| 1 | Local and long-range transport influences on PM_(2.5) at a cities-cluster in northern China,during summer 2008显示文摘Hourly PM2.5 concentrations were observed simultaneously at a cities-cluster comprising 10 cities/towns in Hebei province in China from July 1 to 31,2008. Among the 10 cities/towns, Baoding showed the highest average concentration level(161.57(jig/m3) and Yanjiao exhibited the lowest(99.35(jig/m3). These observed data were also studied using the joint potential source contribution function with 24-h and72-h backward trajectories, to identify more clearly the local and countrywide-scale long-range transport sources. For the local sources, three important influential areas were found, whereas five important influential areas were defined for long-range transport sources. Spatial characteristics of PM2.5 were determined by multivariate statistical analyses. Soil dust, coal combustion, and vehicle emissions might be the potential contributors in these areas. The results of a hierarchical cluster analysis for back trajectory endpoints and PM2.5 concentrations datasets show that the spatial characteristics of PM2.5 in the cities-cluster were influenced not only by local sources, but also by long-range transport sources. Different cities in the cities-cluster obtained different weighted contributions from local or long-range transport sources. | 2 | Effect of Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction from Traditional Chinese Medicine on intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of decoction prepared with Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating medicinals from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) on the intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS).METHODS: Totally 55 male Wistar rats(body weight of 170-190 g) were randomly divided into the blank group(n = 10) and the model duplication group(n = 45). The blank group was not intervened, while the other was modeled with 5% dextran sulfate sodium by gavaging in a dosage of4 m L per day to induce ulcerative colitis, a total of7 days. Then, the model rats were divided into model blank group, mesalazine group and TCM group,and each group was consisted of 15 rats. They were given retention enema 10 min with normal saline,mesalazine enema(0.036 g/m L), and Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction [0.54 g/m L of a decoction boiled by Puhuang(Pollen Typhae), Xiebai(Bulbus Allii Macrostemonis) and Wulingzhi(Faeces Trogopteri)] for 10 days respectively. Afterwards,all of the rats were evaluated by disease activity index(DAI), histological changes of distal colon, expression of occludin protein and ultrastructure of intestinal epithelial cells. Furthermore, ratio of lactulose to mannitol(L/M) discharged in urine was evaluated.RESULTS: Comparing the results between TCM and model control groups, scores of DAI and histological lesions decreased significantly(P = 0.000 <0.01), ultrastructures of intestinal epithelial cells and tight junctions were more complete. The expression of occludin protein(P = 0.001 < 0.01) increased while the L/M value decreased significantly(P = 0.000 < 0.01) in TCM group. | 3 | Microstructure evolution of in-situ nanoparticles and its comprehensive effect on high strength steel显示文摘A novel steel strengthened by nanoparticles was investigated in this study. A Fe-based high-strength steel was developed by the trace-element regional supply method during deoxidization to generate in situ nanoparticles with a high number density in the matrix. The results show that the endogenous nanoparticles are aluminum oxide (AI2O3) and titanium oxide (Ti3O5) formed in the liquid melt. Al2O3 functioned as a heterogeneous nucleation site for MnS during solidification;the size of the resultant complex inclusions was approximately 1-2 jjim. Furthermore, 13 nm Nb(C,N) precipitates grew with the Ti30 5 during the tempering process. These in situ nanopartides strongly affected refining of the grain and inclusions. | 4 | Experimental investigation of ghost imaging of reflective objects with different surface roughness显示文摘We present an experimental demonstration of ghost imaging of reflective objects with different surface roughness.The influence of the surface roughness, the transverse size of the test detector, and the reflective angle on the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is analyzed by measuring the second-order correlation of the light field based on classical statistical optics. It is shown that the SNR decreases with an increment of the surface roughness and the detector's transverse size or a decrease of the reflective angle. | 7 | Spatial learning and memory deficits in young adult mice exposed to a brief intense noise at postnatal age显示文摘Noise pollution is a major hazardous factor to human health and is likely harmful for vulnerable groups such as pre-term infants under lifesupport system in an intensive care unit. Previous studies have suggested that noise exposure impairs children's learning ability and cognitive performance and cognitive functions in animal models in which the effect is mainly attributed to the oxidant stress of noise on the cognitive brain. The potential role of noise induced hearing loss(NIHL), rather than the oxidant stress, has also been indicated by a depression of neurogenesis in the hippocampus long after a brief noise exposure, which produces only a tentative oxidant stress. It is not clear if noise exposure and NIHL during early development exerts a long term impact on cognitive function and neurogenesis towards adulthood. In the present study, a brief noise exposure at high sound level was performed in neonatal C57BL/6J mice(15 days after birth) to produce a significant amount of permanent hearing loss as proved 2 months after the noise. At this age, the noise-exposed animals showed deteriorated spatial learning and memory abilities and a reduction of hippocampal neurogenesis as compared with the control. The averaged hearing threshold was found to be strongly correlated with the scores for spatial learning and memory. | 8 | A data envelopment analysis of agricultural technical efficiency of Northwest Arid Areas in China显示文摘Severe resource shortage and waste of resource in agricultural production make it necessary to assess efficiency to increase productivity with high efficiency and ensure sustainable agricultural development. This paper adopted an input-oriented data envelopment analysis(DEA) method with the assumption of variable returns to scale to evaluate agricultural production efficiency of 100 major irrigation districts in Northwest China in 2010.Major findings of this paper were as follows: firstly, the average value of total technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of those irrigation districts in Northwest China were 0.770, 0.825 and 0.931,respectively; secondly, 30% of irrigation districts were technically efficient, while 42% and 32% of them showed pure technical and scale efficiency respectively. Among inefficient decision-making units, total technical efficiency score varied from 0.313 to 0.966, showing significant geographical differences, but geographical differences of pure technical efficiency was more consistent with that of total technical efficiency; thirdly, input redundancy was evident. Inputs of agricultural population, irrigation area,green water, blue water, consumption of fertilizer and agricultural machinery could be reduced by 34.88%,40.19%, 43.85%, 47.10%, 41.53% and 42.21% respectively without reducing agricultural outputs. Furthermore,irrigation area, green water and blue water had relatively high slack movement though Northwest China which is short of water resources. Based on these results, this paper drew the following conclusions: First, there is huge potential for Northwest China to improve its agricultural production efficiency, and agro-technology not input scale had greater influence on improvement. | 9 | Biosynthesis of antibiotic chuangxinmycin from Actinoplanes tsinanensis显示文摘Chuangxinmycin is an antibiotic isolated from Actinoplanes tsinanensis CPCC 200056 in the1970 s with a novel indole-dihydrothiopyran heterocyclic skeleton. Chuangxinmycin showed in vitro antibacterial activity and in vivo efficacy in mouse infection models as well as preliminary clinical trials.But the biosynthetic pathway of chuangxinmycin has been obscure since its discovery. Herein, we report the identification of a stretch of DNA from the genome of A. tsinanensis CPCC 200056 that encodes genes for biosynthesis of chuangxinmycin by bioinformatics analysis. The designated cxn cluster was then confirmed to be responsible for chuangxinmycin biosynthesis by direct cloning and heterologous expressing in Streptomyces coelicolor M1146. The cytochrome P450 CxnD was verified to be involved in the dihydrothiopyran ring closure reaction by the identification of seco-chuangxinmycin in S. coelicolor M1146 harboring the cxn gene cluster with an inactivated cxn D. Based on these results, a plausible biosynthetic pathway for chuangxinmycin biosynthesis was proposed, by hijacking the primary sulfur transfer system for sulfur incorporation. | 11 | Morbidity Analysis of the Notifiable Infectious Diseases in China,2018显示文摘Introduction Notifiable infectious disease surveillance is important for understanding the trends in morbidity for certain diseases,especially detection of acute infectious disease outbreaks and changing epidemiology.A web-based reporting system was deployed in January 2004,which has improved data collection and speed tremendously.This report provides an updated analysis for reports published in 2013 and 2015.Methods Data from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS)was used.The NNRDS shows data from 39 notifiable diseases split into three categories(A,B,and C)based on severity and importance.A descriptive analysis was conducted to analyze the morbidity of notifiable diseases in China.Results In 2018,the morbidity of national notifiable diseases was 559.41 per 100,000 population,an increase of 12.88% compared with the average of 2015–2017.The proportion of laboratory confirmed cases was 36.22%,which decreased 4.03% compared with the average of that in the recent three years.Diseases transmitted by direct contact/fecal–oral transmission accounted for the largest proportion,49.37% of the total reported cases,followed by the respiratory transmitted diseases,blood-borne/sexually transmitted diseases,and the zoonotic and vectorborne diseases with a proportion of 25.18%,24.60%,and 0.85%,respectively.Pathogenic descriptive analysis showed that the viral-infected cases accounted for 73.78% of the totals,followed by the bacterialinfected and parasitic diseases.Conclusion The national morbidity of notifiable infectious diseases showed increases in 2018,mostly due to higher morbidity of category C diseases,such as HFMD,infectious diarrhea,and influenza,and these diseases need to be further prioritized in disease control and prevention efforts.Laboratory confirmed cases remain low and need to be improved to improve data quality. | Shuaibing Dong Xiang Ren Cuihong Zhang Mengjie Geng Yuliang Zhu Lusha Shi Lijie Zhang Zhongjie Li Liping Wang | 2019 | China CDC weekly2019,1,4: | 2 |
| 12 | High-resolution linkage and quantitative trait locus mapping using an interspecific cross between Argopecten irradians irradians(♀) and A. purpuratus (♂)显示文摘The bay scallop and Peruvian scallop are economically important species.Interspecific hybrids of these two scallops outperformed both of their parent species in multiple growth traits but exhibited decreased fertility,which provides good models for the study of heterosis and species divergence.Genetic mapping serves as a chromosomal-level framework to investigate the molecular mechanisms of hybridization and introgression.In this study,high-resolution linkage maps were constructed for the bay and Peruvian scallops with an interspecific hybrid family.The linkage map of the bay scallop covered over 98.9% of the whole genome with 2994 mapped markers and the average marker interval of 0.32 cM.For the Peruvian scallop,1585 markers were mapped with the average maker interval of 0.51 cM,covering 97.7% of the genome.Both the two linkage maps have 16 linkage groups,corresponding to the haploid chromosome number of the two species.Approximately,54.5% of markers exhibited significant deviation from the expected Mendelian ratio of segregation,lending in sights into the intrinsic incompatibility between the two species.QTLs related to growth and shell coloration were detected,which could explain 13.1%and 74.9% of the phenotypic variance,respectively.This represents important information for further evaluation.These findings are an important addition to the genomic resources for scallop genetic studies,and are especially useful for investigations on genomic incompatibility for hybridization,genome evolution of closely related species,and genetic enhancement programs in aquaculture. | Junxia Mao Qifan Zeng Zujing Yang Haoyuan Pan Lijie Yao Zhenmin Bao Chunde Wang Shi Wang | 2020 | Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,2: | 1 |
| 13 | A robust polyacrylic acid/chitosan cryogel for rapid hemostasis显示文摘Currently,it is a challenge to develop hemostatic materials with high water absorption capacity and anti-fatigue properties for quickly preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs.A series of polyacrylic acid/chitosan(PAA/CS)cryogels were prepared by a cryostructurization technique to improve mechanical performance and hemostatic efficiency of chitosan(CS).In this system,the chemically cross-linked PAA network was used as a framework to improve water absorption behaviors and mechanical strength.The CS network was co-blended by hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions,both of which synergistically promoted hemostasis.These cryogels had high porosity(>94%),rapid water absorption rate(<3 s),high blood absorption capacity(>2000%),outstanding mechanical strength,and fatigue resistance.Moreover,the results of cytotoxicity and hemolysis demonstrated that the cryogels had good biocompatibility.Notably,the PAA/CS cryogels exhibited superior whole blood coagulation ability and red blood cell and platelet adhesion ability compared to those of commercial hemostatic dressing(gauze,gelatin sponges,and CS sponges).Based on these results,mouse femoral artery hemorrhage models and liver hemorrhage models were prepared to investigate the hemostatic ability of the prepared PAA/CS cryogels.Results suggested that the hemostatic ability of PAA5/CS cryogels was superior to that of commercial hemostatic materials.Therefore,the PAA/CS cryogels showed potential application in preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs. | SHI MingYue JIANG LiJie YU ChaoJie DONG XiaoRu YU QingYu YAO MengMeng HE ShaoShuai YUE ZhiWei YAO FangLian ZHANG Hong SUN Hong LI JunJie | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5: | 1 |

| 20 | kdm4aa is required for reproduction and development of zebrafish显示文摘Lysine-specific demethylase 4A(KDM4A)catalyzes demethylation of histone lysine residues,which regulates chromatin state and transcription.In drosophila and mice,KDM4A plays an important role in multiple biological processes including development,aging,metabolism,and immunity,however the functions of KDM4A in fish are still unclear.There are two copies of the kdm4a gene in zebrafish,namely kdm4aa and kdm4ab,kdm4aa was edited using CRISPR/Cas9 technology in the present study,then homozygous kdm4aa mutants(kdm4aa^(-/-)��)were obtained,and loss of kdm4aa was confirmed by sequencing and increased H3K9me3.Whole-mount in situ hybridization showed that kdm4aa is widely expressed during the embryonic development of zebrafish.Compared with WT zebrafish,kdm4aa^(-/-)��zebrafish showed no significant difference in gamete formation and fertilization,but the survival rate of kdm4aa^(-/-)��embryos dramatically reduced to 21%at 26 hpf.Further observation showed that about 80%of survived kdm4aa^(-/-)��zebrafish experienced disruption in stripe formation,and 10%of survived kdm4aa^(-/-)��zebrafish underwent vertebral malformation.Alizarin red S staining demonstrated the abnormal spinal development in kdm4aa^(-/-)��zebrafish.These results indicated that kdm4aa is required for normal embryonic development of zebrafish,loss of kdm4aa function leads to decreased survival during the early stages of zebrafish development and morphological variation in adult zebrafish. | Lijie Han Juntao Luo Songya Qu Xueling Shi Junfang Zhang Bingshe Han | 2023 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2023,8,6: | 0 |
