| 3 | Simultaneous attack of a stationary target using multiple missiles: a consensus-based approach显示文摘This paper considers the simultaneous attack problem of multiple missiles against a stationary target. Built upon the classic proportional navigation structure, we propose a consensus-based approach to design the cooperative guidance law. Specifically, we present time-varying navigation ratios for the missiles,which exchange the time-to-go estimates between neighboring missiles via a communication network. For the cases where the communication topology is undirected or in the leader–follower structure with a missile acting as the leader whose navigation ratio cannot be tuned, we show that the proposed cooperative guidance law can solve the simultaneous attack problem. | 5 | Inhibiting autophagy enhances sulforaphane-induced apoptosis via targeting NRF2 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Sulforaphane(SFN), a natural anti-tumor compound from cruciferous vegetables, has been reported to induce protective autophagy to cancer cells, which might impair the anti-tumor efficiency of SFN. However, the accurate function and mechanism of SFN inducing autophagy in cancers are still obscure, especially in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC), one of malignancies with high incidence in North China. Here, we mainly explored the potential function of autophagy upon SFN treatment in ESCC and molecular mechanism. We demonstrated that SFN could inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis by activating caspase pathway. Moreover, we found activation of NRF2 pathway by SFN was responsible for the induction of autophagy and also a disadvantage element to the anti-tumor effects of SFN on ESCC, indicating that SFN might induce protective autophagy in ESCC. We, therefore,investigated effects of autophagy inhibition on sensitivity of ESCC cells to SFN and found that chloroquine(CQ) could neutralize the activation of SFN on NRF2 and enhance the activation of SFN on caspase pathway, thus improved the anti-tumor efficiency of SFN on ESCC in vitro and in vivo. | 7 | Efficacy and safety of duloxetine in Chinese breast cancer patients with paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy显示文摘Objective: Chemotherapy with paclitaxel is associated with significant neurotoxicity that may offset patients' quality of life and therapeutic benefits. This prospective, non-randomized control study evaluated the efficacy and safety of an antidepressant drug, duloxetine, at 30 or 60 mg/d, in the treatment of paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy(PIPN) in Chinese breast cancer patients.Methods:A total of 102 patients with a median age of 50(range,25–60)years,treated in the Department of Medical Oncology,National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College,between November 2014 and January 2017 were finally enrolled.Stratified by baseline characteristics,the patients were classified into two groups,receiving either duloxetine or alternative antineurotoxicity drugs.During the course of the paclitaxel regimen,the eligibility criteria included sensory neuropathy,as evaluated by the National Cancer Institute-Common Toxicity Criteria for Adverse Events.The treatment consisted of receiving 30 mg duloxetine(for the first 4 weeks)and 60 mg duloxetine for an additional 8 weeks,or any other anti-neurotoxicity drug daily during the same crossover period.The improvement associated with PIPN from the patient’s perspective were assessed by the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Taxane(FACT-Tax)Scales,which contained questions scored from 0 to 4(0,not at all;4,very much;total score range,0–44).Results:Duloxetine was more effective in decreasing PIPN(odds ratio=5.426;95%confidence interval,1.898–15.514;P=0.002).Between duloxetine group and control group,the median(25th–75th percentiles)decreasing difference in the FACT-Tax pain score was 4(2–6)vs.1(0–4)(P=0.005).Conclusions:Duloxetine is a promising and safe option with tolerable toxicity at a dose of 60 mg/d for Chinese breast cancer patients with PIPN.Non-neuropathy adverse events were mild and similar in both groups.The major toxicities of duloxetine included nausea,constipation,somnolence,dizziness and distention of the eyes.Further examination of the benefits of duloxetine in the prevention of PIPN is required. | Jiani Wang Qing Li Binghe Xu Tongtong Zhang Shanshan Chen Yang Luo | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5: | 5 |
| 8 | Dose-dense paclitaxel plus carboplatin vs.epirubicin and cyclophosphamide with paclitaxel as adjuvant chemotherapy for high-risk triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Objective:The objective of this open-label,randomized study was to compare dose-dense paclitaxel plus carboplatin(PCdd)with dose-dense epirubicin and cyclophosphamide followed by paclitaxel(ECdd-P)as an adjuvant chemotherapy for early triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods:We included Chinese patients with high recurrence risk TNBC who underwent primary breast cancer surgery.They were randomly assigned to receive PCdd[paclitaxel 150 mg/m2 on d 1 and carboplatin,the area under the curve,(AUC)=3 on d 2]or ECdd-P(epirubicin 80 mg/m2 divided in 2 d and cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m2 on d 1 for 4 cycles followed by paclitaxel 175 mg/m2 on d 1 for 4 cycles)every 2 weeks with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)support.The primary endpoint was 3-year disease-free survival(DFS);the secondary endpoints were overall survival(OS)and safety.Results:The intent-to-treat population included 143 patients(70 in the PCdd arm and 73 in the ECdd-P arm).Compared with the ECdd-P arm,the PCdd arm had significantly higher 3-year DFS[93.9%vs.79.1%;hazard ratio(HR)=0.310;95%confidence interval(95%CI),0.137-0.704;log-rank,P=0.005]and OS(98.5%vs.92.9%;HR=0.142;95%CI,0.060-0.825;log-rank,P=0.028).Worse neutropenia(grade 3/4)was found in the ECdd-P than the PCdd arm(47.9%V5.21.4%,P=0.001).Conclusions:PCdd was superior to ECdd-P as an adjuvant chemotherapy for early TNBC with respect to improving the 3-year DFS and OS.PCdd also yielded lower hematological toxicity.Thus,PCdd might be a preferred regimen for early TNBC patients with a high recurrence risk. | Qing Li Jiani Wang Yuxin Mu Tongtong Zhang Ying Han Jiayu Wang Qiao Li Yang Luo Fei Ma Ying Fan Pin Zhang Binghe Xulj | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4: | 4 |

| 10 | Diffusion Bonding of Dissimilar Intermetallic Alloys Based on Ti_2AlNb and TiAl显示文摘Direct diffusion bonding of an orthorhombic Ti 2 AlNb base alloy to a TiAl base alloy, Ti-22Al-23Nb-2Ta and Ti-46.2Al-2Cr-2Nb-0.15B (at. pct), was carried out and the interface microstructure, formation of new phase at the interface and joint strength were characterized. At low temperature, a new phase with AlNb 2-structure, Al(Nb, Ti) 2 , was formed in the interface region adjacent to the O base alloy. The α 2 was found to be the major reaction product and developed in the interface region adjacent to the TiAl alloy as well as in the region adjacent to the O base alloy accompanying the formation of Al(Nb, Ti) 2 . The occurrence of Al(Nb, Ti) 2 has been attributed to the different diffusivity of Nb and Al, leading to a eutectoid-like reaction. At relatively high temperature, Al(Nb, Ti) 2 did not form due to enhanced diffusion of Nb but a B2-enriched zone formed on the O alloy side instead after long holding time. | 11 | Hepatic encephalopathy complicated with hyponatremia and acid-base disturbance and its prognosis显示文摘Objective:To improve the diagnosis and therapeutic effect of occurrence and development of hyponatremia and disorder of acid-base balance among patients with hepatic encephalopathy(HE) by elucidating the regularity and mechanism,as well as its influence on prognosis.Methods:327 HE patients admitted to our hospital from January 1990 to June 2010 were enrolled.Meanwhile 316 patients hospitalized in the medical department of the same hospital were chosen as the control group.Patients in both groups were given the same methods to measure arterial blood gas parameters(pH value,PaCO2,[HCO3-],TCO2,BE and SaO2),blood biochemistry([Na+],[K+],[Cl-]),liver function,kidney function and blood glucose,serum sodium,and thereupon tocalculate the anion gap(AG) and the potential [HCO3-],and acid-base balance disorder.Results:Among the 327 HE patients,hyponatremia was found in 188 cases(57.4%),of whom 132 patients died(70.2%).While among the 316 patients in control group,68 presented with hyponatremia(21.5%),and 19 died(27.9%).The incidence and mortality were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.001).All the 327 patients presented with different degrees of acid-base balance disorder and 178 died(54.4%),in whom 164(50.2%) belonged to simple acid-base balance disorder and 74(45.1%) died,136(41.6%) were dual acid-base balance disorder and 80(58.8%) died,27(8.2%) were triple acid-base disturbance and 24(88.9%) died.Whereas in the control group only 83 patients(26.2%) were recognized as simple and dual acid-base balance disorder,and 18(21.7%) died.There was higher incidence of acid-base balance disorder and mortality rate in HE group than control one(P<0.001).Conclusion:Hyponatremia is valuable to judge HE patients' prognosis.The key parameters in the judgment and evaluation on acid-base balance disorder among HE patients are the change of pH values and serum electrolyte values.When pH value ≤ 7.30 or > 7.55,it generally suggests a poor prognosis. | Ren Chengshan Wang Lei Zhao Xiaoyan Yang Shiming Zhang Yanqi Wang Xiwen Bo Jianying Zhang Pengbin Guo Hong Ling Xianlong Li Yihui Da Siping Xie Xia Ren Wei Li Chunhua Qian Guisheng | 2012 | Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2012,27,3: | 3 |
| 12 | Short-term biochar effect on soil physicochemical and microbiological properties of a degraded alpine grassland显示文摘Soil remediation is an important part of the restoration process of degraded terrestrial ecosystems.Due to its unique properties,biochar is being used widely as an effective soil modifier in agricultural systems,but research is still rare on biochar application in grassland ecosystems,especially in degraded alpine grasslands.In this study,we conducted a plot experiment to investigate the effect of biochar application on soil physicochemical properties and microorganisms at the 0–20 cm soil depth of a degraded alpine grassland in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China.The experiment consisted of four corn straw biochar application levels(0%,0.5%,1%and 2%,with the percentage representing the ratio of biochar weight to the dry weight of soil in the surface 20 cm soil layer).When the biochar addition increased from 0%to 2%,total nitrogen,total organic carbon and available phosphorus in the 0–10 cm soil layer increased by 41%,55%and 45%,respectively,in the second year after biochar addition.Meanwhile,soil electrical conductivity decreased,and soil water content increased.Total microbial,fungal and bacterial biomasses in the 0–10 cm soil layer increased from 9.15 to 12.68,0.91 to 1.34,and 3.85 to 4.55μg g^(-1),respectively.The relative biomasses of saprophytic fungi and methanotrophic bacteria decreased,while the relative biomasses of ectomycorrhizal fungi and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi increased.These results indicate that biochar has a great potential in improving microbial activity and soil fertility in soil remediation of the degraded alpine grassland. | Jinsheng LI Xinqing SHAO Ding HUANG Kesi LIU Jianying SHANG Qian ZHANG Tianci ZHAO Xiaomeng YANG | 2022 | Pedosphere2022,32,3: | 3 |

| 14 | Thyroxine treatment for elderly patients with heart failure and sick euthyroid syndrome显示文摘Objectives To evaluate the effect of thyroid hormone therapy with low dose of thyroxin on cardiac function in elderly patients with heart failure and sick euthyroid syndrome. Methods Forty-seven patients (33 males and 14 females, mean age 85.9+4.6 years,ranging from 80 to 99 years) with chronic heart failure (NYHA Ⅱ-Ⅳ) and low triiodothyronine (T3) state were randomly allocated to the treatment group or control group. The treatment group patients received oral administration of levothyroxine sodium (Euthyrox) 25-50mg/d in addition to conventional therapy of heart failure, whereas patients in control group were given conventional therapy only. Serum level of total T3 (TT3), free T3 (FT3), total thyroxine (TT4), free thyroxine (FT4), and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) were determined. For both groups, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and stroke volume (SV) were assessed by two-dimensional echocardiography before and at 8 weeks after treatment. The changes of these parameters after the treatment were evaluated by adjusting heart rate in the two groups. Results The reduced serum T3 level in the treatment group was corrected after thyroid hormone therapy,and these patients had a significant improvement in cardiac function after treatment. By contrast, in the control group only changes of serum TT3 and TT4 levels and SV and LVEF after treatment were statistically significant. The heart rate-adjusted mean SV and LVEF in both groups were also increased, which was significantly greater in the treatment group than in the control group. | 15 | Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules reduce atherogenesis and promote the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 in rabbit atherosclerotic plaque macrophages and the liver显示文摘Objective:ATP-binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA1)is an integral membrane protein that plays a key role in cellular lipid metabolism,preventing the accumulation of lipids that contribute to the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis.Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules are a Chinese herbal compound that is capable of treating atherosclerosis.This study was designed to explore the potential pharmacological mechanism by which Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules protect against atherosclerosis.Methods:Forty-nine male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into seven groups:normal control group,normal diet;model groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet for 6 or 12 weeks;statin groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet plus atorvastatin for 6 or 12 weeks;and Chinese herb groups 1 and 2:balloon injury and high-fat diet plus Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules for 6 or12 weeks.The granules were administered at a dose of 1.14 g/kg/d,with atorvastatin(1.14 mg/kg/d)serving as positive control.Serum lipid profiles and liver function indices were measured.Atherogenesis was viewed after H&E staining and quantified by thickened intimal area percentage and maximal intimal thickness percentage.The ABCA1 protein expression in atherosclerotic plaque macrophages of the common carotid arteries(CCA),thoracic aortae(TA),and liver tissues were observed by immunohistochemical staining and evaluated using mean optical density(OD)value in macrophages and ABCA1-positive hepatocyte number.Results:Compared with model group 1 at week 6,Chinese herb group 1 and statin group 1 displayed significant reductions in total cholesterol(TC)(PZ0.027,0.012)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)(PZ0.039,0.028)levels,as well as marked increases in ABCA1-positive hepatocyte numbers(P all<0.001),and only statin group 1 displayed a markedly reducedmaximal intimal thickness percentage in the CCA(P Z 0.018).Compared with model group 2 at week 12,Chinese herb group 2 and statin group 2 all presented significant reductions in TC(P Z 0.011,0.003),LDL-C(P Z 0.017,0.010)and thickened intimal area percentage in the CCA(P Z 0.001,0.022),as well as prominent increases in the ABCA1 OD value of both the CCA(P Z 0.001,0.039)and TA(P Z 0.001,0.025)and positive hepatocyte number(P all<0.001).Chinese herb group 2 had a markedly reduced maximal intimal thickness percentage compared with model group 2(P Z 0.006)and a higher positive hepatocytes number than statin group 2(P Z 0.001).Conclusions:Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules appear to have an anti-atherogenic effect that is most likely mediated by simultaneously upregulating the protein expression of ABCA1 in rabbit atherosclerotic plaque macrophages and in the liver. | Qing Sun Lu Zhang Shuwen Guo Min Zheng Dandan Yang Chenglong Zheng Jiani Wu Jian Liu Jingping Wu | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,1: | 2 |

In this study, an impact-sliding wear test rig is developed to investigate the wear effect of different complex motions. Using this rig, multi-type impact-sliding wear effects are realized and measured, such as those derived from unidirectional, reciprocating, and multi-mode combination motions. | 17 | A polypyrrole-coated acetylene black/sulfur composite cathode material for lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur batteries are promising next-generation energy storage devices beyond conventional lithium ion batteries. However, it suffers from rapid capacity fading and poor cyclic stability. Here we report a facile in situ sulfur deposition and chemical oxidative polymerization method for preparing acetylene black/sulfur@polypyrrole(AB/S@PPy) composite as a cathode material for lithium–sulfur batteries. It is demonstrated that PPy is covered uniformly onto the surface of the AB/S composite forming a core–shell structure. In the structure, AB in the matrix and PPy on the surface acts as a combined conductive framework to provide ions and electrons transport pathways, and to inhibit the dissolution or diffusion of polysulfide into the electrolyte. The as-designed AB/S@PPy composite exhibits excellent rate capability and cyclic stability. The initial discharge specific capacity is as high as 1179.4 m Ah/g, and remains at769.3 m Ah/g after 80 cycles at 0.2 C.
