1Toward emerging gallium oxide semiconductors:A roadmap显示文摘Owing to the advantages of ultra-wide bandgap and rich material systems,gallium oxide(Ga_(2)O_(3))has emerged as a highly viable semiconductor material for new researches.This article mainly focuses on the growth processes,material characteristics,and applications of Ga_(2)O_(3).Compared with single crystals and the epitaxial growth of other wide-bandgap semiconductors,large-size and high-quality��-Ga_(2)O_(3) single crystals can be efficiently grown with a low cost,making them highly competitive.Thanks to the availability of high-quality single crystals,epi-taxial films,and rich material systems,high-performance semiconductor devices based on Ga_(2)O_(3) go through a booming development in recent years.The defects and interfaces of Ga_(2)O_(3) are comprehensively analyzed owing to their significant influence on practical applications.In this study,the two most common applications of Ga_(2)O_(3) materials are introduced.The high breakdown electric field,high working temperature,and excellent Baliga’s figure-of-merit of Ga_(2)O_(3) represent an inspiring prospect for power electronic devices.In addition,the excellent absorption in deep-ultraviolet band provides new ideas for optoelectronic detectors and ensures the dramatic progress.Finally,the summary,challenges,and prospects of the Ga_(2)O_(3) materials and devices are presented and discussed.Yuan Yuan Weibing Hao Wenxiang Mu Zhengpeng Wang Xuanhu Chen Qi Liu Guangwei Xu Chenlu Wang Hong Zhou Yanni Zou Xiaolong Zhao Zhitai Jia Jiandong Ye Jincheng Zhang Shibing Long Xutang Tao Rong Zhang Yue Hao 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,6:5

4Optically transparent graphene-based cognitive metasurface for adaptive frequency manipulation显示文摘Optically transparent microwave absorbing metasurfaces have shown great potential and are needed in multiple applications environments containing optical windows owing to their ability to reduce backscattering electromagnetic(EM)signals while keeping continuous optical observation.Meanwhile,they are also required to have adaptive EM manipulation capability to cope with complex and capricious EM environments.As a general approach,distributed circuit components,including positive-intrinsic-negative diodes and varactors and sensing components,are integrated with passive absorbing metasurfaces to realize adaptive control of microwave absorption.However,these circuit elements generally require bulky electrical wires and complex control circuits to regulate the operating state,resulting in the absorbing structures being optically opaque.Hence,it is a great challenge to realize self-operating absorbers while maintaining optical transparency.Here,we report an optically transparent cognitive metasurface made of patterned graphene sandwich structures and a radio frequency detector,which can achieve adaptive frequency manipulation to match incident EM waves.As a proof-of-principle application example,we realize a closed-loop automatic absorber system prototype of the proposed graphene metasurface with self-adaptive frequency variation,without any human intervention.The approach may facilitate other adaptive metadevices in microwave regime with high-level recognition and manipulation and,more generally,promote the development of intelligent stealth technologies.MINGYANG GENG XIAOLU YANG HAO CHEN XINZHI BO MENGZI LI ZHENGUO LIU WEIBING LU 2023Photonics Research2023,11,1:0

7Influence of Heat Treatment Temperature on Microstructure and Bonding of TiO2 Film Coated on Diamond Particles Surface显示文摘TiO_2 films were coated on the surface of diamond particles using a sol-gel method. The effects of heat treatment temperature on the morphology, phase composition and chemical bond of diamond particles coated with TiO_2 films were investigated through SEM, TEM, X-ray diffraction analysis, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, and XPS. The results showed that when being heat-treated at 600 ℃, the amorphous TiO_2 film transfered to the anatase film which bonded well with diamond substrate. Meanwhile, the Ti-O-C bond formed between TiO_2 film and diamond substrate. When being heat-treated at 800 ℃, TiO_2 film was still anatase, and partial diamond began to graphitize. 8Spatiotemporal changes of typical glaciers and their responses to climate change in Xinjiang,Northwest China显示文摘Glaciers are highly sensitive to climate change and are undergoing significant changes in mid-latitudes.In this study,we analyzed the spatiotemporal changes of typical glaciers and their responses to climate change in the period of 1990-2015 in 4 different mountainous sub-regions in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of Northwest China:the Bogda Peak and Karlik Mountain sub-regions in the Tianshan Mountains;the Yinsugaiti Glacier sub-region in the Karakorum Mountains;and the Youyi Peak sub-region in the Altay Mountains.The standardized snow cover index(NDSI)and correlation analysis were used to reveal the glacier area changes in the 4 sub-regions from 1990 to 2015.Glacial areas in the Bogda Peak,Karlik Mountain,Yinsugaiti Glacier,and Youyi Peak sub-regions in the period of 1990-2015 decreased by 57.7,369.1,369.1,and 170.4 km^(2),respectively.Analysis of glacier area center of gravity showed that quadrant changes of glacier areas in the 4 sub-regions moved towards the origin.Glacier area on the south aspect of the Karlik Mountain sub-region was larger than that on the north aspect,while glacier areas on the north aspect of the other 3 sub-regions were larger than those on the south aspect.Increased precipitation in the Karlik Mountain sub-region inhibited the retreat of glaciers to a certain extent.However,glacier area changes in the Bogda Peak and Youyi Peak sub-regions were not sensitive to the increased precipitation.On a seasonal time scale,glacier area changes in the Bogda Peak,Karlik Mountain,Yinsugaiti Glacier,and Youyi Peak sub-regions were mainly caused by accumulated temperature in the wet season;on an annual time scale,the correlation coefficient between glacier area and annual average temperature was-0.72 and passed the significance test at P<0.05 level in the Karlik Mountain sub-region.The findings of this study can provide a scientific basis for water resources management in the arid and semi-arid regions of Northwest China in the context of global warming.HUANG Xiaoran BAO Anming GUO Hao MENG Fanhao ZHANG Pengfei ZHENG Guoxiong YU Tao QI Peng Vincent NZABARINDA DU Weibing 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,5:0
