1CXCL5/CXCR2 axis in tumor microenvironment as potential diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target显示文摘The components of the tumor microenvironment(TME)in solid tumors,especially chemokines,are currently attracting much attention from scientists.C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 5(CXCL5)is one of the important chemokines in TME.Over-expression of CXCL5 is closely related to the survival time,recurrence and metasta-sis of cancer patients.In TME,CXCL5 binds to its receptors,such as C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 2(CXCR2),to participate in the recruitment of immune cells and promote angiogenesis,tumor growth,and metastasis.The CXCL5/CXCR2 axis can act as a bridge between tumor cells and host cells in TME.Blocking the trans-mission of CXCL5/CXCR2 signals can increase the sensitivity and effectiveness of immunotherapy and slow down tumor progression.CXCL5 and CXCR2 are also regarded as biomarkers for predicting prognosis and molecular targets for customiz-ing the treatment.In this review,we summarized the current literature regarding the biological functions and clinical significance of CXCL5/CXCR2 axis in TME.The possibility to use CXCL5 and CXCR2 as potential prognostic biomarkers and thera-peutic targets in cancer is also discussed.Wen Zhang Huishan Wang Mingyang Sun Xueting Deng Xueru Wu Yilan Ma Mengjing Li Said Maisam Shuoa Qiang You Lin Miao 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,2:19
2Ovary cancer incidence and mortality in China, 2011显示文摘Objective: To evaluate and analyze ovary cancer incidence and mortality in China in 2011 using ovary cancer data from population-based cancer registration in China, and to provide scientific information for its control and prevention.Methods: Invasive cases of ovary cancer were extracted and analyzed from the overall Chinese cancer database in 2011, which were based on data from 177 population-based cancer registries distributing in 28 provinces. The crude, standardized, and truncated incidences and mortalities et al. were calculated and new and deaths cases from ovary cancer throughout China and in different regions in 2011 were estimated using Chinese practical population.Results: The estimates of new ovary cancer cases and deaths were 45,223 and 18,430, respectively, in China in 2011. The crude incidence rate, age-standardized rate by Chinese standard population(ASR-C) and agestandardized rate by world standard population(ASR-W) incidence were 6.89/100,000, 5.35/100,000 and 5.08/100,000, respectively; the crude, ASR-C and ASR-W mortalities were 2.81/100,000, 2.01/100,000 and 1.99/100,000, respectively. The incidence and mortality in urban areas were higher than those in rural areas. The age-specific incidence and mortality increased rapidly from age 35-39 and peaked at age 60-64 or 75-79 years. After age 45 or 55, the age-specific incidence and death rates in urban were much higher than those in rural areas. 3Zircon U-Pb-Hf Isotopic Systematics and Geochemistry of the Granites in the Wurinitu Molybdenum Deposit, Inner Mongolia, China: Implications for Tectonic Setting and Genetic Type of Mineralization显示文摘The Wurinitu Mo deposit is one of the newly found molybdenum deposits in the southwestern part of the late Paleozoic–Mesozoic Erenhot–Dong-Ujimqin metallogenic belt(S-EDMB),Inner Mongolia,China. In the present study,the mineralization age of the Wurinitu deposit is constrained to 137.3 ± 1.3 to 131.9 ± 1.5 Ma based on a combination of the laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry(LA–ICP–MS) zircon U–Pb dating of the mineralization related fine-grained monzonitic granite and the post-mineralization granite porphyry. The results of zircon Lu–Hf isotopes,combined with the geochemical characteristics of the granites in the S-EDMB,suggest that the Wurinitu Mo deposit was formed in an extensional environment in relation to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in late Mesozoic. 4Variation in assimilable organic carbon formation during chlorination of Microcystis aeruginosa extracellular organic matter solutions显示文摘This study investigated the chlorination of Microcystis aeruginosa extracellular organic matter(EOM) solutions under different conditions, to determine how the metabolites produced by these organisms affect water safety and the formation of assimilable organic carbon(AOC). The effects of chlorine dosages, coagulant dosage, reaction time and temperature on the formation of AOC were investigated during the disinfection of M.aeruginosa metabolite solutions. The concentration of AOC followed a decreasing and then increasing pattern with increasing temperature and reaction time. The concentration of AOC decreased and then increased with increasing chlorination dosage, followed by a slight decrease at the highest level of chlorination. However, the concentration of AOC decreased continuously with increasing coagulant dosage. The formation of AOC can be suppressed under appropriate conditions. 6Potential coexistence of both bacterial and eukaryotic small RNA biogenesis and functional related protein homologs in Archaea显示文摘RNA silencing plays crucial roles in both bacteria and eukaryotes, yet its machinery appears to differ in these two kingdoms. A couple of Argonaute protein homologs have been reported in some archaeal species in recent years. As Argonaute protein is the key component of eukaryotic RNA silencing pathways, such findings suggested the possibility of existence of eukaryotic RNA silencing like pathways in Archaea, which present the life forms between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. To further explore such hypothesis, we systematically screened 71 fully sequenced archaaeal genomes, and identified some proteins containing homologous regions to the functional domains of eukaryotic RNA silencing pathway key proteins. The phylogenetic relationships of these proteins were analyzed. The conserved func-tional amino acids between archaeal and eukaryotic Piwi domains suggested their functional similarity. 7白细胞介素-18抑制Lewis肺癌小鼠移植瘤生长与诱导移植瘤细胞凋亡的研究(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of our study was to investigate the effects of interleukin-18(IL-18) on implanted Lewis lung cancer in suppressing tumor growth and inducing tumor cells apoptosis.Methods:One week after hypodermic inoculation of Lewis cells, sixteen tumor-bearing syngeneic mice were randomly divided into two groups.The mice in the treatment group were intraperitoneal injected with the IL-18, in the control group were intraperitoneal injected with normal saline.The health conditions of the mice were measured, the morphology of the tumors was studied and the apoptosis of implanted lung cancer cells was detected by TUNEL to evaluated the effects of IL-18.Results:IL-18 had no significant effects on the health conditions of the mice, but it could suppress the implanted tumor growth(inhibition rate was 75%) and induce tumor cells apoptosis.Conclusion:IL-18 can suppress the implanted Lewis lung cancer cells by way of inducing tumor cells apoptosis.It could be used as a new strategy for lung cancer.Sheng Yang Huishan Lu Xiangqi Chen Tingyan Lin Zhiying Li Mingqiang Kang 2010The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2010,9,3:1

9Observation of directional change of core field inside flux ropes within one reconnection diffusion region in the Earth's magnetotail显示文摘Two consecutive magnetic flux ropes, separated by less than 30 s(Dt \ 30 s), are observed within one magnetic reconnection diffusion region without strong guide field in the Earth's magnetotail by Cluster multispacecraft. The flux ropes are characterized by bipolar signatures of the south–north magnetic field component Bz accompanied with strong core magnetic field By, intense current J and density depletions inside of them. In spite of the small but non-trivial global scale negative guide field(–By), there exists a directional change of the core fields of two flux ropes, i.e.,-Byfor the first one, and Byfor the second one. The directions of the core fields are the same as the ambient cross-tail magnetic field component(By) just outside of flux ropes. Therefore, we suggest that the core field of flux ropes is formed by compression of the local preexisting Byand that the directional change of core field is due to the change of local preexisting By. 11Interfacial engineering of 3D hollow CoSe_(2)@ultrathin MoSe_(2)core@shell heterostructure for efficient pH-universal hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Rational design and construction of low-cost and highly efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is meaningful but challenging.Herein,a robust three dimensional(3D)hollow CoSe_(2)@ultrathin MoSe_(2)core@shell heterostructure(CoSe_(2)@MoSe_(2))is proposed as an efficient HER electrocatalyst through interfacial engineering.Benefitting from the abundant heterogeneous interfaces on CoSe_(2)@MoSe_(2),the exposed edge active sites are maximized and the charge transfer at the hetero-interfaces is accelerated,thus facilitating the HER kinetics.It exhibits remarkable performance in pH-universal conditions.Notably,it only needs an overpotential(η10)of 108 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)in 1.0 M KOH,outperforming most of the reported transition metal selenides electrocatalysts.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations unveil that the heterointerfaces synergistically optimize the Gibbs free energies of H2O and H^(*)during alkaline HER,accelerating the reaction kinetics.The present work may provide new construction guidance for rational design of high-efficient electrocatalysts.Lili Zhang Yuanting Lei Danni Zhou Chengli Xiong Zhuoli Jiang Xinyuan Li Huishan Shang Yafei Zhao Wenxing Chen Bing Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
12Statistical properties of kinetic-scale magnetic holes in terrestrial space显示文摘Kinetic-scale magnetic holes(KSMHs)are structures characterized by a significant magnetic depression with a length scale on the order of the proton gyroradius.These structures have been investigated in recent studies in near-Earth space,and found to be closely related to energy conversion and particle acceleration,wave-particle interactions,magnetic reconnection,and turbulence at the kineticscale.However,there are still several major issues of the KSMHs that need further study—including(a)the source of these structures(locally generated in near-Earth space,or carried by the solar wind),(b)the environmental conditions leading to their generation,and(c)their spatio-temporal characteristics.In this study,KSMHs in near-Earth space are investigated statistically using data from the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.Approximately 200,000 events were observed from September 2015 to March 2020.Occurrence rates of such structures in the solar wind,magnetosheath,and magnetotail were obtained.We find that KSMHs occur in the magnetosheath at rates far above their occurrence in the solar wind.This indicates that most of the structures are generated locally in the magnetosheath,rather than advected with the solar wind.Moreover,KSMHs occur in the downstream region of the quasi-parallel shock at rates significantly higher than in the downstream region of the quasi-perpendicular shock,indicating a relationship with the turbulent plasma environment.Close to the magnetopause,we find that the depths of KSMHs decrease as their temporal-scale increases.We also find that the spatial-scales of the KSMHs near the subsolar magnetosheath are smaller than those in the flanks.Furthermore,their global distribution shows a significant dawn-dusk asymmetry(duskside dominating)in the magnetotail.ShuTao Yao ZongShun Yue QuanQi Shi Alexander William Degeling HuiShan Fu AnMin Tian Hui Zhang Andrew Vu RuiLong Guo ZhongHua Yao Ji Liu Qiu-Gang Zong XuZhi Zhou JingHuan Li WenYa Li HongQiao Hu YangYang Liu WeiJie Sun 2021Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,1:1

14Sequential stabilization of RNF220 by RLIM and ZC4H2 during cerebellum development and Shh-group medulloblastoma progression显示文摘Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling is essential for the proliferation of cerebellar granule neuron progenitors (CGNPs), and its misregulation is linked to various disorders, including cerebellar cancer medulloblastoma (MB). During vertebrate neural development, RNF220, a ubiquitin E3 ligase, is involved in spinal cord patterning by modulating the subcellular location of glioma-associated oncogene homologs (Glis) through ubiquitination. RNF220 is also required for full activation of Shh signaling during cerebellum development in an epigenetic manner through targeting embryonic ectoderm development. ZC4H2 was reported to be involved in spinal cord patterning by acting as an RNF220 stabilizer. Here, we provided evidence to show that ZC4H2 is also required for full activation of Shh signaling in CGNP and MB progression by stabilizing RNF220. In addition, we found that the ubiquitin E3 ligase RING finger LIM domain-binding protein (RLIM) is responsible for ZC4H2 stabilization via direct ubiquitination, through which RNF220 is also thus stabilized. RLIM is a direct target of Shh signaling and is also required for full activation of Shh signaling in CGNP and MB cell proliferation. We further provided clinical evidence to show that the RLIM‒ZC4H2‒RNF220 cascade is involved in Shh-group MB progression. Disease-causative human RLIM and ZC4H2 mutations affect their interaction and regulation. 15Clonal variation in growth,PSII photochemical activity and polar metabolites in Pinus elliottii×P.caribaea显示文摘Pinus elliottii×P.caribaea is a widely planted commercial tree hybrid in South China.To investigate the potential of physiological parameters for clonal selection,cuttings of three clones(EH3,EH4 and EH5)and a control were grown in phosphorus treated pots.Significant variations to phosphorous,photosystem II activity and polar metabolite abundance in needles were noted among clones.Clone EH5 was the most P-responsive and had maximum height growth.The highest maximum quantum yield of PSII in the dark(F_(v)/F_(m)),maximum quantum yield of PSII in the light(F_(v)'/F_(m)')and the actual PSII efficiency(Φ_(PSII))values were also found in EH5.A total of 64 polar metabolites were identified,21 were regulated by phosphorous,while 28 accumulated differentially among the three clones.There were few overlapping responsive metabolites to phosphorous fertilization.In EH5,the abundance of maltotriitol,neohesperidin and raffinose were highest,whereas galactinol and shikimic acid were lower compared with EH3 and EH4.The results reveal that physiological traits were genetically controlled and might be useful for selecting clones with high phosphorous utilization efficiency.Wenbing Guo Fencheng Zhao Yang Liu Zhen Li Huishan Wu Yiliang Li Fangyan Liao 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1:0
16Recent progress in the interaction between energetic particles and tearing modes显示文摘The dynamics of energetic particles and tearing modes and the interactions between them are of great significance for magnetically confined fusion plasmas.In this review,we focus on these issues in the context of tokamak plasmas.The interaction between energetic particles and tearing modes is considered from two perspectives:(i)the influence of energetic particles on tearing modes and(ii)the transport of energetic particles by tearing modes.The influence of energetic particles on tearing modes is described on the basis of a general dispersion relation for tearing modes.The effects of energetic particles are considered separately in the outer region and the island region of a tearing mode.The physics mainly results from the modification of the perturbed parallel current by energetic particles without wave–particle resonance.In addition,the resonance between energetic particles and tearing modes is also reviewed.For the transport of energetic particles,transport of both circulating and trapped energetic particles by tearing mode is reviewed.Our descriptions of physical phenomena here are based on an analytical approach,while the experiments and simulations are used to illustrate and confirm our results.Finally,a number of open issues are discussed.Huishan Cai Ding Li 2022National Science Review2022,9,11:0
17Haploinsufficiency oftheTDP43 ubiquitin E3 ligase RNF220 leads to ALS-like motor neuron defects in the mouse显示文摘TDP43 pathology is seen in a large majority of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)cases,suggesting a central pathogenic role of this regulatory protein.Clarifying the molecular mechanism controlling TDP43 stability and subcellular location might provide important insights into ALS therapy.The ubiquitin E3 ligase RNF220 is involved in different neural developmental processes through various molecular targets in the mouse.Here,we report that the RNF2207 mice showed progressively decreasing mobility to different extents,some of which developed typical ALS pathological characteristics in spinal motor neurons,including TDP43 cytoplasmic accumulation,atrocytosis,muscle denervation,and atrophy.Mechanistically,RNF220 interacts with TDP43 in vitro and in vivo and promotes its polyubiquitination and proteasomal degradation.In conclusion,we propose that RNF220 might be a modifier of TDP43 function in vivo and contribute to TDP43 pathology in neurodegenerative disease like ALS.Pengcheng Ma Yuwei Li Huishan Wang Bingyu Mao 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,5:0

19DNA tetrahedron-based split aptamer probes for reliable imaging of ATP in living cells显示文摘Accurate detection and imaging of adenosine triphosphate(ATP)expression levels in living cells is of great value for understanding cell metabolism,physiological activities,and pathologic mechanisms.Here,we developed a DNA tetrahedron-based split aptamer probe(TD probe)for ratiometric fluorescence imaging of ATP in living cells.The TD probe is constructed by hybridizing two split ATP aptamer probes(Apt-a and Apt-b)to a DNA tetrahedron assembled by four DNA oligonucleotides(T1,T2,T3 and T4).In the presence of ATP,the TD probe will alter its structure from the open to closed state,thus bringing the separated donor and acceptor fluorophores into close proximity for high fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)signals.The TD probe exhibits low cytotoxicity,efficient cell internalization and good biological stability.Moreover,based on the FRET“off”to“on”signal output mode,the TD probe can effectively avoid false-positive signals from complex biological matrices,which is significant for long-term reliable imaging in living cells.In addition,by changing the split aptamers attached to DNA tetrahedron,the proposed strategy may be extended for detecting various intracellular targets.Collectively,this strategy provides a valuable sensing platform for biomarkers analysis in living cells,thus having great potential for early clinical diagnosis and therapeutic evaluation.Lie Li Jie Wang Huishan Jiang Xiaohong Wen Mei Yang Suping Li Qiuping Guo Kemin Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3:0
20Switch of phosphorylation to O-GlcNAcylation of AhR contributes to vascular oxidative stress induced by benzo[a]pyrene显示文摘Benzo[a]pyrene(B[a]P)is a food contaminant toxic for cardiovascular diseases.The nuclear translocation of Arylhydrocarbon receptor(AhR)plays an important role in B[a]P-induced oxidative stress and vascular diseases.We confi rmed that B[a]P promoted ROS production in vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)in vitro and in vivo,associated with the nuclear translocation of AhR.It is known that phosphorylation inhibits while dephosphorylation of AhR promotes nuclear translocation of AhR.However,from the posttranslational modifi cation level,the mechanism by which B[a]P activates and regulates the nuclear translocation of AhR is unclear.Co-immunoprecipitation results showed that cytoplasmic AhR was phosphorylated before B[a]P stimulation,and switched to O-GlcNAcylation upon B[a]P 1-h stimulation in VSMCs,suggesting there may be a competitively inhibitory relationship between O-GlcNAcylation and phosphorylation of AhR.Next,siRNAs of O-linked N-acetylglucosamine transferase(OGT),O-GlcNAcase(OGA)and OGA inhibitor PUGNAc were used.SiOGT blocks but siOGA and PUGNAc promote B[a]P-dependent AhR nuclear translocation and oxidative stress.Ser11 may be the competitive binding site for phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation of AhR.Phosphorylation-mimic variant inhibits but O-GlcNAcylation of AhR promotes AhR nuclear translocation and oxidative stress.Our fi ndings highlight a new perspective for AhR nuclear translocation regulated by the competitive modifi cation between phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation.Rong Wang Yun Huang Xiaoruo Gan Chenghao Fu Yuemin Li Ning Chen Hao Xi Huishan Guo Wei Zhang Yuhong Lü Yan Zhang Pin Lü 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,6:0
