiaowen Yu Yinglun Sun Xin Zhang Xiuping Guo Yulong Ren Jianmin Wan | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,2: | 2
Structurally tunable characteristics of ionic liquids for optimizing lithium plating/stripping via electrolyte engineering显示文摘Electrolyte chemistry offers the opportunity to regulate the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) and Li^(+)solvation, which is considered to be crucial to the growth of lithium crystals for safe lithium metal batteries(LMBs).Structurally tunable characteristics of ionic liquids(ILs) from anion type, cationic substituent chain length and cationic substituents, will contribute this field. Here,we explore the influence mechanism of imidazole-based ILs as electrolyte additives on Li+solvation and the formation of SEI.ILs can participate into the formation of efficient SEI,together with cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI).Moreover,ILs can also regulate the sheath structure of Li^(+)solvation,to fasten the kinetics of Li.Furthermore, the imidazole-based cations with long alkyl chain can form an electrostatic shield around newly formed Li nucleus, and suppress further Li plating at this site.Under the optimized condition, the 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide([OMIm]TFSI) additive shows the best ability to enhance the electrochemical performance, endowing the Li||Li symmetric cell with a stable life(over800 h) at 0.5 mA cm^(-2) and the Li||LiNi_(0.6)Mn_(0.2)Co_(0.2)O_(2)(NMC622) full cell with a high capacity of 141.7 mAh g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 0.5 C. | Shihan Qi Jiandong Liu Jian He Huaping Wang Mingguang Wu Daxiong Wu Junda Huang Fang Li Xin Li Yurong Ren Jianmin Ma | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12: | 2
Pseudo-concentrated electrolytes for lithium metal batteries显示文摘Lithium metal batteries suffer from short lifespans and low Coulombic efficiency (CE) due to the high reactivity of Li and the poor stability of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). Herein, we propose the concept of a pseudo-concentrated electrolyte (PCE) induced by an electron-deficient additive (4-pyridylboronic acid;4-PBA) to form a robust, LiF-rich SEI, thus addressing the above issues. Molecular dynamics simulations confirm that 4-PBA can increase the coordination number of PF6^(-) anions in the Li+ solvation sheath to achieve pseudo-concentrated LiPF6 in the electrolyte. Moreover, the 4-PBA can scavenge harmful PF5 decomposed from LiPF6 to stabilize the LiF-rich SEI. The resulting robust LiF-rich SEI promotes Li growth along the SEI/Li interface and represses the growth of Li dendrites. Thus, excellent performance is achieved, with a high CE of 97.1% for a Li||Cu cell at 1.0 mA cm^(−2), and over 950 cycles at 0.5 mA cm^(−2) for Li||Li symmetric cells with 1.0 wt% 4-PBA electrolyte. Meanwhile, the resulting stable boron-containing cathode electrolyte interphase enables Li||LiNi0·6Co0·2Mn0·2O_(2) (NCM622) cells to achieve excellent stability, with a capacity retention of 86.9% after 200 cycles. | Huaping Wang Jiandong Liu Jian He Shihan Qi Mingguang Wu Fang Li Junda Huang Yun Huang Jianmin Ma | 2022 | eScience2022,2,5: | 2
Experimental investigation of Z-pinch radiation source for indirect drive inertial confinement fusion显示文摘Z-pinch dynamic hohlraums(ZPDHs)could potentially be used to drive inertial confinement fusion targets.Double-or multishell capsules using the technique of volume ignition could exploit the advantages of ZPDHs while tolerating their radiation asymmetry, which would be unacceptable for a central ignition target. In this paper,we review research on Z-pinch implosions and ZPDHs for indirect drive targets at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry,China Academy of Engineering Physics. The characteristics of double-shell targets and the associated technical requirements are analyzed through a one-dimensional computer code developed from MULTI-IFE.Some key issues regarding the establishment of suitable sources for dynamic hohlraums are introduced, such as soft X-ray power optimization, novel methods for plasma profile modulation, and the use of thin-shell liner implosions to inhibit the generation of prior-stagnated plasma. Finally, shock propagation and radiation characteristics in a ZPDH are presented and discussed, together with some plans for future work. | Zhenghong Li Zhen Wang Rongkun Xu Jianlun Yang Fan Ye Yanyun Chu Zeping Xu Faxin Chen Shijian Meng Jianmin Qi Qinyuan Hu Yi Qin Jiaming Ning Zhanchang Huang Linbo Li Shuqing Jiang | 2019 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2019,4,4: | 1
