3Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke.Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:8

6Palladium nanoclusters immobilized on defective nanodiamond-graphene core-shell supports for semihydrogenation of phenylacetylene显示文摘We report a nanocarbon material with nanodiamond(ND) core and graphene shell(ND@G) as a support for Pd nanocatalysts. The designed catalyst performed good selectivity of styrene(85.2%) at full conversion of phenylacetylene and superior stability under mild conditions. 7An evidence for the strong association of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone with some organic species in three Chinese bituminous coals显示文摘Three Chinese bituminous coals collected from Shenfu, Heidaigou and Feicheng coal fields were re- spectively extracted with carbon-disulfide/N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (CS2/NMP) mixed solvent (volume ratio 1:1) at room temperature followed by distillation of CS2 under ambient pressure and subsequent removal of most of NMP by distillation at 110℃ under reduced pressure to afford mixed sol- vent-extractable fractions (MSEFs) with small amount of NMP. Acetone-extractable fraction 1 (AEF1) was obtained by extracting each MSEF under ultrasonic irradiation at room temperature and subse- quently using a Soxhlet extractor. Direct extraction of each bituminous coal affords acetone-soluble fraction 2 (AEF2). GC/MS analysis shows that m/z of base or secondary peak in mass spectra of a se- ries of components from each AEF1 is 98, whereas such components were not detected in AEF2. Since m/z of base peak in mass spectrum of NMP itself is 99, the base or secondary peak at m/z 98 should result from loss of α-H from NMP, i.e., NMP is strongly associated with some organic species (OSs) and thereby the components detected with base or secodary peak at m/z 98 in their mass spectra should be associated NMP-OS.LIU ChanMin ZONG ZhiMin JIA JiXian LIU GuangFeng WEI XianYong 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,8:2

10Isolation of CYP17 Ⅰ, 3β-HSD and AR Genes from Spotted Sea Bass (Lateolabrax maculatus) Testis and Their Responses to Hormones and Salinity Stimulations显示文摘In this study, three cDNA sequences corresponding to cytochrome P450 C17(CYP17 Ⅰ), 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase(3β-HSD) and androgen receptor(AR) were isolated from spotted sea bass(Lateolabrax maculatus). The mRNA abundances of CYP17 Ⅰ and 3β-HSD increased from stage Ⅱ to stage V with a significant increase at stage Ⅴ, and the highest abundance of AR mRNA was detected at stage Ⅲ in testicular development cycle. CYP17 I, 3β-HSD and AR transcripts were obviously abundant in steroidogenesis tissues such as testis, brain, head kidney among others. Strong and positive signals were observed mainly in interstitial cell regions of L. maculatus testis as were measured with in situ hybridization method. Significant increases of CYP17 Ⅰ and3β-HSD transcripts were detected after 12-48 h hCG(human chorionic gonadotropin) and GnRHa(gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue) treatments. However, an opposite relationship was found for AR in testis at the same time. In addition, decreasing trends of CYP17 Ⅰ and 3β-HSD mRNA were observed in testis of L. maculatus in freshwater group(FW) from day 2 to day 6, and mRNA abundance of AR increased in brackish water(BW) group from day 4 to day 8. 11Study on the Relationship of Seedling Density and Line Spacing to Leaf-stem Ratio, DW/FW Ratio and Grass Yield of Forage Sweet Sorghum显示文摘[Objectives] The aim was to optimize the configuration of seedling density and line spacing of forage sweet sorghum( Sorghum bicolor( L.) Moench)and explore its high-yield cultivation techniques. [Methods] Effects of such two influencing factors as line spacing and seedling density on the leaf-stem ratio,DW/FW ratio and grass yield of forage sweet sorghum were analyzed by using split-plot experiment design experiment method and LSD method of IBM. SPSS. Statistics. v22 statistics software. [Results]Seedling density and line spacing had no obvious effect on the leaf-stem ratio and DW/FW ratio of forage sweet sorghum but had obvious influences on the grass yield. Moreover,the optimal combination of seedling density and line spacing for high yield of forage sweet sorghum was A_2B_4,that is,seedling density was 225 000 plants/hm^2,and line spacing was 40 cm. 12Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 13Superconvergence Analysis of C^(m)Finite Element Methods for Fourth-Order Elliptic Equations I:One Dimensional Case显示文摘In this paper,we study three families of C^(m)(m=0,1,2)finite element methods for one dimensional fourth-order equations.They include C^(0)and C1 Galerkin methods and a C^(2)-C^(0)Petrov-Galerkin method.Existence,uniqueness and optimal error estimates of the numerical solution are established.A unified approach is proposed to study the superconvergence property of these methods.We prove that,for kth-order elements,the C^(0)and C1 finite element solutions and their derivative are superconvergent with rate h2k−2(k≥3)at all mesh nodes;while the solution of the C^(2)-C^(0)Petrov-Galerkin method and its first-and second-order derivatives are superconvergent with rate h^(2k−4)(k≥5)at all mesh nodes.Furthermore,interior superconvergence points for the l-th(0≤l≤m+1)derivate approximations are also discovered,which are identified as roots of special Jacobi polynomials,Lobatto points,and Gauss points.As a by-product,we prove that the C^(m)finite element solution is superconvergent towards a particular Jacobi projection of the exact solution in the Hl(0≤l≤m+1)norms.All theoretical findings are confirmed by numerical experiments.Waixiang Cao Lueling Jia Zhimin Zhang 2023Communications in Computational Physics2023,33,5:0
14Effects of Hypoxic Environment on Life Rhythm of Apodemus peninsulae显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to investigate the effect of hypoxic environment on life rhythm of Apodemus peninsulae. [Method] A. peninsulae were captured and fed in indoor hypoxic environment from May 2015 to October 2016. The respiratory frequency, activity level, food intake and water intake of A. peninsulae were analyzed under different oxygen concentrations. [Result] With the decrease of oxygen concentration, the respiratory frequency of A. peninsulae decreased, and the respiratory depth deepened, while the activity level, food intake and water intake de-creased. 15Grain refinement impact on the mechanical properties and wear behavior of Mg-9Gd-3Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy after decreasing temperature reciprocating upsetting-extrusion显示文摘Based on the deforming technique of severe plastic deformation(SPD), the grain refinement of a Mg-9Gd-3Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy treated with decreasing temperature reciprocating upsetting-extrusion(RUE) and its influence on the mechanical properties and wear behavior of the alloy were studied. The RUE process was carried out for 4 passes in total, starting at 0 ℃ and decreasing by 10 ℃ for each pass. The results showed that as the number of RUE passes increased, the grain refinement effect was obvious, and the second phase in the alloy was evenly distributed. Room temperature tensile properties of the alloy and the deepening of the RUE degree showed a positive correlation trend, which was due to the grain refinement, uniform distribution of the second phase and texture weakening. And the microhardness of the alloy showed that the microhardness of RUE is the largest in 2 passes. The change in microhardness was the result of dynamic competition between the softening effect of DRX and the work hardening effect. In addition, the wear resistance of the alloy showed a positive correlation with the degree of RUE under low load conditions. When the applied load was higher, the wear resistance of the alloy treated with RUE decreased compared to the initial state alloy. 16Effects of Planting Density and Row Spacing on Plant Productivity of Autumn Forage Sweet Sorghum in Hebei Province显示文摘[Objective]This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between each of planting density and row spacing and plant productivity of forage sweet sorghum planted in autumn idle land. [Methods]Using split-plot experiment design experiment method and LSD method of IBM. SPSS. Statistics. v22 statistics software,the effects of planting density and row spacing on plant productivity of forage sweet sorghum planted in autumn idle land were compared. [Result]The results showed that the planting density and row spacing had important influences on plant productivity of forage sweet sorghum planted in autumn idle land. 18Fully-exposed Pt clusters stabilized on Sn-decorated nanodiamond/graphene hybrid support for efficient ethylbenzene direct dehydrogenation显示文摘The pursuit of energy conservation and environmental protection has always been a hot topic in the catalytic fields,which is inseparable from the rational designing of efficient catalysts and an in-depth understanding of the catalytic reaction mechanism.In this work,fully-exposed Pt clusters were fabricated on the atomically dispersed Sn decorated nanodiamond/graphene(Sn-ND@G)hybrid support and employed for direct dehydrogenation(DDH)of ethylbenzene(EB)to styrene(ST).The detailed structural characterizations revealed the fully-exposed Pt clusters were stabilized on Sn-ND@G,assisted by the spatial separation of atomically dispersed Sn species.The as-prepared Pt/Sn-ND@G catalyst showed enhanced ST yield(136.2 molEB·molpt-1·h-1 EB conversion rate and 99.7%ST selectivity)and robust long-term stability at 500℃for the EB DDH reaction,compared with the traditional ND@G supported Pt nanoparticle catalyst(Pt/ND@G).The ST prefers to desorb from the fully-exposed Pt clusters,resulting in the enhanced DDH catalytic performance of the Pt/Sn-ND@G catalyst.The present work paves a new way for designing highly dispersed and stable supported metal catalysts for DDH reactions.Linlin Wang Xuetao Qin Ting Sun Xiangbin Cai Mi Peng Zhimin Jia Xiaowen Chen Ning Wang Jiangyong Diao Hongyang Liu Ding Ma 2022Nano Research2022,15,12:0
19Some mathematical aspects of Anderson localization:boundary effect,multimodality,and bifurcation显示文摘Anderson localization is a famous wave phenomenon that describes the absence of diffusion of waves in a disordered medium.Here we generalize the landscape theory of Anderson localization to general elliptic operators and complex boundary conditions using a probabilistic approach,and further investigate some mathematical aspects of Anderson localization that are rarely discussed before.First,we observe that under the Neumann boundary condition,the low energy quantum states are localized on the boundary of the domain with high probability.We provide a detailed explanation of this phenomenon using the concept of extended subregions and obtain an analytical expression of this probability in the one-dimensional case.Second,we find that the quantum states may be localized in multiple different subregions with high probability in the one-dimensional case and we derive an explicit expression of this probability for various boundary conditions.Finally,we examine a bifurcation phenomenon of the localization subregion as the strength of disorder varies.The critical threshold of bifurcation is analytically computed based on a toy model and the dependence of the critical threshold on model parameters is analyzed.Chen Jia Ziqi Liu Zhimin Zhang 2022Communications in Theoretical Physics2022,74,11:0
